Poorly maintained. Columns beneath the gallery are crumbling and require serious structural maintenance. Kollam corporation spends crores of rupees to paint the exterior and are not bothered about any structural maintenance.

Im not sharing the experience in stadium.
But about the experience of Tea and Juice stall outside the stadium. They had different varieties of juices and snack items.with affordable price. That place makes our mind peaceful, especially from evening. This place was nearby Kollam Railway Station

Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium brings back some old memories. Visited the stadium as a school student. Had a great time during Republic Day and Independence Day. Was a participant of March past during those days. The stadium otherwise was a court for football matches and school and college athletics meet. Morning walkers and joggers and fitness enthusiasts occupy the stadium in the morning. Many synthetic courts for tennis, handball, basketball etc are developed by QAC around the stadium. Lots of parking space is there.

Very popular and large space for entertainment and sports trees are filled besides the road

It's a corporation stadium. It hosts football matches, tennis matches, volleyball game, badminton matches, basketball game and all athletic events. It's a nice place develope our sports potential. Moreover it's a place for morning walk jogging. Training are conducted for boxing, football, handball, skating and for all athletic event. This stadium also hosts many sports events conducted by schools, colleges, govement and nongovernmental institutions.
