Mehrab Mandi Yemeni Restaurant

The food preparation method has changed I was loving everything about this restaurant but now it's like the normal mandi available everywhere else I feel.

I hope they will improve shortly when I am visiting next time.
So i can have the authentic cuisine.

Comparatively the quality and taste of food compared to other Yemeni or mandhi shops not good as the service and athmosphere i tried the chicken varieties normal mathi is quite okay madfoona is a gravy not suggested, if no way then mazbi is good option to have.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mehrab Mandi, and I was very impressed. I ordered the Chicken Mandi, Mandi Lamb Haneeth Ribs and Haneeth Shoulder, which is a traditional Yemeni dish of rice and lamb that is slow cooked in a tandoori oven. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The dish was also served with a variety of delicious condiments, including yogurt, chutney, and salad.

A negative thing ai encountered was the service. We ordered the Kunafa and the said wait time was 10 mins. It was given after 30 mins. Even though there wasn't any rush during that time, such a delay is not acceptable.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at Mehrab Mandi. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Yemeni dining experience.

The place and theme is very good. Food is excellent. Loved every thing that we ordered. The service is also good. Make sure you reserve a table, especially on weekends. Otherwise the place is very very noisy. Enjoy the food and ambience

A paradise for NON veg lovers.
Ambience is very middle eastern.
As soon as you settle down, you are served hot mutton stalk soup.
They have a good variety of kebabs.they serve the softest mutton ever.
There's not much for vegetarians.

The most authentic Yemeni cuisine you can taste in Calicut. Their Mutton mandi and Kunafa are to die for. Even quarter portion is more than enough for 2 persons. There is ample dining area with normal tables, semi enclosed areas and Majlis seating. Don't forget to taste their Kahwa tea which helps to balance out the heavy food. Since there are only limited items in the menu, there is not much waiting time. Good for family or groups. Definitely recommended.

I was in bahrain for two and half years. I used to have the real manthi from there. I don't really like to eat manthi with mayonnise. (Kerala desi manthi). Fnally i could taste the real manthi from here and this one is gold

The best mandi in Calicut, especially their mutton mandi. Amazing ambiance and outstanding hospitality, well trained employees, good parking space. Im 100% satisfied with food, it comes in great quantity and quality at the same time. Its a bit expensive but every Penny is worth spending.

The Chicken & Mutton are good but the Rice quality & taste has degraded in comparison to what i ate 5 months ago. I revisited this place with full of excitement but had to leave half heartedly due to the degradation of taste.

A restaurant of extra high standards. As the name suggests, this is an absolute Arabian restaurant in all its aspects. You can have a variety of arabian dishes like Mandi, Mazbi, Kunafa etc. The ambience too, is much like an Arabian restaurant, with a lot of Majlis, lot of Arabian visitors etc. The food is of Yemeni standards and is very delicious, and you can avail unlimited soup, rice, salads and tea. The service is excellent, and you have 'call bells' to call the waiters. The restaurant is very neat and is calm. There is ample parking space in front of the restaurant, with security surveillance. Totally saying, an outstanding restaurant!

Amazing experience. From the very first moment to the last, we were enjoying the place, the ambience, food and service. All the majlis are very hygienic, conveniently lighted and personalized. The yemeni cuisine is interesting. Got to visit there again very soon

Good and tasty food offered in a very peaceful and ambient atmosphere. Service by the staff is appreciable and good. It’s better to get in the Majlis for some privacy if one wishes so. The Yemeni cuisine is not really like the Arabic but with some similarities. It is a nice place to explore these cuisines at an affordable cost.

First time ever trying Yemeni Cuisine. Had Chicken Mandi and the Kunafa desert. Serving included Mutton Soup and Salad. All were wonderful dishes. Option for Unlimited rice along with Half Plate and Full plate Mandi. Loved the ambience and also friendly nature of staff and management.

Looking forward to more visits and also try out the Mutton and Fish Mandi.

Perfect ambience to have arabic food with much better side dishes and the place is so spacious and calm. Free Starter is also served to all which has an unique mix of flavors.

Nice place for family and friends, the place have several majilis type rooms to eat, chicken and mutton mandi's tasted very good and their hospitality was outstanding, But the only one thing that the rates are little more than ordinary restaurants mandi

I ll give it 5 stars for the aroma and the ambience that gives it an Arab touch.
The rice was definitely something unique that I ve tried so far among the Arab cuisine that's available in Kerala.
The kunafa although heavy on the pocket is worth a try.
Not many stuff on the menu, but I think they ve done justice to whatever there's on the offer.

One of the best yemani mandhi served in Calicut, you could feel the vibe same as having from Dubai or some middle east countries.

I went there for ifthar cudnt get the majlis due to rush only got tables. The ambience is superb servce is gud en the food is really tasty. Thier kunafeh is a must try dont forget to pour the ghee on it. By writing itself am drooling its simply tatsy. Best yemenite restaurant ever. I would recommend everyone to try atleast once

Had chicken mandhi. Its good. More to the authentic side. So if you are a big fan all those masala mandhi which you get in calicut, you may not like it. Tried kunafa too (little expensive) but it was my first time and i always wanted to try it, surprisingly it didn't put me down. So it was good.

You get complementary salad, soup and Black tea, which is a good thing to have especially having tea after the mandhi.

Have to mention the ambience. It's sets the mood. They have both majlis and table dining.

Overall its a good place to dine with family and friends.

The course starts with Laham maraq (Mutton soup) and salad.
Mutton soup has a special flavour and tastes best when mixed with shatha ahdur (green chutney). The salad consist of cucumber, onion and jerjeer (Rocca leaves).
Jerjeer tastes best when dipped in shatha (red chutney).
After the main course of chicken mandhi, sulaimani is served which has some 'secret spices' according to the chef.

Kunafa is a dessert which is also a must try.
It has cheese cream from Al Marai creams with vermicelli and saffron.

Besides this Yemeni cuisine restaurant has many other specialities.

Very bad experience, ever had from a restaurant in calicut, highly priced, poor taste, misleading staff, while placing the order, as they think, people not aware of arabian cuisine. It was a total tragedy with mehrab mandi.lost money.

Fantastic atmosphere and really good service staff. I'm amazed at their hospitality, kudos to the person who brought all the necessary ingredients to create a fantastic culinary experience at KOZHIKODE.

Obviously bad.because todays experience its too bad to i have to remember "iam order their special mandi but they served like how we can serve a guest their welcome soup absolutely super one time you can taste its touchs in your heart but today they served first time relectently but second time when we ask them to serve the rice they are excused because there rice are already empty
. I cant enquired what was the reason.its not to time argue but today is the precious ifthaar day.
But its too bad behaviour to the customer they are irresponsible to how we can serve and take joy from the people. They are nothing to say for this incident some people there harassing the management becouse there are to come there for the ifthaar but they dont serve them what the belly want
You have to improve how you can keep serve and bother about the customer because its give and take.
