A beautiful homestay located right opposite a coffee estate. Perfect for a quiet time. Sujatha is a wonderful host whose enthusiasm is contagious and she can also help with the itinerary. Pet friendly space is a further plus point. Also they have a good collection of linen in their shop worth checking it out.
My partner and I stayed here a couple of years ago and realized tonight that we never sent the review we meant to. This place was just the perfect cozy, clean, quiet place to stay but the best part was the kindness of the owners. We were heading out early in the morning for a long bus ride and were rather clueless about the way the public bus hours worked. When we came down to the front desk to ask for advice, Sujatha told us that we wouldnt find breakfast at that hour and welcomed us into her kitchen and made us a plate of idiyappam that she was making for her husband Murali. She made us feel so welcomed and cared for, like we were family. Sorry we're so late sending this review!
It would take a 5* hotel to find a comparable degree of warmth and hospitality offered to us by the owner, Suchara (probably ungraciously misspelled here), except at Mickeys it's genuine. The rooms are clean, the balcony is relaxing and the artwork around the upstairs courtyard is tasteful. We had several tours and activities all booked from the homestay which were all excellent. There are a few decent restaurants around the immediate area if you don't wish to venture into the relative madness of Kumily, although it's worth checking out.
