Misty Mountain Experience (Teyla)

Ambience and building was awesome. But service and food quality was just average. It is better to try desi or nadan items. Disappointed.

Stay in Misty Mountain was very good as surrounded by natural beauty. Specialy chirping of birds near to the cottage attracts more apart from other beautiful sights.

Nice ambience, parking is available, you can buy premium tea powder from here. Snacks are bit costly.but ambience and service is good.

The atmosphere and the ambience of the restaurant is really good and one of the best restaurants available in that area. But the food is average it's okay. The service is very late and there is no coordination, after ordering the food they were asking each table is this your order. You should have numbering for each table. The main issue i felt there is the restroom, it is not good the water is leaking at many areas and it is not clean as well. As the restaurant is mostly used by travellers you should have a proper and clean restroom to help the customers.

The service rendered by their waiters is very poor, they don't even care to attend to their guests, I would advise you to never stop if you are looking for a quick bite.

We visited Misty Mountain Plantation in June 2023, during our annual India visit from the US. Perfect place to enjoy the monsoon season in Kerala. Truly amazed by the hospitality of the staff - in particular Sanjith, the property manager, Albin, tea factory tour guide, Amal, our jeep tour guide. Everything had an elegant touch. The stay was memorable, and the location was perfect. Food was amazing. My kids and we really liked the jeep tour and the tea factory tour. Saw one of the best waterfalls in Kerala that is within the property. Highly recommend. We'll visit again, for sure.

Let's start with the good things. The restaurant's food was really impressive. They had a wide variety of delicious dishes that were prepared with great care. From the appetizers to the main courses and desserts, every bite was full of amazing flavors. The chefs did a fantastic job, and I was really impressed with the high quality of the food.

The restaurant's atmosphere was also really nice. The inside was decorated tastefully, creating a warm and welcoming feeling. The lighting and decor added to the charm, making it a great place for a cozy dinner or hanging out with friends. The staff members were friendly and helpful, which made the dining experience even better.

However, there were a couple of things that could be improved. The waiting time for the food was longer than expected. Even though the food eventually came and it was delicious, waiting for a long time did affect the overall experience, especially for people who have limited time.

Another disappointment was that the restaurant didn't provide internet access. Nowadays, many people rely on staying connected, so it would be nice if they offered internet to their customers. I understand that it may not be their policy, but it's something they could consider to improve the overall customer experience.

I recently had the opportunity to visit this place with a good view, accompanied by great food. While I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience overall, I was left disappointed by the behavior of the front desk staff, specifically regarding their refusal to charge my laptop.

Let's start with the positives. The food at this restaurant was delicious. The menu featured a wide variety of options from appetizers to desserts, the culinary experience was truly memorable.

Another highlight of this establishment was its breathtaking view. It was strategically located, providing patrons with an awe-inspiring vista of the surrounding landscape. The view added an extra layer of charm to the dining experience.

Unfortunately, I must address the front desk behavior, which left a sour note in an otherwise delightful experience. When I approached the front desk to charge my laptop, I was met with an unhelpful and dismissive response. The staff outright refused to assist me, citing an unclear policy or simply stating that charging laptops was not allowed. This lack of flexibility and accommodation was disheartening, particularly considering the otherwise positive aspects of the establishment. I didn't receive any suggestions or alternative solutions for this even though it was important.

It's essential for any establishment, especially one with such a stunning view and delectable food, to provide exceptional customer service. A refusal to address a basic need like charging a laptop detracts from the overall experience and can leave a lasting negative impression on customers.

In conclusion, while I had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and an incredible view, the front desk staff's behavior regarding the laptop charging request was disappointing. I hope the establishment takes this feedback constructively and addresses this aspect to ensure a more well-rounded experience for future customers and come with charged phones and laptops.

Food was nice except for the heavy rush and non availability of tables.no booking of tables was allowed and you have to keep watching like a dog behind the table while some is having their lunch-not a good experience.reminded me of some local hotels (meen kada) in chala market where people will be behind you for the seat while you have your lunch

Visited the restaurant there.pathetic service.we had to keep on waving at the staff there for very item and wait till they see us.there were not even Ready to clean the table floor which was dirty and offered to move to a table which didn't have a fan since that was easier for them. Food was ok.not worth the ambiance which kind of automatically attracts is to this place.the restaurant should really amp up their service since the entire experience and customer's mood is affected.

It is a great restaurants, delicious foods but the restaurant is managed very poorly being on a main connecting highway they refuse to give food if u come by 3 pm and on my first visit they said it was weekend and i was like okay after two days I visited during weekdays around 2: 35 and they still said like we have only meals options and we don't have anything else. Being on a highway i don't understand how they want people to visit before 3 for lunch.pls fix this issue it is a really bad thing

Good food, good ambience and there is EV charging. Its a bit crowded and there is delay in custom orders, but the food is great.

Warm hospitality in a cool location. Good food and exceptionally clean washrooms. A good selection of teas, from their own factory, just a few meters away.
It is easy to drive in, serves regular food without fancy frills at affordable rates too

We ordered tea and pazhampori. Tea not so good, but okay. Staff behaviour is nice. Good interior and parking facility. But products are over priced

Stopped at their restaurant for breakfast. The set up is nice. Food is OK. No salt in the bhaji served with poori. Nice ambience

One of the best resorts I have visited till now. The manager and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the tea plantations and lakes and feel the cool breeze. The location of our wooden chalet was absolutely perfect. A very good place to relax and chill. One of the very few resorts which provides free wifi. Hence reliable for people who wants to do work from home. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. I must say the location of the resort is at best place.

I had a great time at this resort. Well maintained and clean rooms. Enjoyed the outdoor activities such as kayaking, fishing, spice garden walk. View from the top of the hill was spectacular. All staff member behaviour was friendly and helpful.

Great place with restaurant facility. Surrounded with tea plantation. Retail outlet has a neat and standard toilet facility and good collection of tea powder. Loved the place.

I've not seen a resturent in Kerala with these type of untrained staff. Even the so called "Tattukada's" in Kerala are having fair customer service than this.

Gone in for lunch, but came out with a coffe.

Served by a waitor named Jose, Who might fit for a security job rather than a waitor. This guy requires a real training for his attitude standardization, when taking the orders or talking to the customers.

Can't comment about the food. Since don't have any.

Calm location which provides in house activities like cycling, trecking, jeep safari.
Have two restaurants with north Indian and Continental foods.
Good service and well behaved staffs.

Misty Mountain is the best spot for ever in my life. Main thing the hospitality isn’t doing the guys is mostly awesome work.
Also the food is Most delicious food.

Visited the Teyla Restaurant, Experience yourself: - -The WORST costumer service.
-Undercooked food (Tandoor Chicken and Kebab)
-The Unavailability of Tea/coffee after 5pm (which is like the main thing costumers would except on a cold day)

Pros:

Excellent Ambience and Access from road. (Doesn’t matter since the food, especially the undercooked tandoor ones and with the worst Customer Service)

Went there along with my extended family enroute parunthumpara. The property is situated in the middle of tea plantation. One can go on a guided tour of plantation and factory area. We had pre booked for our non veg meals. I recommend you to try this. Fresh, hygienic and very tasty. Location is A1, Hospitality superb and ambience great. A must visit place if you are nearby

Enjoyed the misty weather and a hot cup of tea. When the fog was blown up by the wind it was a nice chill feel. The tea tasted good and the ambiance inside was outstanding

Good resturant with clean and tidy places.

One of the few restaurants with clean and spaces wash area and toilets.

Taste side, not the best compared to the nearby restaurants.

Visited Misty Mountains last week.

Just loved the ambience and the staff over there are very friendly. Their service is excellent and are always there to assist.

The complimentary breakfast was great and had lots of varieties. Even their other restaurant Teyla served good food and we all loved it.

Talking about the place, its very huge and I am sure birdlovers would love it. Lots of greenery and the place is well maintained.

I went there for my anniversary and they gave us a cake as gift which was a very good gesture.

Would definitly plan a visit again with my family.

Restaurant looks good! But food is too expensive and not worth for that cost: (. But the ambiance and service is good ':)

We went around 4 pm, the atmosphere and the way they maintain the area are all fantastic. We will book for our next holiday. It has an EV charging area also. The restaurant is unique in that locality. All should try it.

Poor Quality of service.waited for almost 30 minutes for some one to notice us and take order. Took another 30 minutes for the food to get Served. Food is too costly and quantity is too less.

An absolutely perfect place for a rendezvous with nature. Loved the nature walk and layout of the place. Missed the waterfall that we heard is delightful. There is a restaurant with barbecue opposite the property which has good food

I can’t believe that a place in Kerala has such mesmerising beauty, space lush greenery, mist during the rainy seasons and yet very private. It’s is like walking in the clouds. I enjoyed the newly opened restaurant with some amazing food and a complimentary chocolate brownie. Situated in a small town of Kuttikanam the walk inside the resort and around the place is a refreshing trek.

This is beautiful place to visit. I’ll explain all I get know here.

Jeep Safari: First we went for a Jeep Safari thorough this estate. In this safari he showed us a view point which was beautiful. If you reach this view point just before sunrise, the you can different angles of sunrise. After this the guide took as through various parts of this estate and showed various factories and godowns here.

Nature walk: Opt this even if your lazy to walk. The guide will take a walk through this estate, show us different plants and tell some history of this place and ammachi kottaram. The bonus that you will get is, you can pluck some fresh fruits from this place and eat.

Food: We had a lunch buffet, the items were limited but each and every items were good. I’m not comparing this with high class hotel, because we are not here to just have food.

We couldn’t watch tea factory as it was closed (It will be closed on public holidays).
Bamboo rafting is closed for around one year, as there is no person to maintain this.

Overall I recommend this place for half day and spend rest half day to places like Pattumala church, Parunthen para, Panchali medu

Nicely managed plantation resort in Kuttikkanam.

This place misses the wow feeling, but still has memorable views and moments with it. Rooms felt worth, hygienic and good looking.we, four families with many kids spent two days and one night at this resort. We had a nature walk with Mr Amal in the morning was informative and felt the warmth of kuttikkanam. Off road Jeep trip is not to the mark, but okay for the kids. Restaurant offers coffee, snacks, but the dinner chicken curry was little spicy, vegetable curry tasted the chutney of breakfast. Restaurant in the making seems to be more appealing, where we spent cultural activities of our juniors.thanks to misty mountains

Amazing place. Property has over a 1000 acres with tea plantations, check dams, waterfalls. It's a paradise! Food and accommodation are normal but the nature experience is outstanding

Excellent place. Nice and friendly staff. It's a perfect place to unwind and relax in the lap of nature. Resort and the tea estate itself is a place worth a visit with its high scenic view point, water bodies and the splendid flora.

Wonderful ambiance to take break and spend with nature, their coffee plantation tour is never to be missed

Misty mountain resorts is located in Kuttikkanam, the gateway to the high ranges of Kerala. It's quite a nice and beautiful resort, with beautiful and spacious rooms, which we can choose according to our budget. All the rooms offers a comfortable stay and a view of the beautiful greenery around. They offers activities like trekking, tea factory visit, nature walk etc, which is quite enjoyable, and offers an opportunity to experience the nature in close proximity. At this time of the Year, in early April, which the weather is at its testing maximum, and humidity levels have been at its peak, as the name suggests, there's mist and due here and offers a comfortable and cool atmosphere; a total escape from the rest of lowland Kerala. Altogether time and money worth spend.

Upscale plantation resort with tea factory. Good to industry visit for students and a good tourism surrounding.

Excellent place for nature lovers. I stayed there for a night with family and had a very nice experience. Well maintained place and very friendly staffs. Ofcourse one day is not enough to explore that 600 acres nature experience.

Situated at kuttikkanam which is 36 kilometers to thekkady and 24 kilometers to wagamon hill station.
