Kalyan has lost its charm as it has grown old. Earlier when we visited Kalyan felt as a nice place for a family to make a whole purchase. Nowadays even the staff express the state of desperation!

I personally liked the cut piece material collections here. I visited the bridal lehenga section, and that section needs to catch up. They were showing old models. For affordable in trend type of bridal lehengas shobika and sangeeth would be better.

It's a grand outlet that Kalyan silks have near the Thondayad Bypass junction. Each levelis dedicated for different kind of clothing. Lot of options for ladies dressing.
Decent enough parking lot, located centrally in the city and closer to Bypass road makes it a better shopping place

To be honest, I had a very bad experience at Kalyan. I had to get a new formal dress, so this was in my top list to check out, because of the eye candy advertisements all over the place. First of all they had only few collection in that segment, and they all were kind of dress fitted for old "uncles ". On the other hand, I was looking for more vibrant and stylish body fit blazer. They wanted me to take one from those, but I got the one I wished from other shop. The other segment for ladies and kids might be good, but the gent's section was definitely not upto the mark.

Located near to a convenient location with less crowd and lot's of parking space but selection is not great especially men's apparels but for womens saree and set mundu (dhothi) selections are ok, but some of the staff's attitude towards customers is very unpleasant also they won't give you any discounts for your purchase even its big.

Careless staff, did wrong billing and packed wrong stuff, products at men’s wedding section is very poor.

They are famous textile group in calicut and in kerala as a whole. Price is reasonable to certain extend, when compared to other textiles in calicut.has good and spacious parking area.
They really need to work on improving their dress collections, bored of seeing the same collections over the years.

Staffs need training on assisting customers. They wont show you the low cost options. Staffs need to address the customer as per his requirement or choice. And they get easily frustrated after serving and the customer is not selected anything.

I am a regular customer of Kalyan Silks atmost of the time I prefer to buy the kurtis and sarees in Kalyan silks, Pottamal, Kozhikode. I was very much satisfied with their service. However, last time when I did a purchase of kurti from Kalyan Silks Kozhikode there was a damage.when I tried to approach the Kalyan silks for returning the Kurti i had a worst experience with the management. There were behaving as if that that we had done a damage and taken back to them. They were not accepting their mistake at all and the Manager of the store were behaving very rudely with me. However, I fought with the Manager and make return of the product. Thus from my experience I am willing to say to Management that behave with the customers politely and not treat them as victims.

Therefore while purchasing with Kalyan Silks Pottamel be careful on selecting the product and check whether any damages are there are not.
