So unhygienic place. They could have maintained it according to the current needs. They are still in 90's They are established, so they can easily add value to customers by giving the hygienic food and charge more.
Unhygenic and unkept restaurant. Filled with flies. Uniforms of waiters are unwashed and stained. Coffee served was not even warm. They have successfully managed to ruin the brand image.
This is one of the ICH chain restaurants. It's easy accessible in NH and has ample car parking facilities.
ICH foods are unique from other restaurants, particularly the taste of masala dosa and cutlets.
The cleanliness and interior ambience can be improved. Even so, they are providing value for money in terms of food and service quality. The staff is well-behaved and courteous. ICH staff members are all natives and not from other states.
We ordered chapathi and chicken curry. The chapathi was not served hot. When we were having the food, a cat was there under the table. When it was reported to the staff, their response was like it is a common. They didn't even apologize for that.
As the name suggests this place is best for coffee and a bite. Having other cousines here would be disappointing. Hope this place would regain its lost charm
Don't have the classic look of an ICH, as it is a converted place and has its own draw backs, like slightly congested seating and not very tidy. Expect local crowd as well. Food and services are at par. Parking is an advantage since it is on a busy highway
Due to limited options of restaurants because of covid, happened to order a meat biriyani during lunch time. It was a disaster.tasteless and meat pieces were like rubber!
Now running takeaway basis, I ordered set of poori&tea, water. They charged Rs: 83. Dispossible glass Rs: 1, parcel charge Rs: 2, food quality avarage.
The food here is good. Once I bought parotta and chilly chicken. I liked the chilli chicken. On my second visit, I bought masala dosa and I liked it as well. The main attraction is ample parking space and its location just beside the main road.
At this time of lockdown due to increasing covid cases the restaurant is running strictly on take away basis. But you can buy tea and coffee in disposable cups. There are well arranged set up for waste disposal and hand washing.
Indian Coffee House! Same taste across all the outlets. Prompt service. Porotta and egg curry is a must try. Tasty food at reasonable rates. I think they can improvise a bit on cleanliness. Good parking space available in front. Can be accessed easily from NH.
Indian Coffee House is a cheap hotel which will get good food for cheap money. For standard travellers i prefer this restaurant.here i and my family enjoyed very much eating
Visited at the time of Corona 2020. Well maintained. Nice food. Had Masala Dhosa, Omelette and tea; All good. Location is so apt that it is easy to spot and turn the vehicle hassle free to the courtyard.
The mutton and chicken cutlet is yummy. But the more yummy is their beetroot sauce which you get along with cutlets. The porotta and egg curry is a must try.
Value for money, hygienic and tasty food. As with any Indian Coffee House run by the Coffee Board Workers' Cooperative, beetroot dishes are the speciality and they're tasty
Indian Coffee house S. L Puram is on the side of Ernakulam Alleppy highway. As far as cleanliness it is just average. Parking space is there. Vegetarian food is available.
Old charm of Indian Coffee House is gone. Very Dirty.they don't care about the basic cleanliness nowadays.and the the famous masala dosa with beetroot was tasting horrible.
The food is Indian coffee house standard. But the ambiance is not as good as compared to other branches. Would be a good place to grab a quick bite or a rushed morning breakfast but is really far from fine dining.
Popular in Kerala, one of a kind 'employee co-operstive', good menu, one of the free places that serve sandwiches, many outlets in the state, liked by a lot of Malayalees.
I relay love to have my food in Indian coffee house. Though the menu items are less, the the available menu is very tasty. If i get a chance i always prefer to have food in India Coffee house any where in India. The staff also goo, polite in behavior. The only issue I am finding is serving time is little more than other similar resurgent, but above all the The Food - Ultimate Taste
Indian Coffee House offers good food at affordable rates. The hotel has good accessibility as it is situated on the highway side. It has a parking space also.
Tasty food provides parking space but there's water shortage so bathroom cleanliness and all are low. Rates are normal for some and others slightly above normal rates.
Place is a little crowded. This is on the NH and eadily accessible. Hence a boon for travellers. Food is satisfactory nothing great to talk about though.
The food is fresh and tasty. Staff is very energetic and quick to listen and service is prompt. My suggestion to them is to start accepting money in digital form. It will make much easier for customers like me who would always like to use digital money.
The India Coffee House chain was started by the Coffee Cess Committee in 1936, when the first outlet was opened in Bombay. In the course of the 1940s there were nearly 50 Coffee Houses all over British India. Due to a change in the policy in the mid 1950s, the Board decided to close down the Coffee Houses. Encouraged by the communistleader A. K. Gopalan (AKG), the workers of the Coffee Board began a movement and compelled the Coffee Board to agree to handover the outlets to the workers who then formed Indian Coffee Workers' Co-operatives and renamed the network as Indian Coffee House. A co-operative began in Bangalore on 19 August 1957, and one was established in Delhi on 27 December 1957. Later Bellary and Madras (Chennai) Societies were separated from their mother societies
