Food is awesome. Bought karimeen fry and prawns. Superb taste. We can feel that freshness of the fish. A must visit place for seafood. Service is also very good.

On the Guruvayoor we had our lunch here. 1 hour travel from Coimbatore to Meen chatti.worth travelling to taste the fish curry and fish fry with meals.

Seafood with classic malabar spread for lunch. Reasonably priced, plenty of car parking, by the Palakkad Cochin highway. Chatti choru with 14 accompaniants highly recommended! Delicious

We had a bad experience at this restaurant. For food, we can give. But staff service is very poor which includes poor communication, unnecessary delay and when we asked for a dish, they said it was finished and later we saw them delivering it to an another customer who came after us.

Good seafood restaurant. Make sure to enquire the price before ordering. Fish items are expensive but quality is uncompromised. They are open only for lunch

Highly recommended for sea food Kerala style. Should you prefer to come to Kerala via the Palghat route, you are definitely going to enjoy the scrumptious taste of fried fishes, prawns of various varieties.

I would recommend the meals served on plantain leaves and the prawns and fresh fried fishes to go with. Enjoy it with a mix of coke or sweet water.

This place I believe is run by an excellent team of women who just about any days out matches the regular restaurants in their customer service. They are the stars that make it happen. Long live their spirit!

It's a good highway stop for a Kerala Nom Veg meal! The Chatti Chor is innovative and must try. Not everyone may like it though. Ambience is below average

It is a very small establishment that provides good food at a very nominal price. I had ayila curry and rice. There were wide varieties of fish fry.

A lunch house with seafood speciality. They serve home cooked Kerala meals with both red matta rice and white ponni rice. Both veg and fish curry meals available. They serve yummy fish fries (only deep oil fry option available) of Seer fish, Pomfret, Chempalli, Manthal, etc. It's a house converted to a lunch home.
One star less for the amount of salt they use in the fish fry masala. Tell them to reduce the salt or else, fish fry will be served with too much salt.

Open only for lunch from 11: 30 AM to 04: 00 PM.
PS: Only veg/fish meals available. No chicken, mutton and other options.

The food was delicious, we have ordered chatti chor and crab roast, both was very tasty. It's a place for all seafood lovers and the taste of the food served was really good.hope to visit again the place.

Nothing special about this place, normal seafood restaurant, due to covid selection was limited. Probably it may improve in due course. Food taste was satisfactory nothing special.

Update: As per the reply of the owner, whether you or your family eats at your restaurant not bothers us. We value what we got. You told that i didn't shown the bill. From the previous experiences, i trusted your hotel for the food quality and that's why we visited there. Also, as i paid through card, i didn't got the bill but only the card payment receipt. We ordered thilopi fry. For the size, we could get it at much lower than what you offered. When we entered there for lunch, one of the person there showed us the varieties of fish in a plate that too kept open for a while. They didn't bother to tell us the rates when asked. So do you think that we have guess the price before ordering? Also purchasing fresh fish alone doesn't guarantee the quality, but the way you are cooking it concludes it. Still you think that i supposedly fabricated the review, then its time to reconsider your policies. Thank You

Delicious fish varieties. You can select after seeing the fish with masala and then order. They will fry for you. Apart from that you get veg side dish as well. Enough parking space for cars. 7 to 8 cars can be parked inside. And 4 cars can be parked outside the compound. The rice is also so good does not make your stomach gas. Altogether a good tasty restaurant with fresh fish. Though Palakkad does not have sea. The fishes are fresh

Food is good, a nice option for seafood (fish) on the Palakkad -Thrissur NH. Parking facility is there. Small but nice ambience as well but better ask for the price when you choose the fish as fish menu could be very costly in general.

We visited this restaurant for a lunch and felt as if a perfect place for seafood lovers. Varieties of seafood; prawn, fish curry, fish fries are served there. It's a house which was renovated to a restaurant. So don't expect it be A/c and cozy. Very courteous staff.

Meenchatti is budget dine centre for everyone who loves fish - fishes from sea, fishes from local ponds and fish from the farm. It is said to be best for lunch. Food is served with love and care in a home. The Hotel Meenchatti was a quite calm house converted in to dine centre. They provide spacious parking yard. We had good lunch there in air conditioned room with fried Snakehead murrel (Varaal) Red Snapper (Chempalli) Seer fish (Ayokora). Fish items were good with quality and quantity but they have give attention to the meals too.

We were waiting for seat did not get in time, after getting seat, we were told that you had to wait since rice was not ready, still under preparation. Funny thing is that each one consulting other whether again go prepare the rice for the waiting customer.we left the place with hungry and with great disappoint.it will spread a bad opinion about your shop even by mouth saying. It's situated on a service road of a flyover. They show you 4-5 marinated fish varieties to choose from (fry). Had fish curry meals (80rs), it was good. This place is for people who do not get homely prepared fish.

The place has a misleading 4.2 *. This is just a mess, cannot be called as a restaurant. There is only one person to serve 5 tables. The chudithar shawl of the serving lady swims in your food each time she serves. Menu and prices are not displayed, hence you cannot predict the final bill of the dishes. Overall it is just a mess experience. Not worth of your time.

My review is based on my experience at this place.

Staff service is very poor. I have been there with a foreign guest. There was an AC hall but they didn't let me know that there is an ac hall.
I have asked them to reserve a table and they said will reserve but had to wait till others finish the lunch.

Cleanliness is very poor. The fowl smell of fish was everywhere. No exhaust fan nor they dont even open the windows.

Food: you have various options but its bit costly.

Best place for fish food in town hands down. Meals was also very nice. I've travelled a lot, this place becomes one of my favourites.

One of the best fish meals I have had. Friendly staff as well. I was passing by palakkad and I happened to come to this place. The staff explained all what was available and suggested the best thing to have. I really enjoyed it.

Stopped by here on the way back from kerala on a Sunday after realising quite a few restaurants on the road were shut.
They had an overall sumptuous meal with some good meat and fish. We had a pomfret and a slice of king fish. The pomfret was quite fresh but can't say the same about the king fish - it tasted alright but was definitely no lt as fresh.
The service was good and special mention on the patience to deal with a hungry group of people who couldn't make up their minds on what they wanted to eat!

Went there for the first time tonight (@9: 45, they have started serving at night till 11), had my mind = blown by the Silopia fry and chemmeen with idiyappam, kappa and mulakitta kari, some lime and kattan to complement the spicy! It is legit yum! Consider this: It is Palakkad and it is almost 10 night! Very reasonable rates, only 500.

Superb choice for healthy food. As it is situated beside the NH 544, it's so accessible for everyone who travels through there. The restaurant is owned & managed by some ladies (housewifes). Though it's assured you get really a homely food. You get most of traditional kerala fish recipes here. Rates are economical too. The interios is also homely. They have a spacious parking area which is really an added benefit.

A small restaurant specialized in sea food dishes. I visited the place for lunch. The lunch was served on banana leaf with a moderate number of side dishes and two types of fish curries, a dessert which is moderately charged at Rs. 80/-. If you want fried fish you can choose from the tray presented while you take seat and will be charged extra depending on the size and type of your selection. However the prices seem to be moderate. Apart from fish, chicken and meat dishes are also available to choose from. The place is a two storied house turned into a restaurant and they’ve kept it as it is, with out making any alterations or refurbishing. The staff are friendly and courteous. The taste of the food is just average, nothing worth mentioning.

Good homely atmosphere. Many varieties of fresh seafoods. They serve food in a friendly manner. It's bit expensive but affordable.

I had gone with my parents on a weekday night. Most of the items on menu was not available. We ate a fish meal and ordered fried fish that was one of the few items available. Food served was cold including rice, vegetables and rasam. Vegetables also had a stale smell to it. They charged an exorbitant price to the fish, it was tasty but not certainly worth the price. The fact that this special menu items do not have a price, gives advantage to such people. Suggestion: Ask the price for special items before you order. Would not go again there.
