I travelled today on the Kochi Metro from Pettah to TownHall and back. The trains have been well maintained. Unfortunately the wash rooms are not being kept clean properly. One more suggestion is to have waste paper bins placed at various points inside the station as I couldn’t find any in both stations

Kochi metro is so convenient and was really helpful for travelling in the kochi City and it's faster also which is good and no traffic problem also. They got some offers too. And they also provide single day passes which can be used throughout the day by paying only once in the time of purchase after buying a pass, they can travel with it any time in the day. Pass is valid only for 1 day

It was convieniant and good experiance. The station was neat and tidy.its easy to take tickets. The security checkings were taken before entering to the waiting space for metro. Easy and convienient travelling through metro.

Very well maintained and organised. It doesn't run at high speeds like in other places. We don't have to wait for hours for getting metro, it is running at every 12 or 15 mins interval. Not sure about timings. It covers 26 kms from aluva to petta, but there is 22 stations in between them. I felt prices are little high. Stations will be extended in future. It connects Lulu mall at idapally via corridor, that's brilliant. Overall good experience.

Awesome experience. Fastest mode of transportation within the Ernakulam city. Neat and very well maintained stations adds its beauty. Metro trains are also comfortable and neat for travelling along the busy town. It really help us to reach our destination on time compared to the busy roads.

Technology wise its a revolution in Kerala. Low ticket rates, easy travel. Metro train is so clean and helpful.

For those travelers who would like to explore how Indian railways work, railway station is an ideal one to check out. The station is housed in a British era building. Despite the crowd is well maintained and is clean.

In case if some one just wants to check out the place do buy a platform ticket to visit as in India without platform tickets one can't enter the railway station. There is no need to buy the platform tickets if one is traveling by a train starting from there.

Very efficient, comfortable and quick way to travel. Easily depend on Kochi Metro for travel from Thykoodam to Aluva. The line will be extended upto Tripunithura shortly. Smooth way to travel.

Pros: Fast to the destination, time saving and easy access.
Cons: AC sometimes won't work, door closes quickly for old people.
Overall Ok but compared to chennai / mumbai local trains this is nothing.

I didn't have more experience in traveling with kochi metro. But as of my limited day experience it was really really good. The staff at Kochi metro is friendly and helpful. If you are planning to travel daily. Then you can buy Kochi metro card (Don't know the exact name). It will be useful and A lot of time saving method too. You can get the card very easily from any stations of Kochi metro. App is provided by them in app store as well as play store. So you can reacharge the card for future use. About the discount and stuff related to that card u can Simply ask them. In my opinion if you are planning to buy Kochi metro card try to get it from other small stations. The Reason why iam saying is that main stations are crowdy sometimes. So find small stations for Ur convenience. Wish u all a happy and safe journey.

Evergreen metro.you can avail daily pass of 125 INR, Which can be used throughout a day for roaming.weekend passes available at 250 INR for Saturday and Sunday.

One of the important milestone in kerala's development. Kochi metro is beautiful to see during night. I traveled to kochi international stadium in metro only during isl match.

Excellent experience! Feels like I'm in some part of Asia eg Singapore or Hong Kong. Fast and efficient travel to stations, frequent services, stations and trains are clean and well kept, very access-friendly for all ages and prices are good. Well done KMRL team.

The Kochi metro project is the first metro in the country which connects rail, road and water transportfacilities.  The first phase is being set up at an estimated cost of ₹51.81 billion (US$750 million).
 On October 2017, Kochi Metro was named the Best Urban Mobility Project in India by the Urban Development Ministry, as part of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) international conference hosted by the ministry every year.

Then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for the Kochi Metro rail project in 2012, construction work was started in June 2013 and a 13.4 km (8.3 mi) section of the line from Aluva to Palarivattomwas opened to passengers on 17 June 2017 by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.  A second 5 km (3.1 mi) section from Palarivattom to Maharaja's College Stadiumwas inaugurated on October 3,2017.
 Kochi metro also includes the technology for driverless trains and is hoping to implement this in the near future.

Kochi Metro was lauded for its decision to employ Kudumbashree workers and also members of the transgender community. It is the world’s first rapid transit system whose entire management operations are handled by women.  The system is also involved in sustainable initiatives with the introduction of non-motorized transport corridors in the city, installation of solar panels for power and vertical garden on every sixth metro pillar. Apart from the regular tickets, it has also adopted a single card, single timetable and a singular command and control. This debit card along with the Kochi One Mobile App will allow passengers to access all modes of public transportation as well as be utilized for mercantile and internet transactions and will introduce the 'click and collect' feature in the near future where goods ordered online can be collected in the metro stations.

It's always a great experience travelling in metro. Today also I traveled in metro. Fantastic experience.

The kochi metro rail has swept me of my feet. The cleanliness is amazing. The way they keep the stations and the metros are spotless. In summers it's a great alternative to ride the metro than taking any other means of transport. The service provided by them is on par with other metro experience and it even surpasses some other metro experience. I would suggest anyone to ride at least once in their lifetime. And you would get to see some amazing views of kochi if you travel from Alwaye to Maharajas College ground.
