Lake Canopy

Wifi is non existent. Our room door was not getting locked properly.once we came back to the room only to see that the door was open. Its quite far from the market or other restaurants. The in house restaurant only manages to make decent south Indian food.take any other cuisine at your own risk. The worst part is they charged rs 300 for an old plastic cheap quality key card which my son broke accidentally.

The resort is a perfect place to unwind and relax in nature’s lap. The staff was friendly and helpful, making my stay even more memorable- special mention to Mr. Baiju from the front desk and restaurant staff- Mr. Sanu, Mr. Parrish, Jiju etc. I would highly recommend Lake Canopy to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in Alleppey. Everything there is perfect!

A very wonderful stay, especially for families, everything you want is available in this resort for free, rowing boats, a good-sized swimming pool, bicycles with different provisions, entertainment places, and a river inside the resort that adds beauty

The rooms are tidy, clean, spacious, and there is an outdoor session in the evening with a simple tea party.

Absolutely wonderful resort, offering one of the best experiences you can get in Alleppey. Wonderful rooms with abundant space and even a private swimming pool (depends on the room type booked). Beautiful decoration of common areas, halls etc. Cycles are always available to be used in the stunning open area of the resort. Moreover, the taste of the food was also good.

Booked Pvt pool villa @Lake Canopy, Allepy for the weekend (Oct2-3 2021) and it turned out to be a DISASTER. On entering the villa we experienced a little suffocation due to the chlorine smell from the indoor pool. And when we entered the pool within 2mins itself myself and family started sneezing and coughing. Front office staff came and told to keep the windows open for some time. After again complaining, few hours later they drained some water and pumped new water. But felt nothing was done properly to control the chlorine effect. So beware before you opt for a closed indoor private pool. More chances that you have to keep the windows open and make it public and also more chance of you and family getting unwell

Note: Nearest medical shop was 3-4kms away. Had to go out of the resort at 10pm to get medicine for my severe sneezing and fever and severe coughing for my kids. The whole night we had to keep the windows and balcony doors opened to get some fresh air.

In addition there was a big spider also in the room which was running here and there and which hid underneath our bed. Staff came and checked and couldn't find it.

Never in a trip i had to call front office or resort staff these many times for getting something fixed. Overall the room was not well maintained/supervised before check-in which lead to a completely horrrible stay for us. It was such a bad experience when you pay a huge amount for the premium room in the resort

Tip: if looking for private pool villas near Allepy, try for open pools and not indoor ones. Indoor ones can turn out to be hazardous like how my family experienced. There are lot of such villas in Kumarakom also which is near Allepy

We stayed in the villa with jacuzzi. It was an awesome experience. The food was exotic with great service. The behaviour of all the staff was absolutely wonderful

We had a great experience in Lake canopy.plenty of area to roam about.kids friendly place.both indoor and outdoor game faciltities available.swimming pool is safe.we mostly had food in our rooms due to covid.breakfast buffet was average. Well behaved staff and good services. Totally happy with the stay

A hidden gem in Allepy district, Relaxing and calm resort, we were really surprised to see its beauty once we arrived there it's so natural feeling with the cool breeze from Vembanad lake. A must-visit place. 1hr drive from Kottayam. Even the villa rooms are so spacious and open to the lawn for kids to play. Try the pool villa also, nice and tasty food, great service and staff too. We have even asked the marketing staff to change the photos on the site to natural ones. It's a hidden gem.

The most wonderful vacation we have ever had. It was a very quiet, private, safe, clean and amazing property. The room was super spacious and food was such a delight. The swimming pool and the view are very very memorable ️Will visit again. Highly recommend the place

Very goot resort at an affordable cost. Very supportive nd helpful staff. I was little skeptical when I booked online by directly connecting via their website. The so called sales manager was not a great supportive person but later I realised that he is operating remotely and I directly connecting to the resort reception and they made sure all my needs are done on time.

Go fr private pool rooms only if you are traveling as a honey moon couples else not value for money. The normal lake facing rooms are good option if you are traveling with family.

Another point to note, if you're traveling with family and if you have kids above 12+ age, they will charge extra even if we don't need an extra bed. I felt thus rule as weired.and not family friendly.

Despite the pandemic, this property and the services just blew our minds.
We (group of 4) went there for a short two nights trip to Allapuza and we were so pleased with the stay.

Arrival: Greeting at the gate with welcome drinks. They greet you everytime when they see you, which is just so nice to see. It puts a smile on your face that you welcomed.

Rooms: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained property. Great view from the balcony facing the lake.

Amenities: some of the amenities were not available due to covid, but they have started the swimming pool.

Restaurant: they only have one restaurant but the food was top notch. I mean they only had one chef due to lesser number of guests which create little issues with the timing. However, the food was just so good.

Overall: Dont think twice if you love Kerela back waters. This is a lovely little property with great staff and services.

Good staff, good food. My kids enjoyed lot. And the live fishing has excellent experience. I caught some fish which has cooked for me from the lake canopy kitchen. Really loved it. Location and the sightseeing from the balcony was superb.

It is one of the best resort in Allapey. We had a great time there. Friendly Staff & it is safe. Followed all the covid Protocols

Room, restaurant and all other amenities are well maintained and clean. Employees are humble and helpful. Loved the place.

The Ambience of the resort is cool. I qould have to talk about the customer service first. Truely impressed from the Janitor to Chef. They care about your preferences.

Neat and clean atmosphere. You will feel how cool the weather inside the property.

The Chef has prepared customized dish for us. I would say thay it changed my entire families tast bud.

You should ask for grilled fish.oh My God.lovely taste.

Food was very delicious and location is very good, excellent service and enjoy boat service inside the campus for free.

Well maintained, clean and quite place. The staff is very supportive and cordial. The property is an very good location, book for lake view or pool view room for mesmerizing view. They have indoor games like caroms and foseball, outdoor game like badminton and basketball, you can also do fishing and pedal boating inside the resort itself. The good is great and tasty.

Place is beautiful and neatly kept. But the food service is really bad. They kept us waiting for hours and 4 of the 8 of us got very bad food poisoning. We complained to management but got no response from them.

We had a very nice time. Best was the staffs; very warm and welcoming! There were few minor issues, but the way the staffs handled our requests was awesome.all facilities and amenities were good. Rooms facing the lake, very quite and calm place

Nice place with good facilities. A good place for a day out as well as weekend hangouts. Restaurant is very good and staff support is highly remarkable.

The best about this place is the view and that it on the bank's of the lake. You can reach this hotel via two modes of transport - by car and by houseboat.
If you are lucky you will get a first floor room with a view of the lake and from their you can experience the view of sunrise. But I experienced the same besides the swimming pool on a chair and I must tell you that I was glued to the chair for the whole sunrise. The best thing about this sunrise that I experienced was that the boats and the shadow of sun on the lake. I think photographers would love this place before their onwards journey.
Why three stars? - the food here was awful and I found a lack of sensibility in the restaurant manager. He just put the food in the table and expected everybody to fight for it (like the movie 'Hum' starring Big B and Golden Girl Hema Malini).
Overall I'd say that one must come here once to experience the nature.

Elegant & Beautiful place with lake view. No network coverage. Place you can spend time for family vacations. Almost 5km from town lots of sites nearby to visit. Rooms are spacious. Lots of compliments for making the stay memorable.

Excellent hotel, room size is big, room cleanness excellent, staff is very cooperative, food quality is also good, just one minus small vehicles is reached at hotel property, but big size bus or another vehicle is not reachable at hotel due to small size entrance road, overall hotel Location is perfect, facility is also good, our Tour organisers sanctum holidays vadodara suggested this property for our group

I stayed there on 31/Dec/2018 with my family for celebrating new year evening. Resort receptionist missguided me saying that they have organized new year events but when i checked-in on 31/Dec/2018, they told me they are the silent resort & they don't organize any new year events.

Staff was very well behaved, big & beautiful rooms, excellent hospitality. I am rating 2 only because they have not told me the truth before making the booking. This felt like i have been defrauded.
