A great view point, at the entry point to Wayanad, when travelling from Calicut. Offers a mesmerizing view. And the view is different in different seasons. Almost a sure stop for anyone who travels to Wayanad through Thamarassery Ghat road. If you don't park your vehicle responsibly, it might cause traffic jam in the area, as there is no much dedicated parking area, other than the few places where there is space beside the road.
My trip to Lakkidi View Point in Wayanad, Kerala, was incredible! The moment I arrived, I was amazed by the stunning scenery. The lush green forests, waterfalls, and hills made for a picture-perfect view. The sunsets were mesmerizing, and I loved every minute of it. It's a perfect place for nature lovers and photographers. I can't wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful spot

Scenic and picturesque view of the mountain range. Its about 15 kilometers from Kalpeta on the way to Calicut. One can spend 20-30 mins in this place enjoying the awesome view of the hairpin curves on the ghat road. It's a good place to take pictures. Beware of the monkeys
Wow! Early morning is the best time to visit this place. Just mesmerizing view and it looks like heaven. Just beware of the traffic while taking photos.
It would remind you of "Lonavala and Khandala", but am not sure if you get clouds during monsoon. In summer it still was a good place to visit. Wind was blowing and is a good place to get a good cover pic for your social medias *winks*. Yea, it's a must visit place in Wayanad.
Three km from Lakkidi is the Pookot Lake, a natural freshwater lake spread across 15 acres, is one of the rare reservoirs of water in Wayanad. Surrounded by meadows and hills, it is considered by some a favorite picnic spot. Lakkidi's annual rainfall averages from 600cm to 650cm
The view is beautiful. But human being who have visited that area made it more like a garbage place if you look down if you will know. So it's a request not to throw your garbage here and there
This is a very beautiful view point just a short distance from the Vythiri village. Good views. It is on a busy highway, hence can get crowded around sunset. Ample parking space available near to this. But there some restrictions implemented by forest department in recent days due littering and harassment towards wild animals. Feel the Freshness of the Nature
SuperWayanad Ghat pass also known as Thamarassery Churam is along the National Highway NH766 connecting Kozhikode with Wayanad. Wayanad Ghat road is the most beautiful in South India stretching 14 Kms and having 9 hairpin bends with each turn taking one to a higher altitude offering a better view of the picturesque plains below. According to history, Foreign rulers were attracted by the beauty of Wayanad especially the spices and they tried to make many passes to reach Wayanad. Finally, a head of tribal community showed them this route. But in order to take the credit of having found the route, they killed the tribal head. And it is the belief that his spirit used to haunt the travellers by throwing away the vehicles into the valley. Finally he was chained to a tree to solve the problem.
