Menani Restaurant

Food was not tasty and service was worst. The chicken chettinadu was half cooked and very spicy. Even veg khurma was not tasting good. After having food we had to wait for 20 mins to get the bill!

My wife and I are visiting. We ha gone on a canal cruise. Our driver brought us to this place for lunch. I order a chicken dish and my wife ordered egg dish. The chicken was amazing. The parata were the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.

For non vegetarian it's good place. Fresh fish and local Kerala taste is delecious. Not tried vegetarian.

Don't trust reviews. Honestly it's one the good restaurants you visit in kumarakom. Pepper chicken curry, Kerala parota are the good ones. Paneer dhaba is excellent

I with my wife, son and daughter in law had gone for a dinner on 14april by 9.30pm.at that time not a single customer was in the Restaurant. We ordered one mushroom tikka and one paneer masala and steam rice, rumal roti etc and shared. In reaching home, two of us started getting stomach pain, vomitting and loose motion. And they are not yet ok even after 24 hours and they are under medication. Seems the mushroom and paneer served were very old stock giving chance for infection. So, if anybody is planning to go there for dinner, donot eat these two items.

Pathetic food and pathetic service, Don't Stop there for food.there are many restaurants nearby. The quality of food and Service is hectic. They are given some rice which is cooked in a cooker and named it as Mandhi. Restaurants look good outside and inside. But just look.

I had squid roast, tomato rice, Kerala porotta and bbq. Squid roast was really really bad. Don't waste money buying that dish those people don't know what is roast and curry.

Worst experience ever had with a restaurant. Irresponsible management. Worst behavior from employees. Food was bad. Delayed service and after half an hour of waiting they cancelled items saying they are no longer available

Awesome food. Hot and tasty to the max. Lots of seating room. Great place whether alone or with friends and family. A hit with everybody.

Fish curry was just average and with rice, tea and lassi I paid like 650 INR. A little bit too much for this quality of food.

Oh my God! We were told that we would not find good veg food in kumarakoram. But we will never forget this restaurant. I love masala papad have had it at many places. But the taste of masala papad in Menani is still fresh in my mind. The service, kerala thali, masala papad, paysam everything was amazing. The food was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed eating here and highly recommend this place! ALSO, the prices are very budget friendly.

Had fish curry meals, which tasted good and priced reasonably.
Ordered karimeen fry which we didn’t like much, not at all spicy, no salt or chilly. Felt like eating raw fish fry without any masalas on it. Pricing of karimeen is also expensive, but not worth the price.

Good place for authentic kerala food if you are staying at the Taj and want to have a change from the daily food at the Taj. Lots of variety of kerala food in terms of non veg.

Don't get fooled with the ambience and its look! Nothing is worth the price, the food taste was pathetic and all fishes we ordered tasted bitter and very blunt. One piece of fish was 600 rupees, which wasn't worth at all and we ordered 5 pieces and all tasted horrible. They think they are providing 5 star range dishes but only the prices are like that, biryani was not cooked well.

Service was very pathetic, we had to wait for 10 mins for one raita and extra gravy.

They only need money and don't care about the quality of food, taste of it, and the services they provide.

One thing was really good here that is "Water" that too bottled water.

Very nice place. Fish fry (nayimeen) cost me around 450 rs and curry @450 rs, but it was worth the price. 3 of us had lunch and the bill was around 1350rs. I was with my family, it was neat clean. They where happy.

Extremely horrible experience.ordered chapathi which tasted sour.we brought it to their notice which was not at all addressed waited 20 mints hoping replacement but nobody came and we asked for the manager to which they replied that manager was not there. The staffs, they are extremely rude and not at all responsive especially the lady staff. They don't provide most of the items listed on menu card.waste of money and time.

Ordered Pepper Chicken, Chicken Chilly fry n Kerala Poratha. No rush there but Food arrived after 35 minutes. Food quality was average. After finishing food, we had to wait 15 minutes for bill payment.

I had ordered biriyani and it was very oily and did not taste good. Me and my husband didn't even finish the food and wasted more than half of the biriyani. Even though they took some time in bringing in the food, it was not hot. The fried onions on top of the biriyani was cold. The only positive I felt was the hotel was clean and spacious.

Restaurant staff did not host their customers, made us wait 20 minutes and no one has even taken any orders yet. Service needs improvement. Period!

Had very bad experience. Food is not worth the price. Also food is not fresh as well. Service was very bad. I never had an experience like this. We didn't even get a glass of water

Service was very poor. We gave order and had to wait for almost an hour, and most of the items were not even available.

The person who took our order never came back to provide the status of where our food is. Food was also not that great.

Service needs improvement!

Good ambience but poor service. Waited long for 2 curries finally provided with a cold chicken curry. The restaurant was nearly empty but I didn't understand why they made us wait to provide a cold curry. Lime juice was pathetic but they reduced its bill after we complained. Taste also seems to be average. Can improve a lot.

We have had lunch quite some times.they serve fresh food.but you may have to wait half hour for just a lime juice

Please avoid at all costs. The service is better anywhere else. We waited for 20 minutes and they did not even take our order. What a waste of time. They did not ask us anything as we left. Unprofessional team

Food is great, very yum. We tried the meals and every curry was yum but the service is not up to the level. Lesser number of staffs.

Some mixed reviews here at either end of the extreme. Well, we had such a lovely meal, we came back on our way to the airport for another. The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating to one of us with regards to dietary requirements. The fisherman's meal was utterly delicious - loved the mussels and the anchovies (Keralan boquerones fritos, if you will!) especially and the pomfret marinated and cooked in leaf to flaky perfection. Top parathas.

We were staying at a nearby resort where the food was pretty good, but this unassuming place topped almost every meal we had there. Overseas tourists - don't be shy!

Worst service ever! Waited for an hour and was about to leave. Then they gave tasteless saltless food. Missed our fish order too due to carelessness. Rate high. Not worthy

Not at all recommended. Food was not tasty and atmosphere was not hygienic, Flies all around. Biryani they prepared, chicken and rice they mix without proper gravy. They don't have any card payment options too.
