The perfect place to relax with its peaceful setting and the most amazing hosts. The cooking is unbelievable so make sure you have breakfast and dinner there for the BEST food you’ll eat in Kerala. Super close the beach (visit the early morning fish market) and bikes to borrow so you can explore the area. We can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay with wonderful and caring hosts. Ideally located because it is a stone's throw from the beach where you can relax on deckchairs and in the shade of parasols. Bicycles are also available for exploring the surroundings and leisurely lounging around. In the evening, enjoy Jency's small dishes, who is an outstanding cook! We will come back for sure!

Superb homestay. Far exceeded my expectations and the highlight of my trip to India. It has the quality of a luxury spa, with the warmth of a friendly Guesthouse. The pool area is gorgeous, the food wonderful and the hosts could not be more helpful. I used the free bikes and did yoga with Allwyn in the mornings. I also recommend the Ayurvedic massage with local practionar that Allwyn can book for you. Enjoy!

We had an absolutely perfect stay here. It was a great place to relax and refuel. Allwyn and Jency are great hosts and they’ve worked hard to create a little oasis here. Special mention goes to Jency’s delicious, authentic cooking which was seriously among the best we tasted in Kerala. There’s not a lot of other eating options around so we were only too happy to have dinner there each night. You won’t go hungry. They have a bunch of very friendly dogs whose company we enjoyed, and the staff were all very nice. There’s bikes to use to explore the village roads around, there’s a local bus into Alleppey, Marari Beach is a few minutes walk away and we cycled to the jetty (about 40 mins) to get the ferry over to Kumakarum. We stayed five nights in Cashew Villa which - if it’s available- you should definitely book. Private pool. Open air shower. Little garden. Birdsong. Loungers. Hammock. Hanging chair. Bean bags. It’s got the lot. It really felt like a mini holiday within our three week trip. Highly recommended. Thank you Allwyn and Jenny.

Homestay of Dreamz
I stayed here with my wife for just a couple of nights although we had already visited prior to this as we had stayed at Allwyn and Jency’s other property, Mandaram Villas.
Marari Dreamz consists of 3 villas, an apartment and 3 pools. We stayed in the rear villa which had its own private pool. Our room was simply but pleasantly furnished, with air conditioning, and had its own bathroom complete with open air shower. Meals were dished up outside our room and everything we were served was wonderful. If you want your evening meal here too Jency will cook you the most delicious local cuisine.
The staff work hard keeping the place tidy, the grounds neat and the pools clean.
Marari Dreamz is in a good location, situated on a quiet lane and just a short walk to the beach. There are also bicycles you can use if you want to explore the local area whilst you are here.
Allwyn was very helpful and was able to organise day trips out and about to various places of interest.
Would I stay here again? Definitely

Marari Dreamz is truly a dream! Great attention is made to the entire site, from the outdoor lounging areas to the pools to the villas - its all fantastic, warm and beautiful. Stayed in the Cashew room, and the private pool was perfect. The sitting area had ample comfortable places to relax, the bed was super comfy, the semi-outdoor shower and bathroom suite was super sweet! This is a private oasis yet just a short walk to the peaceful beach, where the water is warm and waves pleasant, without the busyness of many other beaches in this part of Kerala.
Allwyn, Jenci and their lovable pets are incredible hosts. Would highly recommend this gorgeous gem in a stunning and special part of the planet!

The hidden star of Marari Beach I was tempted to not review this hotel because then it will be harder to book in future. Set in a tropical style green garden, with private rooms and a great pool, yet only minutes from a super beach, this is our second visit. Extremely efficiently managed by Alwyn, who is ably supported by Jency, who is an excellent chef, look no further if you want 5 star service, good food and comfort at a price well below that of the 5 Star hotels in the area. Very highly recommended!

Best place ever. Location was stunning, in a great tropical garden steps from beaches. We had a private pool villa, we enjoy it so much. Room very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were served personally on the private patio, that was amazing and what about food? The best ever, freshly cooked by Jansi. Thanks a lot, we had a memorable stay. This was by far the most beautiful accomodation we had during our India trip and it was made even more special by Allwyn and Jency. Not to mention their five sweet dogs. The homemade dinner was among the best keralan food we had and my partner enjoyed the morning yoga session with Allwyn immensely:) If you’re looking for a place that feels both cozy and luxurious - look no further!

A little slice of heaven! We stumbled upon this place by accident and so feel especially lucky to have found it. Everything about it is five star but with all the personal touches of a homestay. We couldn’t fault a thing. They made myself, my husband and daughter feel so special and looked after. Perfect for a relaxing time away. Go soon as this is sure to be added to an “Alastair Sawday” type guide soon and then they’ll be fully booked forever!

Marari Dreamz is truly spectacular and Allwyn is an utterly exceptional host. We borrowed bicycles from him to explore Marari and rode up quiet streets with him for a local Ayuverdic massage. He also arranged a return tuk tuk journey for us down to Alleppey and a boat trip around the fascinating inland backwaters that characterise this area. Nothing is too much trouble for him and we could have spent every day if we had wished touring the area based on his recommendations. The fact that we did not, and spent a lot of our time at Marari Dreamz itself, is a tribute to the welcoming and homely atmosphere he has created. The handful of holiday cottages, all of which have access to either shared or private pools, are comfortable and peacefully integrated into the sub tropical gardens he has designed. We spent many peaceful hours reading and relaxing in this most sublime atmosphere. His staff are superb, busy, very friendly, and not intrusive. Finally, Jency, Allwyn's lovely partner. What a complete star she is! Her kind nature permeates the entire place and her cooking is as good as the best we had in the whole of our tour around this most culinary states of India. If you want to experience the best of Keralan cuisine, what better way to do so than sitting under the balmy Indian sky, listening to the night birds and sampling dishes she has lovingly prepared. Allwyn and Jency have made something truly special at Marari Dreamz and deserve the very highest praise for their creation.

We spent three nights at Marari Dreamz and I could not recommend it more for someone who is after an authentic taste of Kerala! Allwyn and Jency are fantastic hosts, going above and beyond and helping with local recommendations for massages, food and markets. Jency’s food was some of the best we had in Kerala and she was so kind to let me watch her cook. Thank you for a beautiful time!

Amazing place, food is extremely good. They have 5 absolutely adorable dogs (dream place for all the animal lovers), great pool, staff is extremely friendly. Place is super clean, good location, possibility to borrow bikes to discover surroundings. Coming back again 100%.

A home away from home. It's a beautifully kept property. Allwyn and Jency are fantastic hosts and go out of their way in making sure we feel comfortable throughout right from the booking process till we reach our home and beyond.
Their staff are extremely well trained, polite and patient in their services.
The 5 dogs and cats too deserve a mention for they were extremely affectionate towards us.
Jency's cooking is delicious and Allwyn's suggestion for us to try out kayaking in the backwaters and making sure we meet the right persons was really kind of him.

Had a very pleasant and peaceful stay here. The hosts are very nice and warm people. Will definitely miss the breakfast spread, swimming pools and the laid-back evenings at the marari beach which is just 5 mins walk away. They offer bicycles which one can use to explore the village. You can also visit Alleppey during the day which is half an hour away. Thank you allwyn and jency for the wonderful stay!

We had very calm and pleasant 2 nights stay at Dreamz. Hosts were very hospitable and felt like home away from home.

Since the pandemic has subsided, everyone wants to release themselves from their cocoon and set out for a short vacation. So what better way to have a vacation than a home away from home. The homestay I'm talking about is Maarari Dreams. My best friend, sister in law and myself went on a girls only trip to this place. Allywn and Jency were so welcoming that they felt like family immediately. We felt so safe in their presence that we felt comfortable to wear anything and be ourselves. Now let me talk about my favourite part the food. Jency is blessed with " Kaipunyam " (Blessed hands in Malayalam), it literally means whatever she made was absolutely yummy. I am carnivore like most Keralites, but because of her delicious cooking I ate more of the vegetarian dishes than the non. We stayed in a room which had a private pool, just imagine a pool all to yourself. The room was spacious with all the necessary requirements like running hot water, kettle, locker, sofa, AC. On the outside it had a hammock to just relax and breath in fresh air. The area is covered with plants and tree so I felt like I was in some exotic place like Bali. And for all those animal lovers out there, you must visit this place as the family has rescued dogs and cats. But don't worry for those who are not fond of them, the animals were very well behaved. Finally, Allywn and Jency were genuinely two lovely couple who were ready to go to any extent to keep their guest happy and make them feel like home. So I want to give a big shout out to these awesome couples for a great vacation. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay with Allwyn & Densy at Marari Dreamz. It was such a special time at the end of a 25 day trip with such caring hosts. Our room was lovely, surrounded by plants & with a hammock & seats on the veranda. Densy’s cooking is superb and we ate breakfast & dinner on our veranda. We made good use of the swimming pool & also went to the beach where you can walk for miles as well as pleasant walks around the village. A great place to chill. Thanks for looking after us so well.

Allwyn and Densy were very welcoming and caring hosts. We had pleasant and relaxing time at their place. The kerala cuisine served was absolutely delicious! The place is very clean and has all conveniences for a pleasant stay.

Fully recommend staying with Allwyn and Jency! They are the most thoughtful and caring hosts, catering for our every need. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and the food prepared by Jenny is exceptional and delicious. They gave plenty of recommendations, provided scooters and bicycles, and is in a perfect location.
We felt more like relatives coming home, not paying tourists.
We really hope to be able to come back and stay again in the future. X

Amazing place to stay, wonder hosts who so helpful organising trips and taxis for us. The most delicious food we ate in Kerala and wonderful accommodation, so comfortable and beautiful gardens and pool.

Had THE best time holidaying here with my mum. So cultural and authentic, relaxed and peaceful in the beauty garden Allwyn has created. The pool made me feel like I was in the cover of a holiday magazine as it was so beautiful and private. Jency’s Food is off the chart amazing and the accommodation is absolutely gorgeous. A perfect mix of real traditional with modern twists for ultimate comfort. Loved. Every. Moment. The most amazing place to stay! Allwyn and Jency are the loveliest people who make you feel so at home. The food is delicious also. It's a home away from home! Can't wait to come back.

My husband and I stayed here on the recommendation of my daughter. We were there two nights in between stays at five star properties and we wanted to experience some more local accommodation and life. The owners were so welcoming and our large room and bathroom comfortable with all amenities. The Wi-Fi was good and we ate breakfast and dinner at the property on our terrace which was very tasty. There were bikes to use and an umbrella and mat for us to take to the nearby beach. This property even has a lovely pool to relax around. It was clean and the owners were so helpful. We would recommend this homestay highly. You won’t be disappointed.

What an amazing 3 night stay we had here. We booked it on the recommendation of some friends who had stayed previously and it lived up to what they told us about it. Allwyn and Jency are just the perfect hosts and work super hard to make sure you have a great stay with them. The rooms are lovely with great open air bathrooms. The food is incredible and is served to you in your private area outside your room, and we even got to go and watch Jency cook the amazing dinner one night. They offer great advice on what to see and do in the area and have bikes you can use to go and explore, or you can just sit back and relax by the pool or in a hammock. The beach is just a short walk away and they provide you with parasols and beach mats to sit on and there is a good selection of books if you want to read when there or swap one out. They really have thought of everything.

Peaceful retreat and a little bit of heaven in Marari Beach.

We have just finished our stay at Marari iDreamz Homestay with Allwyn and Jency. We have been here 5 days and only wish that we had longer,! Our welcome could not have been warmer by such a lovely young couple. Allwyn is full of local knowledge and gave us ideas on what to do during our stay.what ever we wanted he could help arrange. We stayed in coconut Villa, that had a lovely patio overlooking the tropical garden. The veranda was well shaded and cool, as was our room. Big room with good lighting and AC and fan. The open air bathroom was lovely with a shower. We can not recommend the food highly enough. Breakfast and dinner was brought to our veranda so we had private dinning overlooking the garden. The food was exceptional cooked by Jency and breakfast by Allwyn. Everything we had was very tastey, local and healthy! Fresh fruit juice, coffee, fruit plate, pancakes of differing types, and omelettes toast and jam. It kept us going until dinner. You can opt to eat in or go out. We ate in 2 of the 4 nights and it was a feast. Fish both evenings with rice, various vegetable dishes, breads, & all home made. The pool was a peaceful place to doze by and keep cool. We were a 5min walk from the beautiful Marari beach. Our lovely couple are here to please and provide what you need. A homestay that delivers excellent service, accommodation, fantastic food and a very warm welcome. You won’t be disappointed. We certainly were not! We will be back. An amazing home stay with stunning ambience. They serve customers with quality which others lack. We spent two weeks in Marari dreamz, those days were unforgettable. Swimming pool, garden, bike ride and delicious food. A place where everyone should visit and stay, good luck Marari Dreamz

Third time at Marari Dreamz. Unfortunately we could only stay for a month, and would have preferred at least two, to melt into the local environment. The food was spectacular, as usual, and I would suggest it is the best in India. The addition of the pools means that you can relax all day, without having to leave the home stay - which makes it all the easier to relax from the minute you arrive.

Last time I stayed, I received Ayurvedic treatment for three months and this time I returned for more. Highly recommended if you are staying for more than a couple of days, so ask Allwyn and Jency to arrange a consultation with the doctor, Ajita.

Marari Dreamz is truly a fabulous, friendly place and it isn’t hard to see why it was voted 5th best homestay in India, on tripadvisor. Can’t wait till we return again, next year.

Stayed for 1 week in march 2018. Lovely food, people and surroundings. Short walk down to the beach, easy travel to market, restaurants and sightseeing. Jency and Allwyn will make your plans come true. Book in advance and give them you plans, and they will arrange things for you. The villas/rooms are very beautiful, especially the outdoor bathroom. I had also a very good authentic ayurveda 5 day treatment, just a short walk from Marari Dreamz, ask Allwyn. I highly recommend both the doctor and the treatment. The pool was perfect for cooling down, I felt inspired so I made a painting there, and perfect furniture to read a book outside the Coconut Villas. You can easily book all the rooms for a big group, have the hole place for yourself. Happy holidays, and thank you again Jency and Allwyn
