Keraleeyam at Raviz Kadavu

Mediocre level of food and service, undercooked chicken wings in buffet and I raised a concern regarding the same, chef apologized me for the mistake and freebies offered, pearl spot fry and flat Parathas for the same, no appetizers, bland and tasteless salads, no fish options, staff members are elusive and i better known probably because of language barrier, a few varieties of Kerala snacks and pastry options are available exactly unremarkable level of taste and presentation. Overall a disappointing experience;

I like that place, on the banks of the Chaliyar river, the scenic beauty is nowhere found. You can have a unique experience.

The buffet had a lot on offer but since it was a Saturday night, it was very crowded and noisy. Food was splattered around the serving vessels so not great presentation. Taste wise it was nice and especially the salad and dessert section had some interesting things on offer like the tender coconut panna cotta

I have been to this place few times for my cousins marraige, parents wedding anniversary and so on.
I have tried their lunch and dinner buffet.
The spread is really good. They had items like mutton biryani, travancore fish, traditional chicken fry, 2 varieties of soup, kappa, mathi curry, varieties of salad, number of deserts.

Mutton Biryani was excellent. Mutton is so tender and flavour was so good.
Chicken fry I tried with few dips was tasty.
Fish curry is something which they can improve on, not upto calicut standards.
Have to mention the deserts like gajjar ka halwa, rasmalai, chocolate pannakota, cheese cake.
They also had live counter for appam and stew.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to sit and eat with family, I would totally recommend this place though it's little expensive.
The ambience is really good.

The location and ambience is nice here. We had drinks here which was fine. However the service could be better as we had to wait very long for any one to help us out with our needs.

We tried buffet dinner in this resort.

Dinner will start at 7.00 pm.

Different types of food is available.

Jilebi, pasta, North Indian chats, appam etc has live counter

Per head - 999 + 18% tax. It's worth trying

Today was my birthday, a surprise birthday party was arranged for me by my husband. Everything was well arranged by Mr. Bijilraj. The cake was really yummy and good, followed by a very delicious buffet served with very good hospitality. Thank you all for making my day a very special one. ️.

The service was pooor
But the food was good
(We waited for 15 minutes for the staffs to come and take order for starters… once the order was given to a staff…. We waited for 40 minutes and another person came and retook the starters order saying that the previous guy FORGOT the order… how insulted we were! Then some other manager came and then after that everything Was fine

Definetly not worth the price. There are many better restaurants in town. They have a full bar which is a plus.

Went for a lunch with the family yesterday and the experience was horrible. It was a long wait for food and it didn’t arrive together. Some dishes arrived when half of us finished our meal. The restaurant interior is dated, vegetarian dishes were pathetic. Don’t waste your money here. Staff needs training, otherwise you’re going to lose customers.

Great place and top notch service and ambience and a picturesque river side view.
The food was just as other five star restaurants and so were the prices.

The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety to choose from and a daily special menu for live cooking by chef. The morning tea and coffee is prepared live in traditional utensils.

Amazing place and a must visit while staying at The Raviz Kadavu.

When expectations are never met.and not at all worth the hype (atleast for the food they serve)

We went for dinner on 5th july and the food experience was really bad. To start off with, we ordered Oven baked tomato soup which was a feast to the pallets inside our mouth, fresh and very tasty. We dint order order any starters and went straight to the main course. Butter naan, Roti, Murgh Malai and Dal Makhani was ordered. We really had to wait for a while.and they served everything approx 45 mins post order. Murgh Malai was the worst among the rest. It was too salty, the pure malai flavour was absent, too much greasy etc. We did complain the situation to our waitress but her reply made us annoyed. She said that murgh Malai best compliments with rice and you should have ordered rice. Oh come on, the chef should have prepared the dish the way it should compliment with the bread that we have ordered. Dal makhani was also salty, you it lacked that essence and life. Butter naan was too bland and was rigid in nature. These were damn expensive and they failed to keep up with taste and flavor of food that is available at moderately expensive restaurants that I frequently visit. Not at all worthy. Atleast the restaurant. Keeping all these apart the ambience was good (we sat outdoor), service was okay (except her reply). I personally don't recommend the restaurant for its food. And I'll never forget this as it was my birthday lol

The best fish fries u can find. Veriety. I had shark and was absolutely fantastic. Small place. Parking available. Bit pricy but okay for the taste.

Raviz Kadavu just rocks with its exquisite ambience, nestled along the shores of serene Chaliyar River. Enjoy an evening stroll worth a special place in your reminiscence in this wonderfully well maintained property.

Had been to Keraleeyam restaurant for Iftaar buffet with my wife. When we called up and enquired for the Iftar buffet we were told it’s 599+ tax per person. After we had iftar we were given a bill of 3304/- for 2 persons. When we clarified we were told 599 is for cut fruits and snacks and buffet is charged separately. But when we had called up and enquired we were clearly told 599 + tax for the “Iftar Buffet”. The restaurant staff didn’t have a proper clarification. They were telling us they would compensate in our next visit. If they were gonna charge extra for the buffet then it shouldn’t be called iftar buffet for 599. Such a bad experience.

Restaurant ambience is very good and food also tasty it could be better if there more items on starters and provide more kerala traditional dishes.

Me and my family went for Buffet lunch at Keraleeyam restaurant Raviz Kadavu. This was our first visit to Raviz and I never expected such a disastrous experience from a 5 star resort restaurant! Its understaffed, the food was not at all upto the mark, and to my surprise there is no refilling of food if it is about to get over.thats there policy i guess, if it is over then done, you will not get it again! We had to ask for the water otherwise no water, Okay.we ordered Chappathi, the staff took the order but never came back with it! We searched for Welcome drinks.its over they said! We wanted some Fish Curry but we got fish skeleton and no fish! We searched for Dessert and the only dessert left was a plum cake and one extremely sweet pastry! We went to salad counter and i felt sad for that remaining stale looking veggies: (! I took some pineapple cuts from fruits platter, i dont know who plucked it before it got ripe and pls note this is before 2: 30PM, the buffet is till 1500hrs.

And another big surprise after all this.the bill- more than ₹8K.
We don’t have the courage to visit Raviz again.if a guest experience this they will not come back same as above refilling policy.

Anyway we spent more that 8K (More than the room rates there) and wanted to see the backwaters and the property but security stopped us from seeing it, only for the residents he said…wow! I know hospitality industry and how it works but this was too much! I hope some officials finds this.

We went for the buffet lunch at Keraleeyam. It was worst experience, in both food and service. Buffet was way too costly considering the dishes. Place is severely understaffed and any order you placed will never come. The Buffet was supposed to be till 3.00pm but most of the dishes were over even before 2.00pm and never got refilled.

Food at the buffet was not good, totally not worth the ₹1,000 (+GST) price tag per head. May have been good at one point, but are now just cutting costs and maintaining the same prices.

Great place for an outing and price is also negotiable. But not much variety of food for buffet

An ikonic hotel situated in the begining of Calicut by-pass road. Ravis Kadavu has been a standard for star hotels for years, considering its location, infrastructure and facilities. Keraleeyam the multicuisine restaurant, they provide, is impressive even though it feels congested. They provide buffet service for lunch and dinner which is very reasonable. Service is so good from the staffs. There is enough parking space and a bar on the top of the restaurant but entrance through different door. It offers an open dining space protected by net facing the lake and the beautiful view. Food is delicious and there is a vocalist and some orchestra performing some good Gazel songs which is a different experience.

My Family and I visited this Restaurant in January. The ambience is very nice and the food was superlative. The service is of a very high order.

Amazing property.super deluxe rooms and sea food is crazy with an awesome lake view from the room. Property is huge to explore within. Service and staff is good as expectations. To find a peace within a best property to chill. To do a room party best property with view. Highly recommended to all.

Excellent staff and service. My husband was craving a local speciality (pazham nirachathu) which is not on The Raviz menu but the Keraleeyam staff insisted we stay for tea and the chef went all out to make the dish he requested. Thank you very much and our compliments to the chef! Will come back definitely.

Had a wonderful stay at kadavu for a day. Excellent stay with delicious food served. I recommend as one of the best hotels in kozhikode/kerala, especially with family and friends.

One of the best place visited.good hospitality.no doubt to reccommend for outing.pleasant atmosphere.
