Superb cruise experience for sunset in kochi with my family on 2nd june 2023.double deck with air conditioner facilities also in ground deck.upper deck with open view and all the entertainment show like music, dance, singing, etc.the duration of 2 hrs was just passed by in full enjoyment.it was beyond expectation while booking was made online and having some kind of apprehension being a govt operated services.excellent value for money and time spent.one must visit this cruise if travelling to kochi.only requirement to improve the tea and snacks provided during the journey.
Two hours sea cruise with onboard entertainment's, Tea snacks. On Weekends and holdays ticket fare is higher compared to other days. You can book online also. There are three sea going cruise. Among them Michalle the green one is superb. It's the fastest cruise in Kochi. It have better safety features compared to sagararani. Powered by two Volvo engine.
Good experience to travel in cruise through arabian sea.with joyful programs.it's rate is affordable for a normal peoples.they will provide snacks.and variety of cultural programs are conducted.it's ideal place to travel in evening with friends and family.sagar rani run's under government sector.you can reserve ticket through phone or books from their office situated in marine drive cochi.
Sagara rani, is a boat cruise service under National inland navigation corporation. Boat is average. Air conditioned ground floor with open deck. Early booking is recommended they will fill soon in season times. Cruise starts at 5: 30 evening sharp and return at 7: 30 pm. Good entertainment for 2 hours with high tea and musical, visual, natural refreshments. Enjoyed the journey very much. They will go to the sea and if lucky enough, we can see dolphins jumping off the estuary.
I really loved the experience on Sagara Rani. The views were very delightful and I enjoyed it a lot. The tour guides were very nice and friendly, music artists from Kalabhavan Group who sang great songs and made us dance. The guide explained everything clearly and perfectly and made the time worth it. On the way you can even see dolphins jumping as well. Overall it's awesome.
Its a small cruise like a boat.culture programs during the ride. The MC describes all the places and the historical details through out the ride. Only problem was everything was in malayalam.we could watch sunset. Also we Could spot Dolphins once boat enters sea.
The sun set cruise in Sagara Rani is a good experience. You get to see the sunset on clear days especially between Jan to March. The tickets are available online also. The boat is owned by Kerala State Inland Navigation Corporation.
Very poor customer service by the operator of Sagar Rani boats. Typical govt agency attitude. They could do so much better if they learnt to be polite when conversing
Worth a try. Could spot Dolpins once boat enters sea. Lower deck is air conditioned and you can spend peaceful time far away from the crowd (upper deck).
Three star is only for the view one gets to see from the cruise. Travelled with family in the sunset cruise.
Have a suggestion for the crew, Firstly, the crew needs to understand that kerela is an international tourist attraction. Apart from the local crowd there are people from other parts of india and abroad also on the crowd, towards whom they dont show any interest. So they should learn to address everyone on board. Throughout the trip they were speaking in Malayalam, which obviously we could not understand. The guide was showing view points on the way, which we couldn't understand. Even after requesting twice, he constantly spoke in local language, No English No Hindi. Music and dance were happening but that too in local language.
One suggestion, please respect the interest which People from other parts of india show in visiting kerela. Leaving kerela with a real bad impress of the people here.
We went on 31st evening 5.30 trip. Ticket charged was Rs. 350 for adults, ticket cost includes tea andn snacks. Journey is for 2 hours. The ride will take you through Marine drive, Menaka, Subash Bose park, Shipyard, Naval Base, Willington Island, Mattancherry, Sea mouth and then in to through Sea for for 45 minutes, return through goshree islanads and Bolgatty. Trip over by 7.30. There is live band on board and these guys are nice. We danced enjoyed and was memorable trip. We saw dolphin's as well that was quite awesome.
On29th December evening we had a beautiful ride in sagararani kochi (sunset cruise). We saw 3 dolphins very near to boat, that was really surprising. KSINC provides tea and snacks for passengers in evening, that was very good. The boat is safe for kids and elderly people also. Only problem is with glass windows of conference hall, that is not clear and clean. That causes poor visibility.
Enjoyable trip for groups to view kochi from backwaters. Trip charges including snacks is ₹400 for adults and ₹250 for children aged 5-12. Trip forwards to sea to around 2 km. Total hours spent is about 2hrs. Entertains with DJ and other dance or musical programs. Prior booking over phone is required for seat confirmation. Worthy for those who are new to Kochi. Toilet facility is available in passenger terminal and in boat. Parking slot is not available near passenger terminal. Nearest parking slot is at Marine drive pay and park.
Two times I traveled on it. They did not travel in the sea two times. They went around the back of the lake and came back. There are three types of packages. Breakfast, lunch and sunset cruise. I think the sunset will be beautiful. There is food with all the packages. However, it was a good experience. I enjoyed the best way.
