We use to visit this hotel regularly and the service was good too. But today it was very diasappoiting. The service is horrible and the person whi came to take our orderhad a disgusting behavior. Never shall visit next time. Very bad experience
Poor service, staff do not even bother to attend you. Even for the meals, during noon time there was a delay of 20 mins and was served only after additional enquiry. Unlike other restaurants, they did not enquire for additional rice or curries. Finally an ice cream order took 15mins to deliver, it was almost melted.
Had north and south thali. North Thali - lot of variety in the items. Pulao, roti/ thandoori parantha, butter paneer, mixed veg, raita, roasted papad, sheera, dal curry. Every single curry tastes yummy and was served hot.
South thali - rice, Sambhar, avial, moru curry, payasam, upperi, pappadam, curd. Sambhar is a bit on the watery side with almost no dal in it. Payasam was also not that great, but overall it was good.
Lots of parking space available. Due to covid restrictions, seating is not permitted inside. The food can be parcelled and be eaten in the outdoor seating area. We ordered dosa - it came with sambar and chutney. Food was tasty. The snacks counter outside is very popular and serves tea, coffee, milk, pazhampori, samosa, vada besides other snacks. Clean ambience.
Had a Kerala meals, north indian meals, masala papad.
Both meals were hot, fresh and tasty. However the masala papad was disappointing, it had a wet topping which made the papad soggy and was extremely spicy with gracious amounts of chilly powder.
We had to just keep it away and didn't eat it
But north indian meals made up for this.
It has the following - soup - roasted papad - laccha paratha - veg pulav - gobi manchurian - paneer butter masala - Mixed veg - daal - salad - raita - sheera Priced at around 200+
Was tasty and wholesome
Kerala meals is 130 and had all the standard items with an ari payasam.
Both were good. Ample parking. Near peringaav junction.
Food is good. Only takeaways now. But takes some time to get your order. Probably due to shortage of staff as an inevitable fallout of covid. Otherwise a nice place to dine in.
Now dine in has closed. Take away is there. Adjacent one teashop as part of madhurai hotel is working with chats and chai available. The food is great! Wheel chair accessible parking and entrance is there.
Good vegetarian restaurant with elegant interiors. Food is good and reasonably priced. The place is neat and clean and the overall the ambience is good. They offer plenty of parking space also.
Good vegetarian food. Usually the wait is more. Very much crowded even at late nights. They serve decent vegetarian food. But I did not like their tomato chutney served with dosa. Take away time is lesser than expected. Great place to have a coffee
Tea kada was a fabulous spot for Tea and snacks. But, now they are not serving like before. Quality of the food is not upto the mark. In case of Madurai, it's a good choice for vegetarian food.
This place is near Daya hospital. Easily visible while driving.i came here with my family for a vegetarian lunch. I'm a pure nonvegetarian & I love my meats- I rarely eat from pure veg restaurants but this place blew my mind. Food was so tasty that it made me forget meat n fish in general.loved the decor, seating n everything.genuinely polite staff & food is moderately priced too. We had onion soup & mushroom soup- i loved both. We had garlic naan with malai paneer kofta curry- yum yum yum.the curry is not at all spicy & is mildly sweet- i loved it. We also had Kashmiri pulao with pepper mushroom & gobi manchurian.loved all 3 especially the gobi dish- it was yum yumm yummm. We also ordered one meal- it comes with 8-9 side dishes, sambhar, pappadam & payasam including curd n rasam- a no nonsense standard veg meals. I'll definetly visit this place for lunch next time i'm in thrissur & I suggest this place to everybody who wants to take their family to a hotel other than Akshaya, Poonkunnam
One among the best vegetarian restaurants at thrissur. Ample car parking. Quality maintained in making n serving food. 4/5 given as the price are slightly on the higher side. Their tea shop Tea kadai gives good snacks.
I ordered north indian thali meals through a food delivery app. Quantity, packaging and quality is good. Masala level is optimum. Bit costly but you will not regret
Tea Kadai. Very busy place in the evening for Tea, snacks, chats, shakes. Mostly Good. 1 week back I got samosa Outside hot inside Cold.felt it as an old, re roasted one.
I ordered Butter Masala Dosa and Channa Battura. Whereas Butter Masala Dosa lacks Butter itself and they charge Rs 100 for such a Dosa, it is not at all acceptable. And the Masala is not a great one. When Sambar was horrible Chutney tasted good.
Channa Battura is just OK. But the price is again Rs 100. Onion provided with it was not sufficient. And they provided some pickle with that. Not their preparation it seems. May be purchased from the local market. For such a price it is not a best buy. And Taxes are extra
But I recommend their Masala Tea and Filter Coffee outside the restaurant. It's in Tea Kadai. It's really tasty.
And you have a good parking space inside. Ambience is good. Taste may be different from person to person. It's not my taste. But pricing is on a higher side
Good ambience, food, amenities and customer service.
Tasty food with lots of varieties and options to choose from. Nice customer service and interaction. Parking space with lot to handle 10 plus cars. Easily locatable from road. They seem to have outside quick snack facility but didn't check it out.
1 star less as the chef team prepared a dish in their own way which was out of our or common expectations. And ruined the dish in my view. The service employee is humble to note the same to improve in future.
It's just ok place is quite spacious but getting a table can be difficult. Food is ok nothing exceptional but priced on the higher side. Not your typical South Indian restaurant with fast service. Think of place and ambience of them trying to get south indian cuisine to fine dine and haven't succeeded at either
A good restaurant for vegetarian foods. Ambience was very good and taste was also good. Nice service too. There is 15-20mins average waiting time for serving the food. Price is a bit high. Tried paneer manchurian which was very tasty.
Madurai is an okay vegan restaurant in Thrissur. I like their interior. Have always found the staff courteous. Food and flavor is okay. It's a good place for a decent eat at a good price.
