Jayalakshmi Silks

I had asked the staff to keep aside two pieces i had looked at as I would come back the following day to purchase it. She agreed to it and told me her name and to ask for her when I would come back. But when I went back she said she didn’t recognise me and obviously hadn’t kept the two pieces aside. One of the other staff did recall her telling me this. The staff began searching fot the piece when I showed them the picture (thank god I took it). As this was taking up time I offered to come back another time as I had somewhere else to be. But when i gad come back they hadn’t found it and again began searching for it all over again. Was very disappointed in this. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is thatthey did find the one I wanted eventually and also the staff is actually very polite in general and did all work together to find what I wanted

Despite the good collection the staff here are arrogant and Non responsive. We went there to purchase a saree and we asked to the salesperson (fancy saree section) to show us some sarees which she didn't do at all. She walked around here and there and still didn't help us with the saree. Moreover she was very much ignorant to us. Also we asked for a particular saree which she told is not available there but we found it on the rack.

This is how I can describe this fantastic textiles showroom at Ernakulam. This Jayalakshmi silks is located at MG road which is easily accessible from the Kaloor side as well as from the Thevara side. The vehicle parking area is big and free of cost. The security at the parking gate is very helpful and kind enough.

About the textiles - The sarees sections are very wide and you have many choices to opt for. The kid sections on the fourth floor and gents sections in the first floor are also up to the mark. There are many staff and they were very keen to understand the customer needs and very helpful in choosing a dress. The number of trial rooms are limited.

Billing and payment is seamless and the delivery of the item is taking a bit of time as there is not enough staff and counters.

Overall, the hospitality and the choices are up to the mark. And about the price - I could see some of the good sarees ranging from 2000 and kids dress from 300/-

Went here on my vacation due to nostalgia. They haven’t updated the interior from 10 years ago. It’s still the same. I feel like they’re not keeping up with the trends and things feel a bit dated. But I still buy something from here every time.

I'm not satisfied with the dress collections in this shop. I was hoping for more variety, styles and colors

Wide variety of dress collections, rates is to much but comparing to the quality it's ok

Purchased dress for my parents and inlaws. Really good collection in all ranges for sarees but felt like they should add variety in other sections as well.

Saree was the only thing that they have enough collections on.
Shirtings, Salwars, Kurtas/Kurtis are all having sub-par collections.

With 75 years of experience in textile industry is more than enough to say something about Jayalakshmi Silks. Best place to shop for quality products. Always No1 with their on way of style n quality. Kochi showroom will give us an amazing shopping experience n each staff's are good. Large area for parking is another thing to mention, place like MG road is a key point to say. Above all Jayalakshmi Silks always maintain their quality shopping experience

One of the best ethnic Indian and traditional kerala wears collections are very large.westen branded clothings also available

Billing can be made paperless and simple process. It will be difficult for customers in peak/rush shopping days.

Good collection at affordable prices, especially for women. Stocks of materials run out fast, so if you like something buy it, you may not get it the next time. Cordial staff. Ample parking.

For kerala brides every one wear silk sarees.but here they treat only one who purchase more, that means average and below average customers treats worse. In my opinion people who have money to purchase above 25 k sarees get better packing.others are paper bags for jayalakshmi

Did my wedding shopping here. They have an amazing collection of sarees and many customer friendly staffs. Floor manager Mr. Eldhose Benny went an extra mile and took our shopping experience to another level. Many thanks to all the staffs.

Variety collections are there but the staffs are not coperative. Patient less people. They are not giving much time for selecting our favorites.

Had to drop in for a last minute dress hunt. The staffs were extremely friendly and assisted us really well.

Good collection of sarees and other dress materials are available.
Covid protocol are tried to be followed by providing hand gloves and temperature check. But with so many customers coming they need to have a slight control of the number of people entering.
Other then that a good collection of clothes are available from kids to elderly people

I'm an old customer of Jayalakshmi I used to adore the inhouse jingle and the way they treated every customer. Which I felt was missing these days. Some staffs provide exceptional service and some don't which needs improvement. So rating 3 from 5 stars.

No staff to assist even after waiting and requesting for 15mins, and you are not supposed to help yourself with the cloths. If we go and take cloths from the shelf by ourselves, someone will approach and say you can’t do that.lol.

The place is good and has good varieties but the worst part is after you pay the delivery takes forever. You have to be in que for a minimum of 1 hr and if you have a long list take a seat in advance coz that's the only part where you have to wait. Need to hire more staff.

Its a marketplace. Highly disorganised. We went to see bridal saree collection and sarees that they claim to be of 55k 50k were lying on the floor. I mean you should atleast have the courtesy to fold those sarees back into the rack after you've shown to the customer. I felt disgusted seeing just that and left as soon as possible.

Very good collection of fabrics. Saw amazing sarees with jari in the range of 15 K. I think you get the best sarees here in Kochi as we have purchased our Kanchipuram sarees mainly from here. Purchased my wedding saree here through video shopping. Must say, such humble staff and they have wide range of collections. Will definitely recommend to others. My saree was delivered within 2 days and I am so happy with my purchase.

Huge collection of clothing for all occasions, mainly for wedding. Sunday's are too crowded. "Tassel making" (കുഞ്ജലം കെട്ടൽ) for the silk sarees are time consuming process, it took around 2 hours for the so called tassel making when we did the purchase.

The ever helpful staff who receives you will direct you to the exact selection point, this ensures better selection of dress materials as per your taste, this can save your shopping time. Another thing is here a wide range of uniform dress materials for different of schools, colleges, commercial establishments are also available. The management's of this institution can choose and order uniforms as per taste and needs. Ample parking space (subject to terms) are also available with sufficient security and a good bag deposit facility also is there to make your shopping hassle free.

Great place for women's wedding collection. The female staff is very dedicated and hard working.

The men's collection is fine but the staff is very rude and lazy! Dont buy men's stuff from here.

Good selection. But they don't do alterations in purchased items. Eg: - Bridal dress. This will be a trouble for you to get it done from outside. Many competitors are providing this facility for free of costs. Just did a purchase and it was atmost trouble to get the dress in proper fitting. Most of the stitching units won't accept the items we don't purchase from them.

Got a good experience with the staff who helped us for the shopping. It was a very pleasant shopping when compared to the other big shopping brands.

The Jayalakshmi Silks is one of the oldest and renowned Textile Shops in Ernakulam where my family members have been visiting for the last few decades and purchasing the required clothes and dresses. This shop is very visibly and conveniently situated adjacent to the Mahatma Gandhi road near the Shenoys junction. There are numerous varieties of dresses and sarees and the women gets immersed in this magic world of apparels.

Decent choice for clothing. I first found difficulty in finding their parking space. They have a fees for parking, which is refundable by showing the purchase bill. Showroom looks a bit crowded, but the staff is efficient in managing and attending to each and every customer.
Only thing I didn't like was the wait for delivery, after paying the bill. They could have deviced a better and customer friendly method though.
