We had one day music album shoot
at the resort. Resort full with traditional old art crafts and furniture which are looking great.
It was nice experience we spend at the resort.

We had booked the entire place for my daughter's wedding. Our guests loved the ambience and their hospitality. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to entertain their friends and family or if you are just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life enjoy a quiet weekend.

The best guest house you will get in Aranmula, right at the banks of the Pampa River.
The staff is extremely friendly and Mr. Varghese who is the owner is the most helpful person. He took us around for a walk of the village and a boat ride, and even went out of the way on a Sunday to help me buy some spices and souvenirs.

I stayed at Malakkarethu House Homestay last week. Good food, very good rooms with balcony. Food was superb.

Great place. Well organized. Good rooms. From the garden it overlooks the place where the boat race takes place. Adjacent to the river. Staff very attentive and helpful.

This place was one of my favorite stays during our Kerala trip! It's located in a quaint village with more of a traditional vibe. Things are pretty low-key, so it's wonderful for a getaway or to focus on work. That doesn't mean there isn't stuff to see though. You can take a walk through surrounding gardens, go on a boat ride, visit the Parthasarathi Temple, and/or see how the town's famous Kannadis are made! The hosts were a highlight of our stay. Jojy welcomed us warmly and immediately made plans for what we could do during our stay. Tenney quickly addressed any needs we had in the house and answered any questions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would go back when I am next in Kerala!

This is a hidden treasure of a homestay. Extremely famous locally of course, and hence if you land in and around Aranmula and ask for the name you will be easily guided to the house.

Perched on the banks of the Pamba river and in close proximity to the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, the home stay is extremely comfortable, airy and well maintained. The staff is extremely courteous and you don't feel away from home.

During the off season too, this is an ideal place to have a vacation or a work-cation.
The food served is the local cuisine and you can preplan if you need anything specific.

It is also the finishing point of the boat race (vallamkali) and hence gives you the ideal spot to view the race. A must visit during the vallamsadya and vallamkali which is usually after the Onam festival.

Overall, i would highly recommend this homestay for its comfort, food, ambience and location. The owner Joychan as he is popularly known is an amazing host too! Great work team! Will definitely re-visit!

Jojy and his employees were all super nice, I felt like at home from the first day. Even I was not hosted there (I had booked another accommodation), they were cooking my breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and helping me a lot since I was traveling alone. The place feels like a home-away-from-home. Situated near the Parthasarathy Temple. The rooms are airy, clean, spacious with plenty of natural light. The proximity of the gently flowing Pampa together with the clean green surroundings are comforting to the mind. The owner and staff are polite, friendly and ready to assist with a smile. The quality of the meals is par excellence. A place I’d definitely return to, again and again and again.

This is an excellent homestay property to spend your holidays. It is very close to the Parthasarathi Temple with a good connectivity from M K road. The courtyard of this property offers a tranquil atmosphere with an unpolluted cool breeze that touches the ripples of river pamba flowing right in front of it.
The owner of this property is a jovial personality who ensures a high degree of hospitality to the guests. Crew members are also very friendly and polite to the guests.
The food was very freshly cooked and so tasty. Owner told me that the chef is very good at preparing biryani with his own signature recipe. Definitely next time I will get my hands on it.
The property is surrounded with some good places of touristic attributes that includes aranmula mirror manufacturing unit (traditional method, original GI tagged aranmula mirror can be purchased from here), mural paints art gallery, Konni elephant kraal (apprx. 35 Km), bowl boat ride at Adavi (a must try, apprx 13 Km from Konni).

A wonderful place to enjoy a serene ambience with an essence of unalloyed hospitality.

Had an exotic stay at this place for 5nights with my family. Jojy uncle was very helpful and made our stay comfortable. Had a pleasure of chatting up with him every evening and my parents also had good time interacting with him. His collections of old artifacts is something to really look forward to.

Ambience is great and location too is accessible to all places. Homely food cooked and served with love during our stay made this entire trip more joyful.

It's a beautiful house situated near the bank of pamba river, Aranmula heritage village. Here we enjoyed the economical home stay with magical architectural design and fulfilled with traditional handicrafts items which gives a museum building feel. We get peaceful stay from day to night with greenery nature that produce echo friendly atmosphere. Any kind of food is available at your table as your wish which is tasty than ever we had. Most importantly staffs are very very friendly nature with each and every guest and they are at your door step 24×7. This house is suitable for leisure time, holiday trips, couples, bussiness tours and also conducting events. Must try home once you coming to aranmula!

We stayed there for 3 weeks from Feb 12,2022 to March 4,2022.
What a wonderful time we have. It was just as we were at home, like my sister giving us every morning bed coffee, checking every day what we would like to eat for lunch and dinner. And there some food my wife really wanted to eat, which the great host Jojy made it a point to get it done. All the food served were lip smacking, Lukocha the Cook.
The rooms were very well maintained and clean. You cannot forget the external Natural Ambience. If you like nature you will surely love it. There were 2 outdoor events which were held during our stay. We never had any inconvenience. The boys were good Reju (Manager), Martin and Nikhil, they took care of all our other needs. Call them any time of the night they are there. This can happen only when you have a great host. We were lucky to meet Jojy's lovely family couple times and socialize.

What can I say? Beyond expectations. We chose this place for our stay after seeing the photos of the property and the 5 star rating. What we were totally unprepared for was the 5 star hospitality and professionalism of Mr. Joji and his entire team. Malakkarethu House is all about preserving the past, and respecting the character of an old home. This is exactly what we were looking for. Everything else was bonus for us.great food cooked and served with so much love and attention and people who are there to look after your every need, warm but non-intrusive.

First off, the place is maintained very neat and it have a nice earthy vibe entirely.

The staff is very friendly and has been very helpful till date. They maintain the area very frequently with regular care to the areca nut trees and the outhouse is an addition to the place offering a great view to the river banks.

The hammocks are a great place to chill out and relax with your family and friends. Be sure to check out this spot in the summer and autumn season.

If you are coming in for the snake boat race, this would be a great view!

The experience was too bad.very expensive tooo.they didn't afford a complimentary break fast and for appam and egg curry they are charging 200 per head.for a night we paid 3200 rupees.to be frank it was a trap

I stayed here overnight for a day. I liked the nalukettu pattern of the home stay building and the lavish display of several ancient artifacts there, reminding me of my own younger days in this Kerala village. The entire compound outside is thickly wooded with a variety of trees. The compound was absolutely coooool; it should be so even in the peak summer. Just adjacent to it, in the rear, water-flow in the Pumpa river is visible for several kms up and down. Its banks provided a beautiful scenery that would be the envy of any nature lover. It is an excellent spot for meditation and contemplation. I sat on the benches for almost an hour in the morning, totally lost to the scenic beauty. The best time to sit here is the early morning and evening. My wife and I look forward to our next visit. K. M Thomas, 76 years old.

A beautiful place to stay. Very comfortable and welcoming. Walking distance to Parthasarathi temple and perfect view to watch Aranmula boat race. Wonderful place to relax after a long travel. Highly recommended for Konni, Adavi, Gavi and Perunthenaruvi waterfalls.

Well, they have just a few rooms and if it is during the peak season like during the time of Aranmula Valla Sadhya, you better book in advance. The homestay is at a walkable distance from the famous Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple.

It’s always a pleasure to go back to your roots, My mother belongs originally from Aranmula and now we all are relocated to different parts of world.

When we are together for many occasions back to Kerala, we always visit Aranmula especially the temple, earlier it was difficult to get accommodation, since We found this Homestay things have changed, now there is a calm and serene place to stay just like your home.
