I had the pineapple jamroll which was talked alot in the comment section. But it was too sweet. The jam was too sweet and the cake was soft.

I tried their strawberry and pineapple jam rolls. Both are so delicious and they serve these with lots of love.

Jam rolls were too sweet and a bit hard. Expensive for the quality they provide. Tried the hummingbird cake and it was good.

I recently had the opportunity to try out "Kunju's Jam Rolls" in Thrikakkara, and it turned out to be a mixed experience for me. Let me break it down for you.

When I arrived at the bakery, the first thing that caught my attention was the name itself, "Jam Rolls. " Naturally, I was eager to taste their signature offering, the jam roll. The friendly staff offered me some jam samples to try before I made my decision. However, I must admit that the jam roll didn't quite meet my expectations. It was not to my liking as the sweetness of the jam overpowered the taste of the bread, and I prefer a more balanced flavor profile in my pastries.

However, the disappointment with the jam roll was quickly forgotten when I decided to explore their other offerings. I decided to give their "Bolo de Coco" and "Lemon paste Cakes" a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. The "Bolo de Coco, " a coconut cake, had a delightful texture and was bursting with coconut flavor and cream. Even though I'm not a fan of coconut, I found myself enjoying every bite of this cake. It was moist, not overly sweet, and had just the right amount of coconut essence to make it appealing even to someone who doesn't usually like coconut.
Similarly, the "Lemon Cake" was a refreshing treat.

One thing that stood out during my visit was the bakery's warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was courteous and accommodating, providing excellent customer service.

I always enjoyed eating kunju's jam roll. It is really tasty and filled with lots of strawberry jam and very fresh. People who love sweet and tasty strawberry jam roll please try with kunju's.

Simply Good. After hearing really nice reviews about the entity, we bought Pineapple as well as Strawberry Jamrolls, and I must say they are certainly worth the good reviews you find in the web. Cordial and nice front office personnel. Wishing them the best. Will definitely buy again.

Sorry, I am not getting what is there to brag about in these jam rolls!
Isn't it too sweet? The sponge part is less and jam is too much. Might be you guys need to sell Jams alone.
To confess the actual reason for this dislike and disgust, my wife got runs previously having it from their infopark outlet. And this time, I got dysentery. I am not at all happy with the products. But I have to say the sales guys are very well behaved. Not sure if the other reviews are from the owners friends. 2 stars go to the ambience and sales. 0 for the product!

One sweet destination for the most delicious pineapple jamrolls in the city. Their matured plum cakes are the best in the town. The place has a homely old world charm about it. Highly recommended.

It's a good shop which has more varieties of jam rolls and other cake items at reasonable prices. Compared to their main shop which started early on and have only one kind of jam rolls, since this shop is in the city more variants of products are available. Customer satisfaction is their main thing. They see to make us understand what all are the varieties and are free to provide us with samples too. Good customer service. The products are of good quality and taste. It's customizable according to our needs for some products. It's a small shop but the quality is not compromised. It's near the Mavelipuram signal. Parking space is available. Good shop in total.

Extremely polite attitude from the salesman. Tried pineapple jamroll. Super tasty and felt different. They have limited food varieties but all are good.

Had a bowl of their premium cake, forgot the name,
costs around Rs150 (as per today) and 5 stars for a beautiful presentation of the items there.

The service is nice. They even offer you free samples to taste through (so you might know how confident they will be with their Jam rolls).
The best thing to try would be Strawberry jam roll. They are worth drooling.
Overall it's a small store, usually take way is the best option here

Cannot compare with the Jamroll from the Kunju's bakery in Kanjirappilly, where the taste was soo good and cheaper.

The place is very small, cosy and cute but the pastries are overrated to say the least.
We tried hummingbird cake (nothing special, it felt like a banana cake with a frozen cream top layer) and Strawberry jamroll (they've used the original strawberry as the filling but nothing to say more than that.)

In short over-hyped over priced products.

Shop with a cute look and good Ambience. However kind of felt like the jam rolls are slightly overrated. Biggest down I felt is that cakes are kept at the room temperature which have a full blown AC. Making the cake very cold and dry. Please change this if possible

Quality jam rolls. No small quantity is available to buy. The minimum is 250gm which cost around 300rs. Bit expensive one. But worth a try. One can't finish it alone.

With huge expectations I had ordered online the most sought strawberry and pineapple jam roll. I was very disappointed. The cake texture was dry and the jam filling was overly sweet. The strawberries were very dry. Not something I would go back to again.

The jam rolls were good (very very sweet) Liked both the pineapple and strawberry rolls. The owner was giving away samples of Lemon paste cake and its taste was ok.

Location is spot on gmaps, in a not so busy area with easy parking on the road sides.

Absolutely finger licking good jam rolls. The shop is tucked in a side lane, so parking is not a problem. The owner is a wonderful person and if you have time, he is always happy to engage you in chit chat.

Hands down the best ever jam rolls in the city! ️ Jayan chettan has amazing passion and zest for what he does and it reflects in the dishes that the bakery offers. A very lip smacking experience. It's a must visit. They also have home delivery system across the city.

There are plenty other types of cakes as well. We could order cakes for any type functions. They will get it delivered for you.

If you love Jamrolls or you have a sweet cravings this is the best place in Kakkanad. The Jamrolls give you a nostalgic feeling if you are a 90’s or 80’s kids. The Jamrolls are always the best and they also have cupcakes and other cakes. It’s a small shop and have sitting area for around 8 people. You can park near the shop if you are coming by car.

Kunjus Jam Rolls are a legacy delicacy. Back from 1931 they make awesome jamrolls strawberry and pineapple flavoured. There is pieces of processed strawberry and pineapple in each bite. They are make other products like cookies few variants of pastries and sort. But one should try the jamrolls

"The Best destination for Jam Rolls in the city! ".

As the name says Kunjus Jam rolls are well known for their toothsome pineapple and strawberry jam rolls. This place is located at Seaport-Airport road but it is not easily traceable as it is not located on the main road. It is located on of the service roads situated at the top and gives you a calm and quite ambiance for dine in with friends and loved ones. The legacy of Kunjus jam rolls dates back to 1931 and has got more than 85 years of fruitful experience in the bakery field. The main baking unit is headquartered at Kanjirapally and it handles the production section whereas the one at Kakkanad caters to the needs of city's requirements

The place looks clean and well maintained and the walls are of brick tile setup and looks like an old house converted to a bakery unit with seating arrangements placed infront of entrance where you can relax and have your desserts peacefully. While stepping inside you can see a caricature of their founder KK Kunju pasted on one side of their walls.

In addition to jam rolls, the bakery also houses cakes, snacks, biscuits, chips, and pastries. Service was good. Staff was very courteous and attentive.

We came here for the first time despite staying in Kochi for around 5 years I was completely unaware of this place and couldn't make use of it fruitfully during those times. We opted for Pineapple Jam rolls, Strawberry jam rolls, Vanilla paste cake and 3 pieces of Dates flavored pastry. All were scrumptious and we liked the pineapple jam roll much more. I would personally recommend everyone to try their pineapple jam roll as it was very luscious. It is certainly a good spot in Kakkanad area to take your friends / GF/BF for a quick bite.

Tried pineapple Jam roll. It was really good. They have strawberry jam rolls, different variety cookies, chocolate brownie etc. Shop is small inside, but they had provided seating arrangement outside. Neat, clean and well maintained shop.

Got to experience a worldclass heritage bakery in Kakanadu with specialty products such as strawberry jam rolls and Portuguese cupcakes.would definitely recommend to all people who love to eat high quality bakery products

This is a lovely authentic bakery with delicious, amazing, high quality baking and products. You can taste the quality in the first bite, so worth the reasonable prices! My only fear is I will end up wanting to go daily!

This is the right place for Jamrolls and cakes. Jamrolls contain real fruits and is authentic in taste. Flavors include Strawberry, Pineapple etc.

This place is really good and has nice variety of bread. We got a Bolo de Coco and it was great. The shopkeeper was a really friendly man and spoke to us about the history and the making of the cake. Would definitely recommend this place if you need a different type of cake for birthdays.

Over priced cookies and cakes. On the top worst taste I have ever experienced. Coconut cake is dry and the chocolate brownie is hard as a rusk.
