Awesome place with great beach view cottages. Best for family retreat or any other gathering; we saw a college reunion happening while we were there. Kids would love the place as it has the beach, swimming pool and play area. Food and service was also good. Slightly on the expensive side, but that must be because we were there during the Christmas - New Year holiday period. Highly recommend.

Good destination for hanging out with friends and family. The beach view and the pool are the best. Food is not that tasty for the price they charged.

We were impressed to see the reviews here and amazed by the pics. However we didn’t see it when we reached here.reception: was not able to manage properly she told she will check on lunch if table available n be back but after 15 mind of wait she didn’t come n we have to go and see as it was late.

Restaurant: most of the food items are average and parota’s are frozen one’s not fresh made. Kerala’s another identity which is parota that we missed alot. They take average time to get food but food doesn’t up to the mark expected. Very very disappointed.

Room: shower flows like waterfalls. Not proper soap holders. Door latches have green color as they are made of bronze and not cleaned. No mats on all entrances.

Indoor games: only carroms, TT and snooker but some are paid. And not much clean area here toilets smell comes.

Outdoor area: only this was worth however the chairs are not there anymore like in few pics you see. And no decorations around huts or wood panels.

My friend suggested this as they visited 2 years ago this was amazing place but not anymore. It already feels old and not maintained well. Many places paint is worn off and wood is faded and everywhere spiderwebs

Instead of paying 10k night here it’s much worth visiting Dhanushkodi beach or Murudeshwara beach in one night’s money.

The best resort in Bekal. But the breakfast is horrible. It's cold. It needs to be improved. The beauty is there. Resort is very clean. But Food services need to improve.

Awesome beach front resort in north kerala. Seems its one of the finest beach resort in Kerala. Highly recommended for families, friends and couples. Such a peaceful and sceneric ambience refresh your mind and body. Well maintained and well clean beach areas. Very nice spot for conducting marriages and all types of parties. Can spend time and fun in High secured Private beach. Pool and rooms are well maintained, clean and money worth. Highly reccomended to all.

Best place for family hangout, private beach is soothing, the place absolutely right for family with children and couples or even groups. The thing I lacked with their food. It’s not that how I expected. Better food can be find nearby restaurants but their salads are pretty good. Food is the thing need to improve!

Food and ambience is awesome. But the customer service is very bad. No proper lock for bathroom, no hot water and the service people doesn't even know what service means.
Leon was not at all cooperative. At the end moment he calls up and talks about policies and conditions. We booked the resort for wedding 2 months in advance and they never informed about their conditions and policies. Leon just calls up the previous day and informs of some conditions that we were not even informed when we visited their resort twice. Very disappointed with their services during stay and for wedding.

It's a beautiful place. I have not stayed but went for lunch and exploring.it was really good and you can see the sea and it's walkable.it's private beach and you will love it.they have pool. Their food is amazing.bit costly but all good.

My room is 105 facing beach it was nice ambience, room is clean n neat, out side place like beach pool garden are maintained good and clean, foods that they served is good, need to be improving by adding kids play area etc.

I had a problem in ma bathroom there's no proper hot water and water pressure in bathroom.

There are simply no words to describe how beautiful, neat and peaceful this resort is! The beach is super clean and well maintained. Great food! What I loved the most is their hospitality. The staff always have a smile on their face and have so much humility. They are solution-oriented and are always happy to help and make the guests' have a comfortable stay! Great going, you guys!

Went for photoshoot, location is good. But issue is the room which they give for changing even after charging you the huge amount. Also only 4 person are allowed in the package for additional person they charge 250 per person, this is all excluding GST.

The beach and pool was very clean. Great place for family and kids.

I'm surprised that people give negative feedback for this resort. We would have skipped the property if we blindly followed the reviews.

The resort's location is simply fabulous. It has access to the beach and is mesmerizing for a Holiday. The staff also deserves a thumbs up for their warm hospitality. They tried to cater to each and every request made by us. Mr. Leon (Manager), Mr. Sarath & Head Chef were very very helpful. They even prepared JAIN food for us. We were very happy with their services.

Very nice for pre wedding shooting.but they were giving very less time.they have to extend their timing 5 hours to 7 hours.

Best experience we had. The food was great, yummy. Staff was very friendly, they were very helpful as we had kid and toddler.

Cons:
- Complimentary BF is not great. It was just ok
- It seems bath towels are the same one which they bought on the day of inauguration (it won’t cost much for them to replace the towels, but which will provide great satisfaction for the tenants)
- They could have served at-least a welcome drink when the guests arrived at the hotel (first impression)

Edit: They promise everything like candle light dinner in the beach, arranging cake cutting ceremony etc while booking the rooms, but nothing is going to happen with the same comment “Sir we are really sorry, we have an event today and all of our staff are highly occupied” always.

My wife and I, recently visited this place for our post wedding photoshoot, they charged us 4.5K for 5 hours and only 4 members were allowed. They told they’d would charge extra if we exceeded the time and number of people. They provided us with a small prayer room adjacent to the public toilet instead of a changing room and public toilet for our personal use! Both rooms were not cleaned and there was no water in the toilet.
They had collected all the money in advance, told they’d serve us tea and snacks in the same package but they made our photographers wait for more than half and hour for the same.
When we called the manager he would keep telling everything will be taken care of and no actions were taken.
Also, There was no watchman to open the gate even, they expected us to call them and open! Disgusting!
Experienced a lot of difficulty to get even one bottle of water! Please don’t visit this place for photoshoot.

Perfect resort.
We went for a save the date shoot. Really nice place with many nice angles for photography.

My experience with this resort during my pre-wedding shoot has been very disappointing.
They charge around 5000 for the photoshoot package. Which includes 5 hours for 5 people including photographers, changing room and washroom, tea and snacks included (which was only served after 2-3 follow ups).

The changing room provided is an unused prayer hall near the second gate with a ceiling fan which might break and fall down anytime. The room is small (6ft x 4ft maybe) and unkempt. The table wardrobe inside is filled with old clothes and table mats. The bathroom is outside and is a common washroom. The state of the washroom is pathetic. It's dirty and not cleaned for weeks. The tiles are slippery and there's water clogging inside.

The staffs and rude (most of them, not all) pretend like you don't exist. They hardly acknowledge your presence or even for the request for drinking water. Some lights near the area where we were shooting were not lit and the reply we got when we asked them to turn it on was 'thats the switch, if it's not turning on, then it's not working'. The wall fan in the waiting area started working after some struggle only.

Now coming to the ambience, the beach stinks and there's litter everywhere. The pool isn't functional and we weren't told that before the payment. Their private beach is nothing more than what you see in any regular public beach. We had few public coming to the beach (can't complain there because you cannot control it) but atleast they could keep it clean. The foul sent kept lingering around the entire area.

In short, it's definitely not worth paying 5 grand for what they offer/provide. Wouldn't recommend anyone. You can find much much better options than this everywhere. I heard the management is new and there's a lot of changes happening (definitely more negative than positive) as my past experience with the resort has not been this bad.

Please avoid and save the money and disappointment.

Is this the pool view. Are you kidding us. Why are you charging 7 k for this tarpaulin view.
. No proper response from hotel staff.
. Broken lock. Can't lock the room from out side.
. Pool view (tarpaulin view) door can open from out side. No safety.
. Septic tank odor outside of the rooms.
. No follow up from service side after check in.
. Paid almost 30 k for one day. Got 300 rs service.

Very disappointed with this resort. Very poor hospitality. My husband and I visited this resort for our post wedding photoshoot. They charged us 4.5K for the same. The room they provided us for changing didn’t have even a proper working fan, washroom was very unhygienic. They promised us basic beverages and snacks while booking the resort, they were very unprofessional while serving, in fact they made us and our photographers wait for over 30minutes for a basic tea.
Never going to visit this place again neither going to recommend this place to anyone.

The four star rating I rated above is only for the Good location which has an easy access to a private beach. Very beautiful view of the beach from rooms. Good food. The service and facilities provided is disappointing from such a star resort.

Malabar is the best beach resort in Kerala. They have a beach house in the beach, open the huge French window and next twenty steps you are in the waves. It’s a must live property if you are a beach and sea lover. Their hospitality is class, good food and amazing staff. They will make you feel home. We have booked for a day and ended up staying two days. My wife had issue with her stomach, they made sure she is fine with special food and ayurvedic medicines for her. They have a spa with authentic ayurvedic massage. All In all it’s a one of its kind experience. Highly recommend property.

Nothing personal. Worst resort in kerala.
Not even worth for Rs: 1001/- pay morethan 6000 thousands and get room with dirty vomiting smells in rooms and excessives in toilets. This is not personal.

Private beach and swimming pool. Great place to spend with your family for couple of days. Well maintained property. Food is bit costly but the food quality and taste is not up to the mark. Recommended for couple fo days stay with your family.

Photogenic location. They provide private party services too.

All staffs in reception, cleaning, restaurant are polite, helpful and responsive.
We had seaside candle light dinner, awesome experience. Mr Fayaz, who served dinner for us was really helpful.
They provided pickup and drop service from railway station. Mr Rajeev was helpful and looked into that we are comfortable throughout our stay. Lot of thanks to him.
Unlike other reviews, We liked the food. Complimentary seaside breakfast, fresh seafood. Adequate portion, tasty food. Price lil high.

Good ambience, infrastructure facilities etc.but guests are not treated well by restaurant staff. Even after waiting for one & half hour food was not served in restaurant tonight (11/04/2021). No responsible person to handle guests with care.

We organized a surprise birthday party for my beloved wife, the team was so supportive and helpful, i was bit confused about the road, however I managed to reached there on time. The resort has ample car parking area.

The place and view of the resort is fine but the hospitality is not so good. They are not punctual at their service. The view of the beach is nice and cool the food is also fine inside the resort, the surrounding of the resort is fine but they could make the things better I guess

Very disappointed with this resort me and my Wife Visited this resort on 02/10/2020 For Post wedding Photoshoot and we got wet in the beach with full of Mud in the body and we ask for bathroom and the GM Showed a Toilet for bath even though we paid 3.5k! And they didn’t care their customers and he Miss behaved to Us. So better you re think before uh choose to stay here.

The beach is a bit steep, so the waves are choppy, but the swimming pool is good.

Was here on busnz trip, first of all these ppl cook BEEF here rooms has to b mainained but bed spreads n towels are very bad, when asked vth staff they said its automatic laundry wash but when we came out of resort n walked to near by village we found the towels n bedspreads are hanged on rope to dry by near by local house laundry person we clikwd few pictures of that n enquired they say all cloths from resort they wash n dry

Amazing location of this property. It is right on the beach. They need to pay a little more attention to the maintenance of the property, rest is all good.

Only problem we faced was delayed start of breakfast. Breakfast is scheduled to start at 8am but on 4th Jan 2020 buffet wasn't set up till 8: 20am.

Most definitely one of the best resorts I have stayed in. The ambiance is to die for. It's almost like they have a private beach! Food quality, staff, service everything is just perfect. Most comfortable. Must visit.

This place has a private beach, a pool, a restaurant and a game area. The pool wasn't clean though, I did see a frog in the pool. The restaurant was a bit pricy. Apart from the clean rooms and helpful staff.

Empty beach, lush green property, well thought big play area for the kids, easy access to nearby places. Just the way I like it. Beach in a lazy town. Property is really good and well maintained. We stayed in the luxury rooms which I did not find much different from the other rooms. However, it had no roof spacious bathrooms which was a pleasure. Most of the rooms are designed to face the ocean. An empty beach. Only reason a star is missing is because of the breakfast. Very limited choice. I would rate food in general as average. Stay was really pleasant and they also have some packages for spa and tour around the area. Hope you get to see this place. Happy holidays

It's an exceptional property, I stayed in the ocean facing luxury room, the biggest plus was, the view made me forget everything else that the place couldn't offer. The cons being.doors rusted. Lizards.tons of mosquitoes, the dripping AC.food was just edible nothing extraordinary like the oryx hotel which was again owned by the Delwan group. I just feel if offering "luxury" the staff need to make a trip to the luxury hotels to understand what the word *luxury* means. I understand it's difficult to maintain stuff in that humid climate. But I hope they respect the place they have got n work towards maintaining the property at it's best.otherwise. I loved the place n wouldn't hesitate coming back. Tc guys

Well the 4 stars is for the resort and the services the provide. Great ambience for family get together with clean beaches and cottages for stay. The food they provide is below average especially considering the cost.

Beautiful cottages with extremely loving view of the sea, a private beach makes it more clean to walk. Nice swimming pool and dine room. Comfortable beds and bathroom with bath tubs, wow.

This is a silent place. Every thing was perfect. The beach, the food, the staff, the surrounding village. Just perfect.
