A far cry from the famous India coffee house which i used to frequent every time I visited Cochin. Probably things have changed after COVID most probably.
Good food served neatly and on time. Recommended to taste the Chicken Cutlet here, it's served with sauce and salad on the side. The best economical choice.
After eating the biryani, my eyes and nose watered and went away. More spice less rice. Papadam was not given at all. If in the toilet, there is no place to turn and no cleanliness. As there is no better restaurant in the area, there is no other fulfillment than tolerating it.
Their cutlets lost its old taste, so try their Bombay toast it’s excellent, lemon tea also not bad when compared with BTH cleanliness is excellent when it comes to 1st floor compared with ground floor as toilets smell sucks
I am a big fan of the Indian coffee house outlets but this one is not it. The food is below average and the staffs lack patience. We ordered ghee roast and the taste was nothing like ghee, feels like it was something else they added. And also the sambar was so watery and pitiful. I would suggest you guys to do to some other outlet or at least search for a better place around this area like Oottupura because I would not want you to have an experience like this.
Indian Coffee House is more of a story and grab thing. An experience of olden era with beetroot as primary ingredient in most veg dishes. Just give a try!
No compromise in food quality. I got seat in first floor, but there i felt lack of waiters there. Once a waiter came i called him and he was not interested in taking orders. I dont know why. Please improve waiters attitude.
Neat, tidy and hygienic. Extremely cheap. Have been feeding me for 40 years. Cleanliness has come down a bit compared to 40 years back. Taste of coffee remains same. And offering a decent job to many. Thanks
Typical coffee house taste, ie the masala dosas have beetroot in them, goes well with a glass of cold coffee. Get the balcony seats for a good view of the street too.
Not at all clean and neat surrounding, service is below average, you have to wait for a long even for making your orders even during rushless hours. Dishes were good.
Good place for tea, coffee and snacks. Must try beef and chicken cutlet. Special beetroot sauce is too good. Average ambiance. Can get coffee powder and honey too. Omellette is also good. Easily identifiable from heavy traffic. Staff is good and quick in service.
Best place for fresh Dosa and Beef items. Medan foods are available here. Good service. Fresh coffee powder available for sale. Cheruthen also available. Economic food in good quality and quantity we can expect. Recommend those who travel frequently, as they have good ingredients and freshly prepared. Fresh juice available as per season. Lemon and Pineapple almost all seasons available. Shakes with ice cream in different flavors can be enjoyed.
One of the oldest most popular restaurant chain in Kerala. It is a workers' initiative under the legendary leadership of Sri AK Gopalan. The exclusivity of Indian Coffee House is its Cold Coffee. I have not tasted better cold coffee from any where else. Even other wise their coffee is excellent. They serve a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. Service is good. Cleanliness at the hand washing area and at the toilet is what we cannot compromise. If they arrange for cleaning at regular intervals, it will be enough.
