Kerala Boatstay

Disappointed. The reservation process was good, but the crew on the boat was the most unpleasant we have experienced in all our trip to India. Yes, they probably did what they had to do, but not an inch beyond that and didn't give us the feeling that we are welcome. Felt like they just wanted to get done with the cruise. The sailing itself was very nice, the views are beautiful and the food was ok (not more than that). Overnight shore docking at some place which has nothing around it and you can't view and experience the lake from the boat.
Instead, I recommend to stay at a nice place with a river/lake front (for example Malayalam Lake Resort) and go for a day cruise or hire a Shikara for few hours/day to experience the backwater better.

Stayed here with my group of friends in August. The experience wasn't great as the rooms were quite small and not clean as well.

We had booked the house boat for day and night for 2 families. Ms. Jeena had helped us a lot for coordinating with the same.we seriously had a blast and kids as well as we adults enjoyed a lot.i personally want to thank, Kerala boatstay, Ms. Jeena and the boat staff for making our trip fantastic.

Boat stay was excellent. Ms Diya mam arranged nice boat stay trip and she gave excellent service. Boat three crew members are they gave dedicated service and provided tasty food.we enjoyed alot. Overall boat stay was amazing.

Rooms are very clean and sophisticated. Food is delicious. Service was good. Both Cook and boat driver are very friendly and helpful.

The service was okay (not exceptional). The food was too spicy, and every time we received dinner we didn’t even get all of the silverware. Also there was a strange smell in the washroom (otherwise generally clean). The faucet was also broken in the washroom (enough water wouldn’t come out). Finally we could not adjust the temperature of the air conditioning.

The boat was generally clean and the ride was pleasant.

Very bad experience, it names sacred river, they have covered only 8-10 kms maximum, totally they have reduced speed, sometimes they have switched of the engine also, simply sailed by waves, I didn't see anything in the waterways, simply waste, and also the cook was very rude

Rooms clean, location great. But staff are cheaters. They take you to costly fish shop and no alternative. We had to fight for regular priced fish shop but they didnt stop anywhere, even though we crossed many other shops. Finally they stopped at night rest destination and told us to go buy if we want. We had to hire moterboat to buy fish and ingredients.

Boat was neat and clean, the staff was very helpful and had a good service mentality.the food was very tasty and Homely.
Ms Riya was very much kind enough in enquiring about the service from the boat Staff and was spontaneously interfering for every query. Thank you all the team members for offering us a wonderful and memorable Holiday trip.

Houseboat experience is entirely different from all others.food is superb. Interesting place to visit again, we had a great time Cruising through the backwaters of alleppy, you will love it

Bed rooms are stinking with diesel and can’t sleep inside though booked deluxe. Get prepared to sleep on outside deck with flyies.

A big NO for opting this. Very very bad experience. Boat manager didnt let the boat start until full payment is done, later understood why he took everything before itself as there were so many issues with crew, boat and halt. We had to board 2hr late due to rain, though we requested to be in water for some more time and the boat people didn't accept we felt ok but they stopped 20min before the promised time for the night halt place. It's mentioned night halt would be at an island, we felt some nice place it will stop and we can enjoy nature but it was a too horrible place, a very small village where water was smelling very bad, it's too dirty water, seems like the years back stagnated flood water where local ppl there were washing clothes, threw all waste etc. Due to that water too many mosquitoes were there all over the boat where we could not come out of bedroom, even too many lizards all over in the boat. Coming to boat, i booked 3bhk boat, look is good but flush in 1 washroom didn't work at all and neither workers there, manager of boat, Kerala boatstay ppl helped us in getting it repaired, they didn't respond at all properly and none took our concern, whole stay we stayed the same way. For another washroom bathroom door is not proper, its almost broken and It can't be used for family.
The crew didn't support properly throughout the journey, though they understand English/Hindi they responded only for few things which was beneficial for them, and didn't respond at all for other issues we faced in boat and for unloading our luggage. Manager of the boat was so money minded, till he got money he spoke nicely but after that no support and rude. No hot water in taps. Overall please don't opt for this service, mere waste of money we as family felt. If you want boat experience just go for morning ride alone rather than whole day and night

It's a real pleasure to opt for this boat house, we had a delightful day. Rooms were neat and clean. We were served with a juice. Evening when we were indulged in the mesmerizing beauty of the backwaters, we were served with a cup of tea n pakoda.

It was an awesome experience which made possible by Kerala Boat stay, their professional dealings made my experience hassle free because intially it was really confusing when I started looking for house boating options and pricing was vague not sure if choose an option I will get enough bedrooms. I am more than happy Kerala Boat stay staff Riya helped with the whole process right from booking till the day we started our house boat journey. All comms were through whats app chats so you have a record of all the details of your booking, date of journey including the menu. Altogether it was a hassle free experience so if you're somebody who has no idea regarding the options and pricing this company is highly recommended from my personal experience.
