I recently stayed at Karikhathi Beach House in Kovalam with friends, and it was an incredible experience. The beachfront cottages were amazing, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The host was exceptional, ensuring all our needs were met with attention to detail. The path to the cottages felt like a nature trail, enhancing the overall tranquility of the place. The view from our cottage was breathtaking, and the stay was complemented by delicious food. Mr. Vinod's dedication to checking our requirements made our stay unforgettable. I look forward to returning to this idyllic retreat later with my family.

Had stayed in this amazing place a year back and re visited the resort again last month! Had a wonderful time with friends enjoying the private beach and delicious food. Vinod took good care of us and serving us our requested dishes.rooms are very clean with a beautiful vibe.we also did a small trek to azhimala temple strolling along the beach.a good place to de stress and relax!

Out of the world location. U have a private beach all to yourself. If u want privacy then this is the place to be

The property itself is beautiful but the access to the resort is a nightmare.you have 2 options.one is to trek down through the nearby Niramaya resort.there are around 170 steps in total in this route.they are not easy steps.these are very hard to navigate for anyone.many of the steps don't have any safety railings to hold on to.impossible to bring luggage down as well.the other route is a good 10 -15 minute walk through very rough terrain again with many steep inclines on the way.there is no access to the beach that is right in front of the house.for me it defeats the whole purpose of a holiday if we cant get to the beach or have to navigate rough paths to get to the property

Had a lovely experience in the Karikathi beach resort.the rooms and service were amazing.simple and tasty food cooked according to our preferences.the beach was clean and private.perfect place to unwind and chill.the access is a bit difficult for elderly people but the trip was totally worth it.

Pros:
1) Amazing location on beach.
2) room is clean. If room not clean then you can request staff to clean it.
3) private beach. There is no connectivity to reach which makes this beach ️ private.

Cons
1) food is an issue. They have just 6 rooms and only 6 families can stay at max. So guests needs to order 2 hours before the lunch or dinner. Break is juat 1-2 options like idlyor dosa. And these people will try to avoid items if you tell that you want more than one dish to eat. Very very limited items at each meal.
So swiggy is the better option there.

2) they dint have direct entry or route to reach this location. So you need to walk for 10 minutes to walk down to this location. They will ask you to come to Niramaya resort and they will escort you till hotel. Its literally weird. Reaching till hotel is tiring. Car parking is also out of resort Niramaya.

3) you can't bath in the sea because the beach is steep and tides are strong. So you can just stand and watch the sea

4) charges are high. They expect you to pay in cash. And charges are more than eight thousand in peak season depends on how much you negotiate.

5) money wise its not worth. Better plan to stay near Kollam beach where beaches are smooth to bath.

6) they make pathetic Indian tea. So if you wish to have eat and food then you need to walk till resort Niramaya then take your car and search any hotels.

7) owner stays out station and 3-4 staff (cool+helper+manager+cleaner) runs this business.

8) No AC in the room.

Exceptional experience. The property manager Vinod made things very hassle-free experience. The property only lacks direct access but that can be overlooked.

Excellent stay, eventhough there is no proper roads to reach the property. To enjoy infinity Beach stay and private beach this is the best place to hang out. Stay is amazing no complaints in that. Will come again.

One of best scenic property, we can be very casual and at home.good vibe property. Calm and scenic. We can see fishing activity and take part in it too. Can have peaceful sunbath. If you want a laid back vacation, u surely should visit. Can use swimming pool, which Mr vinoth will refer the nearby property, walkable, will have pay usage charges minimal.cant park your car in the resort (which is good), but it's not a problem for this kind of scenic property.
Will surely visit again and again.

Should mention the hospitality of vinoth Nair and rajesh team, they took a good care of us. Good and yummy food served. Worth everything.

Costly and expensive for the cottage which is blocked and doesn't have proper route or food. In half price there are more and more better options at Kollam beach directly. This property is far from kollam beach ️

The rooms were very clean, the sheets and towels were all freshly laundered. The food was extremely delicious and good portion was served. The experience was way better than Niramaaya, only downside is the road to the resort is closed due to the Vizhinjam port construction and the alternative is a bit risky

There is no direct road to the resort. You have to come through another resort. After crossing the first resort, there is no road basically. You have to come through treacherous lands. At night, there is no light for the pathway. To reach the main entrance of the other resort you have to basically hike for 10-15 mins. All in all the accessibility is very poor. When it comes to food, there is no menu and whatever the resort people will cook you have to eat that and it was really bad. So I ordered from Swiggy (luckily they were delivering). However, in order to receive the order someone has to go to the main entrance, so we requested the resort people to send someone as there was no light and the pathway was dangerous. However, they refused saying the other resort people might not like it if we go amd get the delivery from their entrance. Which is ironical as these people don't have any entrance and they are relying on the other resort entrance for their guests to come and go. Overall, the experience was not upto the mark.

Everything from location, service, staff, food were exceptional. View from the room is amazing, access to private beach. We spent full time the property itself the whole 2 days as we did not feel like leaving the space. Would definitely recommend for people looking for secluded place. Communication has been excellent from Mr. Sajjad right from the time of booking and provided all necessary information. Special regards to Vinod ji and Rajesh ji for their hospitality.

Pros
Excellent location, awesome experience along the beach side. Wonderful caretaker.

Cons

1. Due to the port building activity there is no access route to this place. Currently they are using near by Niramaya resort to access this place. Which involves parking the vehicle in Niramaya and a looooongggg walk to the cottage involving a steep down stair climbing and a walk through a bushy (scary with kids) area. While going back it is very tedious climb up and during night hours there is no access and it is quite scary for any emergency situation.

2. They provide breakfast as complimentary (bread, omlet along with either idly or poori) ok ok taste. But for lunch and dinner we have to order in advance (atleast 1 hr or more) and they will arrange it from outside and other than that we can't ask for any small bites or snacks inbetween, which is not ok for our holiday mood.

3. Rooms are bit smelly but clean. The heater (work sometimes) and a/c doesn't work at all.
