At a peaceful corner next to coastline line where the soothing roar of the waves keeps you Calm and happy is situated this wonderful resort.
Clean and hygienic ac rooms, The campus is well maintained and not crowded. The staff is helpful and warm.
The standard maintained is good and I got a good offer on my room through online booking.

Everything about this place is exceptional. The location of this place makes it outstanding, and it’s very convenient to reach the beach. It’s got the best aesthetics a beach resort can have. The customer service they provide makes you never wanna leave. It has great views, great customer service, great rooms. Would recommend this place 10/10

I recently visited this property after booking a room, but I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. Despite booking a sea-facing room, the hotel provided me with a room in a building behind it. It was clear that the hotel only uploaded the sea-facing building on booking websites to lure guests. To make matters worse, the customer service of the property management was terrible. They never picked up the phone for inquiries, and when I finally reached the property, the management showed a lot of attitude.

Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding this property for your vacation. It will only end up spoiling your experience. The hotel's false advertising and poor customer service are unacceptable, and it's not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere for a better vacation experience.

The resort was wonderful it was even better than expected. The price was amazing.swiggy zomato is available would defentely stay there again.

Worst room service experienced in lifetime. There is literally no one to take care of. If you need anything then don't expect. There is one manager who never responds on calls. There are 2 boys and very old person who doesn't know English and they dont even know what hospitality is, Complete communication gap. Non ac rooms are like 50 years old. We get far better resorts for the price we pay here. Only good thing here is sea view.

I'm writing a review for the first time in my life because I had a worst experience here. One of their staffs took a video of mine.and when I reported this to the owner of this property, she was not at all helping and was shouting at us.as if I'm telling a lie. She was rude and I can tell the service was very very bad. At last when we decided to leave the place, she told "" oru video eduthunu vechu onum sambavikan pokunillaa"". That dialogue was very very rude.

Kanbay Beach Resort is just underrated. This is one of the best places to relax. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset from the resort while sitting under the coconut trees.

Pros:
- Calm and photogenic resort facing the beach.
- Very few people will be there so you have a lot of privacy, no one will disturb you.
- The manager & Housekeepers are good.
- No issue with car parking. You can park the car inside the resort.

Cons:
- Food was not available, We had to order from Swiggy. They will serve tea & coffee.
- Nearby beaches had a bad smell (Dead fish). No worries, you won't get the smell from the property.
- A lot of coconut trees but you have to be careful. Should not relax under the tree. ;)
- If you want to drink beer, you need to carry it, the nearby store will be around 10km.

Overall this is one of the best places if you can manage food using the app. Go with your family and you will enjoy the sunset.

Great location. We recently visited the resort in the first week of January, resort is located on the sea shore But,
*There's no direct access to the beach, we need to walk 10mins to go to beach.
* We booked non ac room, room was decent but had broken doors, in that doors there were many big spiders.
* They charged 2000₹ for non ac room for one night which was not at all worth it.
* They don't have restuarant, we need to get the food from swiggy or zomato, that will take more than 45mins to reach the resort by the time food reaches us we'll die without food
* They serve only coffee, tea, water
* Lady manager who was there has no knowledge about sightseeing places nearby & staffs don't know English it was difficult for us to communicate with them
* I gave 4*** only because of the location but it was not worth the amount we paid, 2000₹ for non ac room for one night without food.nope I don't think it's worth

Hotel location is just infront of sea and what a peaceful place and staff is also very supportive. Thanks for amazing tea by lijin.he made my morning days.property manager praveena is also very supportive and helpful.

I will definitely give 5 star rating for the services provided by the staffs and management. I was totally depressed and was in need of a place to sort out my mental stress. My close friend referred me to this site. Absolutely a Over the moon experience. The Manager was ready to cater the services in person when the staff couldn't. This made me really happy and delightful. I will definitely visit again and refer all my friends this beautiful location who all visits Kannur.

It was family resort I have ever visited this head staff miss or Mrs whatever praveena is the worst staff of this resort she don't have any manners to talk with their customers even panipuri who takes just Rs. 10 knows how to talk but she doesn't know that also now let's come room service oh sorry they don't provide any room service they have great attitude of ignoring their customers I just hate the resort and the main staff

First of all, my calls went unanswered but immediately followed by a whatsapp message. The resort is located in a very scenic spot, excellent for relaxing. I booked a non AC room which was clean. The compound was neat, but there was some bottles and food litter strewn around the pavillion overlooking the beach. The restaurant is closed and the manager told me that they would be functional soon. Overall the stay at the resort was good enough for me.

The view is very good but there is no restaurant at the resort which is very annoying to get out of the place to buy food. Staff is decent

This is an excellent beach property with great view. The room opens to a Coconut Grove n then a sea which is a very rare view. One should visit this place just to experience the excellent view peace and privacy. There is no food that is served here but can order food via swigy

Effortlessly ruined a family get together. Worst ever stay. Booked AC rooms during humid monsoons thinking its gonna be the best. Room was welcomed by big Cockroaches, zero maintained washrooms without toiletries, received so called fresh bedsheets with baby cockroaches, hyper-powered 2.5T remoteless uncontrollable ACs, stinking rooms.they assured discomfort at he best. Its idiotic to expect a little comfort from a resort without housekeeping, zero calls entertained & only whatsapp resort groups. Isn't it? They are a proven example of zero maintenance resorts.

I had a pleasant experience in this resort. The beach view was good and the service by the hotel staffs were excellent.

Food service not available except tea, coffee and bread omlette which again not so good to taste. Fresh fish, crab and lobster could be served which is very famous in Kannur.
Good view of beach and good to go for a walk and bath. Not so deep so kids can play.
Open tables are available for having food. Drinks allowed.

Stayed in the place yesterday night, amazing ambiance and sea view, Nature is blissful. But about hotel was very disappointed with hospitality and rooms, Booked AC rooms delix rooms (2) Got both with, with cockroaches, dusty bedsheets, AC and less professionalism.

Amazing resort. The view from the room was epic.
The main drawback was with the service, there were two guys who couldn't understand English nor Hindi, and very late services.

Awesome place we enjoyed well they were cooperative. And alll. It I really a crazy time for me.

Great place. You will have a nice view of beach and it's a private beach and you can enjoy a lot. Food menu is very less, other than that had a great experience.

This hotel is worst i ever seen. Mgmt dont have courtesy to provide good service. We have faced worst experience. I contacted them to hold a full day event and their management staff picked up the phone but they did not bother to give me the answer I wanted. They told me to send a message on WhatsApp and I sent a message but they did not reply to me. I called them again the next day. Again they talked to me like before I think the owner of the resort is a guy with big cash I did not think the owner wanted income In there the manager I called 5 times but did not take the call. They charged only high tariff & same not worth. I can only advise pls pls dont book this hotel even in free of charge.

Situated at the very beach side, this coconut tree groves are a must visit for hanging out from the busy schedules of the urban grind. To the management: Include restaurant facility and proper directions from the road so as to reach the location without much hassle.

Very poor rooms. Booked seeing the photos online but the stay was pathetic. There was spiders cockroaches in my room. I had to sleep outside my room in hall way where the workers were staying. The person incharge of the room switched off the phone after 10 pm when i went through the whole ordeal. The coat was in a dirty and almost broken condition. No toiletries.
The next morning was welcomed with around 100 motorcycle riders who had planned an event there so the whole morning was even more worse. I opened my door to the stage of the motorcycle riders event.
May be they may improve atleast by reading these reviews.

Located on a cliff very near to Thottada beach, Kannur. The place is very calm and peaceful. Decent rooms with both AC and Non AC facility.
The property has vast open area and is suitable for family outings as well as with friends.

Except View you don't get anything there, Pls Do not plan or Book this resort, There is FAN which will not work, There is no Hot water, AC is there but no switch for that You have travel every time 7KM for Food, waste of money

Very good place. You can sit and have a sea view. But approach road is very narrow. So big vehicles like TT find difficult but can move.

Location was great. I wish they fix the kitchen soon. Bathroom needs fix. Keep some bucket. Rooms are very basic for this price.

Ambiance was good.
But room was not having facilities. Not even a basket for puting unwanted things. On the first day only we got a bad experience from staffs. Especially the lady manger she was not answering our call. They had informed us that the food from outside is not allowed.but on the next day only we saw the other customers with food stuffs from outsidre There was proper ventilation in room. The manager of the resorts was always busy with her phone. That's why no one was there to take care of us. And she was rude towards customer.

One of the best beach resort at Kannur. This beach is almost a virgin beach. Very convenient to reach, just 20 minutes drive from Kannur airport.
This beach is not like a Goa beach. This is a peaceful beach, no more din and bustle of town. If you want to spend time in a peaceful manner then this place is good for you.

Location is just awesome.overall a decent stay. Food needs to be ordered well in advance, plan accordingly.

We opted to stay at Kanbay expecting to have a direct access to the beach where the kids could spend the short vacation. However, we found that the beach is not accessible from the resort. The closest beach (Thottada) is a 15 minute walk. That being said, the Thottada beach is almost always empty and doubles up as an almost private beach.

Kanbay is not really a resort, but more of a comfortable home stay. The air-conditioned rooms are larger and comfortable. The non-airconditioned ones, though housed in a more traditional looking building is small and cramped.

Its a lovely place to be in to enjoy the cool breeze and shade from the trees. They have hammocks across their grounds which will put you to sleep in no time!

Unfortunately, the place does not have a formal dining area (as of Oct. 2017) or any recreation area (no swimming pool). Food is usually served in the garden in the shade of the trees. Its very nice as long as it does not rain. If it does, you are confined to your rooms.

One other thing is the accessibility - if you choose to stay here, make sure you have your own vehicle.

It's nice but the access to beach is a little detour from the resort. Plus management is not upto the mark. Food is sad.
