This is a wonderful place if you are looking forward to have a satisfying kerala style meals. We went here around 1.45 pm and the place was crowded, waited few minutes and got a space. We ordered there meals which cost around 175, and tasted like heavenly to me. We also ordered prawns Fry which was not up to the mark and karemeen Fry which was really good.
This place is a bit crowded hence they lack service efficiency but I feel it's still worth waiting. In the 175 rs meals, the fish fry and the kakka thoran was really superb. Fish fry size was medium.
This place do take cash via upi.
Strongly recommend.

A quaint place by the backwaters, it offers as rumptuous and sumptuousmeal facility, coupled with a boat ride. Apeaceful place for complete family enjoying a weekend. Must visit to enjoy the ambience and the scenary.

Just a hype. Overpriced and tasteless food. It’s just fooling around in the name of lake side. Stay away

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Kayaloram restaurant in Vakkom. The customer service was terrible - the staff was unprofessional, inattentive, and unaccommodating. It significantly marred what should have been an enjoyable meal. I would not recommend this restaurant due to the poor customer service I received.

Food was just ok, didn't get the wow feeling. Other than normal meal we ordered prawn fry & crab roast. Crab roast masala was good but didn't feel the freshness in crab.

I will not suggest anyone for this place as a must visit location, if any are going to the nearby place of vakkom then can have a try here.

Try to avoid to visit this place on holidays or weekends, too much delay will occur. Only limited staffs are there.

Wonderful place to have seafood meals. Coats around 175 for a single meal, but for me it is worth it. Meals had usual curries like parippu, pulissery, pachadi etc. The additional things include, fish fry, shrimp curry, kappa which we liked a lot, kakka thoran.
One thing which we did not like was fish fry, may be coz they used some lake fish. Other than that, everything was yummy. Got kappa and kakka thoran for 2nd time too.
Bought additional prawns fry and karimeen fry. Prawns was good, not a big fan of karimeen usually.
Service was very good.
Located on the side of Akathumuri Lake.

Property Adjacent to the backwaters offers you a gentle breeze and serene view while having your lunch.it's nice feeling to sit near the breezy waterfront n take a small knap post lunch.
About the food, its a 4 out of 5.it's a must try seafood lunch and every dish is tasty, especially bcoz all fish and prawns are fresh

Highlight: they got a small boat ride in which they will take us to small island nearby. A 150 years old temple is there in the island nd the ambience is very dark due to the densely grown big trees and bushes which is a must see experience. Boating charges rs 600 for 30 minutes for a group and it is worth to see

Cons: The dining area and table should be having little more furnished and cozy.service also to be improved.you don't get other recreational facilities to have fun apart from the 12 seater boating to island

Extremely overpriced, and not properly seasoned. It's just the hype. 170 per oone, 300 per plate of prawns and 200 per pearl spot (karimeen) and not at all seasoned. The only thing great is the atmosphere and the surroundings. The road leading to the hotel is also extremely bumpy. So overall not worth the effort.

Best home cooked seafood I have had. The owners are VERY WARM and accomadative. Place is very clean and sitting by the lake and having a meal.what more can one want.

It's a good place. We are not such sea food lovers. Hence cannot comment much. On the whole it's fine

For meals it is 175RS, which includes a fish fry, Kakka Irachi thoran, and theeyal curry.
For prawns, it was 300 but still a reasonable price.

Be cautious when paying money, ask the price and calculate by yourself.we had a bad experience, may be it's not done intentionally.

A wonderful lake side restaurant which serve Kerala fish curry meals on banana leaf. Mouth watering food, very economic, and wonderful ambience.

Best restaurant for having lunch if you are visiting vakkom. One can feel the breeze of kayal and have lunch.

The restaurant is set up beside the lake and the view is beautiful. The food was okay but expensive. The guy at the counter was sounding harsh, the lady staffs were all polite.

Attitude of the staff is very. Bad. Today i waited for 28 minutes for a parcel meal. Curry (sambar, Paripp, Moru curry are very less in quantity. Not enough for a person to eat. Owner representative in cash is not ready to give Bill. Ambience is Awesome. Food is satisfactory if we dine there only. But parcel service is horrible. Not recommend for take away.

A perfect example of food with a view.
This place serves the best Kerala thali in Varkala. Sitting along the side of back waters makes it even more beautiful experience.

This was not at all worth for single star also. Food taste was not good, and service also not good. Bad smell won't leave to eat food. Pls change ur plan if this have in list.
