Lokanarkavu Temple

Thirty days Mandala Utsavam in Malayalam month Vrischikam (November–December) and pooram in Malayalam month meenam (March–April) are the annual festival at the Lokanarkavu Bhagavathy Temple. This is the only temple where a peculiar folk dance called Poorakkali is presented during festivals. The dance, resembles the martial art Kalarippayattu. Even today, all Kalaripayattu artists seek the blessings of the deity before their debut due to the association of Lokanarkavu Temple with legendary hero thacholi othenan.

It's an historical beautiful temple one should visit this temple in a life time. You can get the blessings lord Shiva, Vishnu and Bhagavathi in this one temple with divine.
The ambiance and the calmness in the temple makes you so divine feel and make you to visit again.
Now the temple has come with guest house near the temple so it's even more blessed when we stay there.
The breakfast they served there was so good with black chukku coffee.
Theyserve food all time for the devotees.
Finally the kolam water was too good

It is the mighty Bhagwati who is here. Goddess Durga resides here. There is a Shiva temple and a Maha Vishnu temple at the bottom. Historical Durga Devi temple, it is very huge temple but from outside it may look smaller. This temple has got beautiful mural paintings and sculptures. Inside of this temple I noticed more than 3 wells and I had no idea about it.
Must visit place with family. Had a good experience, positive vibes, inner peace ️

One of the top temple in Kerala. If you are in vadakara and you have got an hour to spare then this place would be the best option. Very divine, calm and quite temple. Sculpture works are really good.
