Its an overhyped place. According to me it is not satisfaction. Its a blend of too much sour and salt. I will never recommend this place to anyone

Totally lived up to the hype. Been meaning to try it for a long time and wasnt let down. Great taste and friendly service.

It's good drink and please avoid over expectation on these. Even I felt it's a common drink avilable in every where. During summer it's a good drink.

Motherland masala soda! With Velliangiri chettan's touch of love. Is a total YUM, if you are from palakkad town or if you have ever been there, this is a must try gastronomic liquid. It's thick buttermilk blended with local spices and flushed in soda, it is real treat for your gut.the location is quite tricky in the busy market so I suggest the best time to visit would be post 9pm, with less market rush.

This was a refreshing experience. Reminded us of trivandrum style moru with added soda. Was very refreshing.

Tried this awesome Palakkad Motherland Masala Soda.

The owner Shri Velangiri started this 45 years back. USP is the secret concoction - a mix of Buttermilk, Ginger, Pepper, Chillies and many other digestive stuff.

He carefully adds Half of this concoction in half a bottle of Soda.

Says with great pride that he hasn't done Franchising yet and does his business through the same small original Store.

His smile and courteous nature will prompt you to never stop at one Soda and you will be left drooling to taste a second one immediately.

Very tasty, spicy masala soda available in market road. Owner is absolutely gem of a person and a very friendly person. Was absolutely pleased to and talk to him. Loved it.

We tried this Masala soda after having NMR Biriyani.
The ingredients used as masala is pure and organic.
The taste is absolute and very good for digestion.

Small shop but the taste was good. It tasted like sambhara soda. The price was rupees 20 per soda. Compared to the next shop vending masala soda mother land's soda was mild and on hygienic bottle.

A small shop which offers a soda mixed with thier own masala mix. Its a unique blend of buttermilk, ginger, lemon, lemon leaves, pepper etc. It should be good for digestion related issues. They prepare their own soda and masala mix. Its a 40 year old shop within big bazar palakkad, situated near police quarters.

Best place to have the traditional Masala soda. It's one of the popular hopping station in Palakkad for all the wanderers. Recently Ashish Vidhyarthi has visited while his way to visit his friends and exploring Palakkad. They have two flavours available, one with Normal soda other with lemon soda. I have started drinking from this Shop the price was just 5Rs. Now the price is 15Rs. They have other small snack items like, Murukku, Cheeda, Thatta etc. Even they have kept Ganesh Pickle as an additional business for outsiders to get the authentic Palakkad style Pickle.

Like famous Calicut’s Milk Sharbath and Kochi’s Kulki Sharbath Palakkad also having a unique drink which is called as Masala Soda. This one drink considered as healthy soda drink which contains chilli, ginger, curd and some secret masala mix. Palakkadans claim that this one is very good for digestion and alternative Green Tea after your heavy fooding. Usually this joint will open till late nights, people ride to Market (Palakkad Angadi) for having this one. During Ramdan times this one saves digestion issues occured during fasting times. People buys during Iftar time. Last more than a decade this place serves consistent in taste and quality. Best part sodas are made by this shop itself.
