Fish biriyani cost 280/- it was full of cardamom. Fish items was not up to the price. Ordered mussels pepper fry and it was bland. Fish curry meals costed 145/- and veg meals 95/- only difference was a single fish curry. The lighting was dark and very unpleasant. The wash room was not clean.
The quality of food was good and the service was great. But now the management is really bad and the quality of food has decline. The staff they have hired are worthless and rude
We were here on the 5th Nov for a family lunch. We had ordered Chicken Kondatam, prawns pepper fry.chicken, prawn and mushroom biryani and few other items. Food taste was worst. Same masala for everything u order! Sweet sour and tasteless.
The food taste and quantity was great! Authentic Kerala paratha and even the wheat paratha! Squid fry was also good. Fish curry meals had a lot of options. The only issue I could find was that Salt was a tiny bit more than what i would prefer.
The quantity and Taste of the food was good. The ambience of the restaurant is also good. Wide variety of seafood is available here. Now moved to basement. Parking facility is available nearby. We tried prawns and squid fry and enjoyed. The service was quick the friendly. On the whole good value for money. Will visit again. Service can be improved bit. It will be good if meals are less spicy.
This restaurant is a great choice for sea food lovers.the most attractive and the part I loved a lot about this restaurant is its awesome ambience.the restaurant is well maintained.excellent customer service.the menu comes with many varieties of tasty dishes.meen pothi chooru is my favourite dish here.the food is of good quality.the only problem I felt is the serving delay
The best dishes served and lives up to the name ️ mainly the sea food collection the best and the smell of the biriyani and pulavs make our minds go all the way to the paradise level. Even though it takes time to cook we know that the best food served takes much time than a half cooked dish I hope they will have a wndrful future
Has a wide variety of dishes. Decor and ambience is good and has a premium touch. Ambient music selection was actually horrible. (songs with higher bpm). Meals was good. 7/10 Squid pepper fry was tried and regretted, Masala was good but the meat part was without an emotion. 4/10 Payasam served with the meals was 10/10 ️
I have been to this restaurant many times since it has started, Due to covid there has been a very steady downfall in the visitors, now when i go here i hardly find anyone specially in weekdays. Although they have more orders online and through zomato. Till a year ago this restaurant was doing very good, now i think its not that vibrant, food although is good but they have reduced the menus and due to less crowd and even less staff service is also slow, but still i come here only for fish dishes, not so good in prawns items bcos in palakkad you dont get good prawns but their fish items are still decent compared to others, their soups specially nadan soups are very good. I cant say anything about their chicken and other items since i never eat chicken and other stuff here. Overall its a great restaurant which was being doing very good in past and i hope it comes back again to its best again as before. Some observation from my side for improvement # Staff are very less and they are hardworking but they seem to be running here and there so feel sory for them but service is also getting late # Speciality of kadal is seafood and few times i had other items like chicken and beaf dishes i did not like, so either concentrate on seafood only or if you are serving other items then make it as better than your seafood items. # Washroom need some quick maintenance, little bit cleaner with good handwash is must and tissues welcomed.
Food was not good at all. Ordered a CB and got a really hard and not properly cooked chicken. When given feedback, the instant reply was that "since morning same was delivered and noone complained".
Ambiance: 4/5 Washroom: 0/5 (stinking, no handwash, no tissues) Food: 2/5 Service: 2/5
Not a place with to rely on seafood completely. They have only limited seafood items considering the geography of the place being in a non coastal region
It's ok to have food from there. My experience was day before yesterday we have ordered veg soup hot and sour flavour but they have delivered some pepper flavoured soup. And it was below average. Need to improve customer service and taste of the dishes.
The ambience and service was nice but the food taste was little below expectations, we had meals, beef roast, koondal fry and biriyani. We didnt like the taste of koondal fry, could have been better. Rest all were tasted good.
Excellent tasty food, provided innovative ideas in preparing the food. Very nominal charge, away from towns Hussle and tussle. Enough car parking space
Food is good. But little hot inside. Air conditioner is not working properly. Very Less crowded area. Parking available. Restaurant is on second floor.
Good ambience but I really didn't like their soups. The soup was very salty. They don't provide tomato sauce and chilly sauce with the soup, only soya sauce was provided. Gulag jamun was good though.
The place and ambience are good. Maintained neat and clean. Spacious with comfortable chairs. Service is friendly and nice. The food not upto the mark. We ordered aikoora mulangu thechadu fry and prawns tawa fry. We were told that both were typical Kerala style preparation. Aikoora dish was more like a Chinese chilly garlic mix spread over the fish and fish seemed to be old. Prawns had excessive coconut pieces and spice but the taste had not got blended with the prawns. Presentation was good though. Taste needs to be improved and preparation needs to be needed to. The music was calm melodious Malayalam movie tracks of the 90s.
Served low quality chicken only having bones and charges 190 for a plate. Service is pathetic and takes one hour to deliver food. In fact, we got our friend rice after desserts were served
Food is great. Especially the seafood. They have daily specials which are quite great. Their menu doesn't cover multiple cuisines but they stick to what they know and they do it pretty decently. Seafood tends to be expensive always and the rates are comparable to other restaurants. Parking space is available thought it doesn't have a proper structure or sun shade.
My main gripe is that the air conditioning is set to the minimal level possible and it gets too hot inside especially during lunch hours. Plus they can provide purified water at room temperature from a water purifier (which I'm guessing they use for cooking) for the tables too. Their only option is their burning hot dahashamani water or you have to pay extra for mineral water bottles.
Definitely worth a shot. It's a little away from the hustle and bustle of the town and that's a good thing actually.
