This is a great place to buy traditional Kasavu handloom of Kerala. Mostly managed by ladies it also gives you a great example of empowered women in Kerala. Reasonable prices and good quality products. They also accept credit cards.
I bought this saree for 2000rs. Very worst quality. It's look like old cloth after 1 hand wash not even machine wash. Tourists pls don't take any dress from here. Quality is very very poor.
Visited here for onam saree on my trip. Their collection is too good and the price is moderate. They showed variety of sarees and Kurta. They explained how they prepare sarees. One of the best place if ur willing to buy kerala sarees on ur trip
It's a nice handloom store. You can see the looms at the entrance. They seem to have a good variety of the traditional Kasavu saree or Kerala saree in many forms. You can buy different types of sarees, dress materials, shirts and lungi materials. The prices are on the higher side.
We visited this place when our kids were inside dreamland adventure park. As they were gone be inside for 2 hours we went to kasavu Alayam. When you enter the place you see some workers working on handcrafting machines. When you go inside you can see a lots of colorful varieties of handcrafted sarees and dress material. Ranging from pure silk to cotton, with various patterns and prints on them. This is a heaven for women for sarees. Men can buy lungies here. We bought some lovely sarees here for my wife and mother. Great place to visit near Munnar.
The famous Kasavu sarees of Kerala can be bought here, but at no discounts. Still, we need to respect the hard work of artisans who have kept the cloth legacy of Kerala go on!
We visited this place to watch the weavers at work. You can watch them working the loom and creating beautiful kasavu sarees. They have an adjoining store where you can buy kasavu sarees, mundu, lungis, shirts, and kurtas that all made from cotton or silk using the looms.
