Kgees- Hill Town Hotel

Excellent experience staying at Kgees Hill Town hotel. Room is very spacious. Breakfast and Dinner at the restaurant was really good. Centrally located and they have good car parking too. I enjoyed the overall stay experience.

Many of film stars and film industry people used to stay here, while Film shooting happening in Idukki.
Staff is very co operative and services are excellent.

Over all Good. Room service also was very good. Recommend this hotel at Kattappana, if you plan your stay at Kattappana Town. Only change i observed is buffet breakfast is not there. When I asked they told me that when the season comes they will be serving beffet. When the occupancy is less it's served Ala Carta

A very much high rated hotel with very rigid rules. The staffs are not at all customer friendly.complementary breaksfast is not a buffet system.it a la carte and we can consume only certain food by this.charge too much for extra pax and they even argue to book another room even if a baby child is extra.how can we leave them alone? Totally disappointed with our stay.completely ruined our mood. 0 stars for customer service.

Paneer butter masala Gobi Manchurian and fried rice is what I got for dinner. Does justice.

The porayta is below average, You can see they served burned ones.

Mutton curry was good. But the chivken Cutlet was hard and sweetish.

The best option in Kattappana for all food lovers and travellers, We loved this place. The interiors and the whole ambience was beautiful. The service rendered was very good. We had the chicken biriyani and meals and both were amazing.

One of the worst experience we had in a hotel. These people looted us and charged for a whole extra day for 15 mins delay in check out.

This is a cool restaurant at Kattappana. The ambiance is pretty cool and awesome. The service too is fine. You won't find it a crowded place. I have never seen not more than 6-7persons there unless you are not going there for a party. The thing is you will find an answer from them "No sir sorry, we don't have that" when you find some items from their long menu, after having spent a lot of time to choose.

Excellent rooms, spacious, clean, well furnished. Bath is slightly small but clean. The staff are well behaved and very helpful. Restaurant is clean with good ambience. Food is loaded in favour of non_veg, with the usual kerala vegetarian items missing.

The Hilltown hotel is a good location if you are exploring the Idukki area with a car & driver.
The hotel is modern, stylish & spotlessly clean & the staff are all great. The rooms are huge; we booked a single & a double & both had double beds tables & chairs (see photos). Although air con is extra, there appear to be no flies here, so keeping the windows open is a nicer option anyway.
The restaurant looks bland, but the food is really good; we found that not everything is available on the menu each day, but they do "specials" too. Most importantly everything we had was delicious.
The town it is situated in is not that interesting, in fact it is quite full apart from a fresh produce market, but assuming you are going out each day by car to reach the Nature Reserves etc, it is fine.
There are also lots of small supermarkets etc situated nearby, so you can pick up what you need.
The only thing I would improve would be to have a fridge, but for around R1300 for a single & R2500 inc.for a double, it was a bargain & would highly recommend.

Best breakfast i had in my entire journey. We have tried uttappam, puri, masala dosa, set dosa, ghee roast dosa. Best among them was masala dosa. Couldn't resist after having one and ordered for the entire family. There was cradle in the restaurant in which i could place my daughter and could enjoy food.

Hill Town Hotel is the most recommended place to stay in Kattapana. Great accessibility. Large parking space. Clean and neat rooms. Good Hospitality. Overall, an amazing place for a night spend.

Fantastic ambiance and nicely built hotel. However, food quality was not up-to the mark. Spoiled fried rice served and when mentioned it to staff, we were told it is the smell of vegetables in the rice, with not even an apology for the severe mistake from their side.

Well furnished and well maintained rooms and washrooms. Excellent hospitality and efficient front office. Highy recommended.

Nice spacious clean rooms. The restaurant served Kerala delicacies for lunch. There was a decent spread for breakfast too.

Worst, completely waste of money. We ordered chicken roast it smells bad and food was non hygenic.
If we cancel the order they will not do so and forced us to eat.

Neat and clean rooms, spacious too. House keeping and front office gets 95 marks out of 100! Food was good too. But sorry to say that the arrogant attitude of the restaurant-in charge and room service was a little botheration for us during our stay recently.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside. But the service is good. Rooms are large and clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Washroom is clean. Great views if you don’t take the road facing rooms. Complimentary breakfast provided.

I HAVE STAYED THERE FOR 2 DAY I WAS VERY NICE MANAGEMENT AND FOOD WAS GOOD VIEW FROM MY ROOM WAS VERY AESTHETIC ALL OVER I WANT TO SAY TO ALL GAYS AND COPULAS TAKE A RIDE AND STAY IN THIS HOTEL HILL TOWN.

Wonderful hotel in Kattappana, I booked a deluxe room for my office guests, that was awesome experience. The restaurant in side the hotel was superb! Good ambiance with nice staffs and best service. Restaurant is good for quality and the rooms as well.
