Unmatched variety of food compared to any other authentic kerala food restaurants in and around Kakkanad

The details on the menu are totally incorrect as we ordered duck roast and got a duck mappas which was no where near to what we ordered and we also ordered fish which was nearly 300 rupees but was not at all worth it. We only got a small piece of fish with an awful taste.
It is one of the worse restaurants i have purchased from.

This is a hardly average restaurant. Rather than the restaurant, the highlight is the Toddy shop by the side. The toddy shop is too shabby and as always it seems adulterated. You can buy toddy if you have bottle with you. Also note that they don't serve toddy in the restaurant. Since the food is brought from the toddy shop, it is quite spicy. Pork fry is good. Prawns not recommended due to the poor flavour and quantity. They have Pearl Spot, King fish, Rabbit fry, duck roast, Quail fry etc. Pricing is moderate for most dishes.

Recently visited this hotel and it was a worst experience ever I had. All the foods were ordered too much spicy and the owners never bothered about the feedback that I provided. I have lost the affinity towards this hotel and I will never suggest anyone to this hotel.

Good meals. You get variety of items like rabbit, squid, duck etc. Only cons are the behaviour of the entire staff there and the items are too expensive.

Not hygiene.
Food is ok ok. You can consider it as average.
No Gpay/Phonepay facilities.
Parking space is available.

Nobody cares about the customer. Right now am in the restaurant and they dont even know what's in the kitchen.

On the way to wonderla. Decent rates. Had limited options for breakfast. But there are many options and specials for lunch and after.

Great seafood with lot of options. Ambience is OK. Very simple, non AC. They have a toddy shop next to the restaurant if you want to try but it is not served in the restaurant. Ti
Toilets are not very clean

Great Food. Rabbit, prawns, fish, squid and the kerala meals were tasty and economical. The ambience needs to be worked on. Also there is no air conditioning, so it's maybe not a good option for peak summer lunches. Still give it a 4 star because the food was great.

Worst experience faced from here today. Before it was little more better. We have ordered koonthal roast, karimeen fry and prons roast as special, the prons roast is average rest of the other was pathetic, I think the karimeen was around one week older and we already doubted is that a karimeen or philopy. And the koonthal roast is just like chilly water with tomato (thakkali itta mulaku vellathil vevatha koonthal ittathu). When I asked the same to the service person he replied "here it is like this". Before that we ordered kappa biriyani an tha person said it is finished after some time the same person serving kappa biriyani to other table. Such an irresponsible behaviour, as a customer i can't tollarate this.

Note to the owner: if you want run this organization smoothly please spare some time in the hotel and understand the things or post some persons with responsibility

The pidi with chicken curry, I tried the pido for first time it was really good. But the chicken curry is not too much that good becayse the rate is high ₹120 for one curry. I tried the fish curry also its called VILA Fish it was good and cost effective one ₹90 only.

Faced really pathetic experience here.
Fish item (Karimeen) was very hard and look and taste like not fresh, might be few days old.
Also, the customer service is terrible and very angry attitude. Its been like they are throwing curry plates in to table. Even when we are complaining these issues in reception, they are not much like to listen and they don't care about it.

Not at all recommending for anyone!

If there is any option to give 0 start rating, I would give that.

The parking space is even Good enough for a tourist bus. I mean, there is Lots of space. Easy to reach here by travelling down the Kakkanad-Pallikkara road, it is located after the Manakkakadav junction - in the Thrikkakara municipality. A welcoming ambience from the outdoors. Yet there is a toddy shop situated nearby.

Service is a bit slow and doesn't seems to be friendly. There are plenty of special dishes with meals. Not very crowded at lunch time. Food is tasty but quantity is less. Some items like fish fry seems to be costly. Parking for around 7,8 cars. Could have been maintained better. Overall rating on 5; Food: 4, Cleanliness: 3.5, Parking: 4.5, Service: 2.5, Quality: 4.8, Quantity: 3.5

Has been one of my favorite restaurants in Kakkanad pre-Covid. Visited in Oct 2021 again, had meals, and some non-veg dishes. Starting from not sufficient salt in many curries, bad tasting prawns and the like, decided that I wouldn't be making another visit to this favorite restaurant any time soon.

Worst experiance after long time. The rice itslef is not cooked properly. The special items most of them is not fresh. Very bad experiance. It was much better before.

The restaurant is famous for 'shappu food'. Food tastes fine and is reasonably priced. I like the duck roast. Cleanliness is average. Car parking available.

Good restaurant providing quality foods. Their biriyani is a must try item and you would feel as if the biriyani is cooked at your home. They have written infront of their kitchen that they won't use any taste enhancers like ajinomoto and you can definitely feel the difference in their food items too. Their lunch is also a must try item with plenty of dishes at a low price.
