I noticed vision problem in both eyes went to hospital they diagnosed as Macular Edema, have done laser treatment (4 times) but no permanent cure. So I came to Matha Ayurveda hospital and got improvement in my vision. All the doctors and staffs are friendly.

Recently I had a treatment for the ailment in my eyes at Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital Kudappanakunnu. I had spent 20 days of my life in this hospital. I met Dr Santhakumari (Dr S. K) and her professional team and I wish to share my experience with them for your benefit, if you I could experience the expertise and leadership of Dr SK being veteran in the field of ayurveda eye treatment. Whenever I was in contact with Dr SK I could sense depth of her knowledge and the Unique approach with patience blended with sense of humour, which was great relief for me as a patient. The young doctors with her reflected the excellence of their leadership. Apart from the doctors all the therapists, the catering crew and cleaning staff etc showed the professionalism in their respective fields which I came to understand was led by a true young professional (Dr SK’s son) which made my stay for 20 days the most memorable. The smile of all the staff were consistent throughout this period. The treatment was very effective as there was no compromise the team had shown in all aspects of treatment. From my experience I had with them, I can confidently assure that you are in safe and efficient hands at this hospital for your any ailments in your eyes, than other similar institution.

My father was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy and cateract in both years before 4 years. We consulted some famous eye clinics and almost took allopathy treatment for 2 years from one famous eye hospital in trivandrum. He took 4 injections which is very costly and no improvement in vision and ended up in losing 90% vision of one eye and other with 60% vision. After the injections his condition got worst and the doctors were not willing to do cataract surgery due to his diabetic retinopathy condition.we were almost lost hope.

I came to this hospital for my eye condition. Diagnosis is Optic Atrophy both eyes. My Right eye vision was almost nil and decreased vision in left eye when I approached this hospital. Good hospital in a most beautiful atmosphere. Every staffs are excellent. Got a better results in my vision status. Had an absolutely pleasant vacation of 14 days with my newly found friends, Dr Athira, Sumachechi and Sreekala chechi at Matha panchakarma centre. Daily entertainment programmes presented by Suma chechi and sreekala chechi (therapist) at the direction of Dr Athira include an hour of pounding me, followed by forcing me into the steam room and ending in me coming out rejuvenated. All thanks to Dr santhakumari, Dr Heera for guiding the panchakarma therapy which I suggest is a must for everyone at least once. Special thanks to Nandhini chechi (cleaning staff), Jaya chechi and Deepa chechi (Kitchen). The stay was pleasant and the staff friendly, turning it in to an amazing vacation.

I am under treatment of Matha Eye Hospital. Ambience of it is very supportive to the patients. It's noticeable that they're giving medicines manufactured there itself in the traditional way. Though it is early to make a comment on the status, I am satisfied with the way of treatment and very hopeful of seeing a positive outcome to my satisfaction.

I am a retired gazetted officer. I visited Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital with complaint of Diabetic Retinopathy. This hospital is suggested by one of our neighbour who took treatment from here.
We took appointment here for the 1 st time and met Santhakumari Madam. She explained detaily regarding my condition and the treatment modes that matha can give. As per her words, got admitted and started with treatments. Really i need to tell that each and every one in hospital will look after as their own family member. Dr. Athira will come with sweet smile every morning and will be taking morning rounds. Santhakumari Madam used to ask each and every changes that i feel after every treatment.

I visited Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital for the complaints of blurred and distorted vision. Initially few months back i had visited Chaithanya Hospital for the complaints of blurring of vision and they diagnosed Cataract, i underwent for the surgery. But there was not much improvement in the vision, not only that there started with distorted vision also. But the further visits to chaithanya doesnt made any further progress instead they diagnosed Macular Oedema + Diabetic Retinopathy, they suggested laser treatment.

My mother Smt. Suvarnakumari was admitted in Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital, Kudappanakunnu, Trivandrum recently for the treatment of her right eye sight. When I had a problem of vision in the left eye, I did not think twice to consult P K Shanthakumari madam of Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital, Kudappanakunnu. The reason is I had Macular degeneration in my right eye about 20 years back. I came to matha hospital to seek treatment for my son, who was having severe vision problem. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I had history of Astigmatism (Keratoconus) and after exhausting all avenues available in modern medicine l decided to opt for Ayurvedic treatment. After the inpatient treatment l experienced an appreciable change in my vision. Prior to treatment l found things like driving, reading etc not that comfortable. But now it has been a lot more comfortable.

I have taken treatment from Matha Eye clinic for Dryness and Floaters.it was not like a treatment, it was like a wellness treatment! We wont feel like that we are in a hospital, it was a homely environment there. The expertise of Dr. Santhakumari madam is well executed through the other doctors and therapists there. Dr. Athira is the play maker there. She will be always around us, monitoring the treatments procedures. She will make us 'feel free' to ask any concern we have, to share any discomfort, if any and will advise/guide us with all the details.the therapists Harikumar and Reju were very efficient and helpful. We wont feel bored even we need lie down, closing our eyes around 1 hour.they helped me not to sleep during such lengthy Dhara sessions! They, all, were very jovial, but at the same time very professionals too. We can see only smiling faces there including in the reception section. Another member there, who made my sessions happy was Dr. Varghese, a house surgeon. Seeing his attitude i thought he was there for so many years. I am an emergency medicine physician by profession and have been suffering from chronic back pain for years. Dr. Santhakumari Madam who is an experienced hand from Ayurveda College is the chief doctor. Dr. Athira takes care of patients both old and young alike with much compassion and love. House Surgeons Dr. Archana and Dr. Varghese are very friendly and responsible in carrying out their duties. The therapists are also very much caring and loving. Riju, Ananthu and Hari are the therapists who can make even the most difficult of treatments look like a walk in the park. The non technical staff are also very good. Eventhough the treatment takes a bit of time, it is very effective. I had a very good experience from treatments to the eye exercises. As it is said the medicines can cure the disease only, it is the doctor who cures the patient.

16 days of treatment for my eyes for diabetic retinopathy in matha didn’t make me feel that I’m away from my home rather it gave me a feeling that I’m at home far away from my home. I undergone 16 days of treatment for my eye in MATHA. It was a great experience being in this hospital where treatment you will feel betterment after each procedure. Doctors will be attending you almost every hour during their duty. Therapists posses good knack and healing touch. Smt Amthira doctor, will be always around for clearing any doubt and she will inform chief physician on real time basis.doctor Smt. Heera will be attending in the absence of other doctors or once in a while she will take stock of the treatment. Therapist Sri Riju and Hari are really good. Hari is an expert in doing nassyam and Riju is good at tharpanam.you will enjoy the treatment as a holidaying provided you like simple meals, however you may enjoy one glass of juice everyday. YOu will enjoy chitchatting with very limited patients in the evenings. It is better to have a radio with am/fm as you are deprived of watching TV and mobile.
