Kalathil Lake Resort

Went for a team outing here and had an absolute blast. Limited outdoor activity space but we planned the activities which did not require much space and it went well. Pedal Boat, Small Snake Boat facilities were excellent. Food was ok but the ambience overpowered it. There are many floating rooms which we did not get a chance to explore

An excellent resort in this area. Beautiful Location - very calm & quiet. Beautiful Rooms. Very well maintained Garden. Fantastic houseboat. Clean swimming pool. Delicious & Hygienic Food.make beautiful memories by staying here. The GM Mr Abhijith is so helpful and taking special care on everyone. He got a fantastic team here. Well trained and sincere crew. We can list a lot about the experience. We are visiting here third time because of all the above. Thanks for such lovely experience.

One of the Lakeview resorts. Ambience and food is amazing. The only reason gave 4 star is the condition of rooms.
You will enjoy the holiday with them and try their houseboat.

Food was just supereb. We had a day out programme.room and other facility was also very good. But some staff was not so friendly.

Best place to hangout with your friends and family. Restaurant is bit pricey. Pool, boating and indoor games are available. No shops are available near to the location. One small shop is available within 5 mins walk

Rooms are not neat. The bathrooms especially are bad for a hotel. But spending a day there would be good, as they have some games and stuff, we didn't use those but spent time in fishing in the backwaters.

The resort is quite good. Has ample space for cycling and pedal boating. Swimming pool is open from 7am to 7pm. And there is also a volleyball court. Speed boat and house boat facilities are also present but we have to pay additional amount to avail those. The place is so beautiful and quite refreshing. Good for morning walk and every guest loves to cycle in these premises. The buffet at the night was good, offered a variety of dishes including soup and deserts. Morning buffet was a decent one. Bedrooms and bathrooms are neat and tidy. Staffs are highly cooperative and their room service is also good.

A very cozy & family friendly place to spend a nice weekend at. Cottages are either with lake frontage or are floating on the artificial lake with a balcony view to the lake. Paddle boats are available as well. Only downside is all the meals are buffet which might not be the best choice for the anorexic ones. Apart from that, the food is great, rooms are above average and most importantly the rates aren't that high compared to resorts with similar amenities and ambience. Would certainly suggest it to propel looking for a nice weekend getaway:)

The excellent property, but only one thing I don't like, I escalated the same at reception, Many gusts also highlighted drinking water they offerd only one bottle, that's I don't like rest all good

An okay resort, pool was freshly chlorined so that was a bummer, overall nice ambience you can walk around or river raft not river raft just a small portion of water which u can row in and there is also a boat tour if you pay extra, there's indoor games and the rooms are great it's like on the body of water which you can raft in, overall good experience. Pools a bit small and if it's crowded, you gotta wait

Located next to Vembanad Lake, Kalathil resorts provide a scenic retreat. It is a family friendly resort with many fun activities including cycling, pedal boating, swimming pool, volley ball and many more. It is a perfect spot for shutterbugs. In house restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. Rooms are spacious with lake view balconies and were well maintained. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Overall had a very pleasant experience and definitely recommend

Nice place if you go with a pack of friends or family. There are facilities like
- pool of decent size,
- volleyball/badminton open court,
- pedal boating
- Small house boat like boat for travel through lake
- speed boat

Rooms are nice and choose one with water frontage. Area is kept clean. Their staff carried our bags from front office to room and back.

"Great Property with Inefficient Management"

Wonderful location and overall great ambience created for a leisure resort.
The architecture of the resort is appealing but they have failed to uplift the look of the room. The room was in shabby and poor condition. Management will have to pull their socks as bathroom were not cleaned before check in.it was a total weird thing to see the head of the department cleaning the bathroom himself so yeah I guess one can easily make out the poor performance of the clumsy staff this beautiful resort sadly has, Mini fridge was provided after demanding and food was of very very poor standard. The only silver lining was swimming pool and boating, for which also they made us wait for next morning as it was closed at 0600 PM.

I feel pity for the owner as such a beautiful property is going waste in hands of inefficient staff. I hope he comes to know of this and take some quick actions to fix the loopholes. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!

It is a beautiful place to spend a day or two away from the hustle and bustle of the Ernakulam Cochin metro in a peaceful and tranquil settings, yet so close to it, may be an hour drive. The water front cottages or villas offer a very ideal retreat with boating, fishing.etc. Food was very good. Day packages are also attractive.

The ambience is awesome. One should come and just stay in Resort.
It has boating, volley ball, swimming and spa to name a few to enjoy with friends and family.
Rooms near the resort lake give a beautiful view. The food is good.ala carte has many options!

The hotel is beautiful, just a few complains though. The water below luxury cottages is still water hence a lot of mosquitoes have breeded there, and the food isn't that good (probably us being non kerealite the food wasn't according to our taste), but rest of the place is awesome. Staff is good and friendly and rooms are huge, wonderful and clean

The resort is located on the banks of back water which makes it a great location. The rooms are quite old with damp in the walls, needs immediate renovation. Service staff and the restaurant staff were really helpful and courteous.

Excellent place to stay with we have enjoyed our trip here at this resort, they have designed and built the rooms and cottages at a brilliant location it's like a floating rooms and cottages, you will enjoy the atmosphere with nature surrounded by water, trees and plants.
Only flaw side was cleanliness needs to be improved and more maintenance was needed.

Booked 2 rooms with water front view for 8th december 2018, Your staff Gave us a different room without our concern, when checked regarding the same, they say it has been upgraded but we booked for a room with the view, we had to settle for the same room as my kids have already used the toilet etc. Had a very bad experience overall!
Staffs at the restaurant was behaving as if we came for a free food and not hospitable at all and very rude.
Bathrooms are very old and not well maintained and the staffs do not respond properly to your request over the phone.
Requested to arrange an auto to travel to vaikom, they have ripped us off literally. When checked with your reception staffs via phone they say its the normal charge but no one here in vaikom agrees to this, They were not even ready to talk to the people they have arranged. Looks like there is some kind of an understanding with the hotel staff and the local drivers for sure to ripoff the guests. Have been to so many different hotels around the country and have never seen an unprofessional staffs like your's.

A very good place for a short stay away from the busy lives. Good food. Lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyed the time we spent here. Friendly staff.

We, as a group recently visited this resort. Though the outside ambience and the rooms which were built on top of water are good, the interior shocked us. Bath room taps and toilet guns were leaking. Images of Chairs in the balcony would look romantic. But it was a hell while I'am without a mosquito lotion. Hardly spent time over there. Charge made for the spillage on dining table cloth is the height of stupidity.
To be frank, I have never made such negative review. But I did now, as my family and friends were not happy in this resort.
Don't know whom to address the issues, as the management itself has to look at its flaws first and then fix other departments.
To Resort team: Please don't loose your reputation on silly stuffs. It's hard to regain.

1. Worst stay with family.
2. If you are going with family you have to take broomstick and floor wiping kit otherwise you will loose your savings (money).
3. They will put fine for everything, its like a army camp we have to follow the resort rules but they will not disclose the rules, like don't stain in the restaurant floor and table if did we have to pay for fine at the end.
4. A/C are controlled by resort admin team, you can't increase or decrease the temperature.i tried to decrease but always its in 30 degree.
5. Swimming pool will allow only 8am to 6pm
6. There is no light near the swimming pool, grass land and most of the place we have to use our mobile torch.

Very calm and serene property. Food was excellent. Well maintained rooms. Boating and pool available. Beautiful place to spend your holidays. Highly recommend.

A very less known, but extremely good place to spent some quality time.
You will enjoy more if you are going in a large group. Food quality is awesome, you will get veg and non veg both.

It is a good place.it has activities like boating, cycling, other sports. It has a decent swiming pool. Not very big but a medium one.

We went for a day outing there.
Food was good. Buffet Items were less but quality of food was nice.

I stayed here with my family and friends couple of days before. Though the ambience was good here, I have had some bad experience to share.

Service:
it was the worst service I have ever had. Service staffs treated us like we are staying there for free. Even receptionists were not pleasent too. Especially the manager was not at all friendly. We paid for spillages in the room.

Food:
Food taste is ok (acceptable). Again we paid for spillages at the restaurant (no damage has been made). The most irritated thing was they took away all non veg dishes from buffet in the middle of our dinner for some veg guests (I can sue this resort for this one specific reason)

Common Areas:
Since it is lake resort, Fencing is not up to the mark in terms of security and They don't have lights near play area and swimming pool. You have to take care of your kids very careful.

Overall:
we couldn't enjoy the ambience and the stay because of the worst service. We didn't see a single happy face from entire service team.
