Booked a Glamping Room and was not at all disappointed. Excellent service and amenities inside the resort. They can improve in the food section as the buffet items were of average taste. Also room services for Glamping rooms should also be there.

A must visit to this resort for all kinds of fun, relaxing and a satisfactory treatment. Excellent hospitality. Our family holiday trip was worthwhile and a memorable one. Thank you Team!

The resort is one of the best place, though it may sound it's away from the city it's not very yet offers the best of best view.

V had a memorable stay at this ideal place. The location of MX is perfect for a peaceful & relaxed stay. V had occupied the kings cliff.the view was just mesmerizing. Each and every place in d resort is well crafted and is a piece of art.

The room v stayed was spacious & clean.
Food was yummy. Still cherishing the authentic/local cuisine. Aapam with stew, putti, steamed banana, Ella ada, variety of pickles (10 varieties probably). Can't forget that taste. Ofcourse.they did provide with multi cuisine.
Have to mention about the campfire and the music. Appreciate the singer who sang some lovely old hindi, tamil and kannada songs.
On d whole, a complete package to relax and enjoy d nature. To get rejuvenated.

The views from the resort are simply unbelievable. We were fortunate enough to see sunsets on both the days we were there from their sunset viewpoint.

Great location, Fantastic view, wonderful staff and exceptional food. The property is well maintained and has a lot of activities. The staff and management are always willing to help. Good spa and restaurant as well. Chef sajit makes exceptional food and also willing to accomodate requests from the guests.

Our stay at Mount Xanadu was one of the most memorable moments for us. This was our first time for a group of eight in Wayanad and Mount Xanadu. It’s hard to describe how good our 2-night stay was - it was that superb! The Reception, Restaurant, Security Staff, Management were so guest focused that they take care of the minutest details with a smile on their faces.

Location - on Cheengeri Hills. 10/10
Scenery - breathtaking. 10/10
Food and Facilities - very nice. 10/10
Resort staff - too good. 11/10 (11 is not a typo)

Excellent location of the property with well behaved staff and super hospitality. The property is very beautiful at top of the mountain, clean and well maintained. 5 stars to the chef, exception food, try thr crabs, prawns and fish, it was too yum. Loved every moment of my stay. Mount Xanadu was probably the best resort location in Wayanad. Perched 3000ft above sea level one would get an awesome panoramic view of the scenic town. There are a few vista points in the resort that also is great for viewing sunrise and sunset.
The resort is not like a hotel with 100s of rooms, instead only 14 rooms (ours was poolside scenic view room which I recommend) and a great outdoor space with plenty of colorful vegetation.
The service provided by every member of the staff was top notch - very courteous, hospitable and they took care of our needs immediately.
One of the best attributes of this resort is the food. There are not many eateries/restaurants within the town that would work for everyone, especially if you are from another country. We had resort food for all 3 meals (carry out during day trips). Exec chef Shajith prepares some outstanding food - both quality and variety each day so one never has a jaded apetite. The food is so fresh it is evident from the taste and presentation. They also have a hot dosa/appam, and omelette stand every day. I will be remiss if I don't mention the restaurant staff who were top class and gracious in their service throughout.

All in all a great place to stay and we wouldn't have minded just relaxing in the resort all 3 days.

We (a group of 2 families with 2 kids and an infant) stayed in Mount Xanadu for 3 nights during our visit to Wayanad. This resort is highly recommended if you are looking for a family or friends stay place at a convenient location. The rooms had breathtaking views overlooking mountains and dams. Sunrise and sunset views were some of the best I have been to in my life. Spacious clean rooms, great staff with friendly service, live music during dinner, free buffet breakfast and dinner (covers both Indian and continental), children's play area, infinity pool, an ayurvedic massage centre and spa inhouse etc.are just some of the starters in this location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our kids also loved the place and we will be coming back for sure.

First impression of the resort as you enter is beautiful.located on top of a hill, hidden gem surrounded by greenery and nature around, then coming to the staff.i have stayed in lot of 5 star properties but never met more courteous and polite staff then Mount Xanadu.they are so amazing and professional and goes out of length to assist you in anything.they have good local food in buffet everyday, along with the live karaoke by this amazing singer. Rooms are spacious with great view. Over all had an amazing experience in Wayanad all thanks to the super sweet & amazing staff from reception to house keeping to restaurant to even there security guard made our stay memorable. Anyone visiting Wayanad must book a stay in Mount Xanadu.

The food was delicious. Staff was friendly and co operative. Location was awesome. It was all into natures arms. Very peaceful and quiet place. The rooms are very nicely maintained. Trekking inside the property, games for all are also there.

It’s so amazing experience staying in mount Xanadu. The environment so soothing and relaxing. I would suggest this place for everyone with different age groups. Sight seeing is so worth that it bring great inner peace and this place is definitely the one for escaping the hustle life. Last but not the least the hospitality is so good especially Fayas and Athira is so polite and the interns and well-mannered and made us feel homely during the entire stay.

Really excellent resort to stay. Well maintained, courteous service and good food. The singer Mr Chandradass entertained us with good singing in three languages at the restaurant in the evenings. It was a pleasant stay throughout

We had a wonderful time at Mount Xanadu as a family! It is very clean and spacious, well ventilated rooms and surrounded by so much greenary. The pool is well maintained and the food (breakfast and dinner) was just exceptional. Very yummy food we had for all meals, they incorporated the local cuisine as well on a daily basis. Lots of activities for kids to do and play. They take us for a daily trek too around the property. The staff are very helpful and kind. They accomodated an additional bed for us as per our request with no fuss too. We were very thankful for that. Location wise it is very good, extremely close to Edakkal caves and Karpuzha dam and the town centre Sultan Bathery. Overall it was an excellent stay. God willing will get to visit again!

I had booked a presidential suite for my wife's birthday. It turned out to be a memorable vacation for us.
The presidential suite is beautifully designed and well maintained. The view is just mesmerizing to say the least.
A complete royal feeling. To top it off, the jacuzzi experience takes the royal treatment to the next level.
In addition to that, we had a wonderful dining experience; a good variety of items, be it Kappa and meen curry or Chole and bhature. All this while enjoying wonderful music performed live for dinner. Moreover, there are other activities like trekking, indoor and outdoor games, campfire, phantom mud cave, terrace gatden and more.
Last but not the least, we had a delightful experience with the staff members at the resort. They have treated us with utmost respect and care, professional all the way.

You will love this place. Huge property with just 14 rooms/cottages. Nice weather, well maintained property, good food, very helpful and courteous staff and the place is very private. More beautiful during the rains & you could see the whole place in rain clouds.

Whole hearted compliments to the MountXanadu team from each one of us. It was really a magical experiance. We were a group of friends and family. Our holiday leave was restricted so that we could only stay for just one day. It was really hard to leave that place. The moment we reached that place we realised this weekend is gonna be an unforgettable experience. Great hospitality and pleasant staff. And the food was really delicious. They provided Kerala cuisine and North Indian food as well. Each and everything was super delicious. Nothing to comment. At 5.30 evening they will take us to a trekking inside the resort, where we can enjoy a beautiful sunset view. They have an infinity pool from there we can see the beauty of wayanad. They have view points within their property and each one of them have a different view and everything mesmerizing. We can also watch the beautiful sunrise from the watch tower. Each and everything we experienced was really great and full hearted. It's really hard to express those things through few lines of review or just photos. Actual view is much more pleasing. Highly recommended!

It's an awesome place! The view is spectacular! And if you can, please get the suite! It's mind-blowing when you can have such spectacular views from your bed and you can just wake up to it! Also the suite comes with a fabulous Jacuzzi! The food is also amazing! The Kerala prawn mango curry was to die for! The people are super nice and friendly! We loved the place and would definitely think of going back. Highly recommended!

Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found the MOUNT XANADO to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely stay there when I come back!

We stayed here recently for 3 days after looking at the amazing ratings. In brief, the place is overpriced for what it has to offer.

Starting with the positives -
- The staff are amazing, very very polite and nice people. This has been the best part of Xanadu for me.
- The place is very clean.
- Couple of nice spots around the resort with beautiful views that you can sit and enjoy. They have a reading room which I liked a lot.
- Food was very tasty. To our surprise, on the first day the dinner did not include any regional items. It mainly had North indian items, noodles etc. Props to the staff for making sure some regional items were included from the next day after we requested for it.

Not-so-good things:
- We had picked the Lake View Exotica room which was supposed to have a great lake view from the balcony. But the room that we stayed in did not have a good view. You can only kinda see the lake from one end of the balcony. Also the view is blocked once you are seated.
- Another problem with the room is privacy. We were put in room 207. This room has absolutely no privacy. The pool area is visible from here and people who are in the pool area can have a look into your room, all the way until the washroom (unless you keep all windows and curtains closed, of course).
- Food from their restaurant is exorbitantly charged. The dinner buffet is complimentary. If you checkout the menu for lunch, snacks etc, they are overcharged. 350,400+ for basic vegetarian items. Maybe this what is expected from a 4* resort.

Overall, for the amount of money that is charged, I was not satisfied with my stay here. The resort is run commercially when it comes to pricing and that is something that doesn't agrees with me.

Good resort with a spectacular view and ample facilities. Located in a peaceful environment so that there we can spend quality time with our dear ones. Good food for breakfast and dinner buffets although À la carte price is on the higher side.

Great stay, great view. The resort is well maintained and kept clean. Food is tasty. All in all very good experiance.

Truly loved the stay at Xanadu. The view, climate and hospitality were truly commendable. We read a lot of positive reviews about their food and truly second that. The Christmas Eve Buffet dinner was droolworthy with a perfect mix of Kerala, Continental and Arabic cuisine. The staff is friendly, polite and genuine. Special thanks to Abhirami, Melvin & Ernesto who catered to every small request of ours and made our stay comfortable.

Our one day stay was good. The place was awesome and the property is well Maintained. But the buffet menu spread was minimal and the room service was poor.

Excellent Resort Property. Thoughtfully crafted cave room. Hiking paths. Amphitheatre. Rooms Pools and views. Enjoyed every bit of it. The booking was taken by Mr Aneesh and he is very informative and valued my time. The guest handler ms Abirami is an awesome singer and took care of us to our satisfaction. She s a showstopper at the Magic show arranged with her awesome voice. The chef capt Mr Sajith is excellent in his cooking.we took half board food plan and we did have lunch there itself only cos of the taste of the food he makes. I bet it's one of the best buffet dinner available in that city. The check in and check out process were flawless. The room service and spa are good too. I strongly recommend it for the family.

The view from resort is wonderful. Resort is filled with variety plants, flowers and trees. The hospitality of the entire staff is worth a special mention. Food was very tasty and had variety of dishes. We all enjoyed the stay very much.

Mount Xanadu is an excellent place for weekend getaway. Gorgeous location with an amazing view of mountains, clouds and lake. The climate was very good and we experienced rain, clouds, fog and sunny weather within a short span. The staff at Xanadu were extremely pleasant and helpful. Infinity pool was a breathtaking experience. Those who want trekking, KTDC Cheengeri Hills and Manjappara is very near. Karappuzha dam & Ambalavayal flower garden is also very close. Thanks to Mr Elias for providing us wonderful experience. Thanks @ Dr Gopal for suggesting Mound Xanadu. We recommend this place to everyone who are planning to stay in Wayanad.

What a resort it is. A well built, maintained neatly, located just below the cheengeri rock. The location is quiet, enjoyable and worthy to spent with family and friends.
The serive is at par and provides all the facilities. The pool, adventure area, view point and spa.

Best Location in Wayanad. Resort has amazing facilities. And special mention for the food, it was truly amazing experience.

Without doubt one of the favorite resort I stayed during my time in Wayanad! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff, we took the Lake View Exotic Room and was welcomed with the wonderful decor in the bed with red rose petals and two beautiful swan designs made of towels. Room has the best view to the dam with mountains and river view.

Resort is beautiful with trees and bird chirping around with noises close to nature.

The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Front desk staff (especially Abhirami & Jithin) is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic views.

The second day we did a Cheengeri Hills trekking which was guided by Abhirami, who works in the resort. Abhirami is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking the three of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The Karapuzha Lake and Mountains view from the top was a great way to end the trekking.

They gave a complimentary candle light dinner which me and my wife would cherish the time spend and the food served.

Note: - All respect for the owner who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Mount Xanadu was a complete escape to relaxation, adventure, nature. Staffs were super friendly and facilities and services were exceptional. We spent only a day at the resort which wasn’t enough as we still have to explore more about the resort. Would definitely go back. Breakfast was also delightful. Only thing which was quiet unhappy was with the A la carte menu which is quiet expensive. I can vote its the best resort in Wayanad.

Ultimate experience of amazing Hospitality and Blissfulness of this supreme resort.
Starting from the resort infrastructure and architecture it's top notch, every single room in the resort gives you a different experience. From the watchtower, to the roof top garden, to the pool, to the rooms so thoughtfully located. Call the resort before booking so that you know all the categories of room and they would suggest you according to your requirements. This resort is placed at such a great location that would take you with surprise. We stayed there for 2 days for our first wedding anniversary, I would have not asked for a better place than this one. Just mesmerized by the resort haven't seen a resort like this one and having it here in waynad is a surprise.
The pool here is an infinity pool with the Western Ghats 180° view, could not come over that pool yet. They have enough activities for kids too.
If you want to just relax and unwind this is the deal. Every single penny spent is worth the money. Word's are less to explain the tranquility of this place one need to experience it.
Giving 5 star's keeping all the aspects in mind, the food here is very good.
Finding vegetarian food in Kerala is a big task but this resort offers enough options with good taste. They do care about your opinion.
Very good privacy in each and every room and the resort as they have just 14 rooms make's it more secluded.

From room to restaurant to resort, and other needs everything is taken care of here, the staff's here are like friends, they speak to you in a very well mannered way, and would like to give you the best they could. I've experienced their hospitality and i could say i haven't experienced anything like this so far. Thank you Mr. Jidith, Aneesh and Joseph you guys make the best front desk team and thank you for all the efforts. I could write so much but words are less to explain the beauty of this place.

The best hotel i have ever been privileged enough to visit at.fabulous ambience and breathtaking moments. Spending enough time with my family. Moreover they got their
best service and staffs. Delicious and variety of food. Its worth spending time at mount xanadu!

This resort was exotic, eco-friendly and homely all at the same time. We stayed here for 3 nights and honestly what we enjoyed most during our trip to Wayanad was sitting on our balcony drinking coffee while nature surprised us with rain which also made the greenery around us come alive! The story behind this place was also an enjoyable read which surprisingly came with their menu. The staff were very helpful and mindful of our choices. They went out of their way to make us feel at home! I hope they are able to maintain this ambience and homely feeling of the place in the coming future.
P. S. They have a very cute infinity pool too!

Outstanding experience is an understatement. Remarkably good and top notch service. Extremely friendly staff. Tell your need and it’s taken care of by them in a matter of time. Not a minute of delay. Took care of even diet considering pregnant wife. All in all I must say I couldn’t spot one small problem while at the stay. Much recommended.

Mount Xanadu, The Brand Speaks!

We had a wonderful experience during Valentine’s day, 2021 at the Mount Xanadu, an ultra-luxury boutique resort in Wayanad. Every staff member I interacted, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful, courteous and eager to help which made our stay memorable with best in class hospitality, flavorsome Kerala cuisine, breath-taking views from the resort in the lap of Chengeri hills, activities, it’s amidst nature and what not. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant, memorable stay by the sprawling hills of cheengeri.

3 nights out of which 2 nights in the presidential jaccuzi suite and 1 night in the phantom rock cave.
We were a group of 4 adults and 2 boys aged 3 and 4.

Right from the check in counter, security staff, housekeeping,   restaurant, everyone is very polite, friendly and courteous.

Breakfast is included in the stay, the spread could have been better, the choice is limited, but whatever they serve is of very good quality.

My first communication was with their sales manager Mr Aneesh who was very friendly and exceptionally helpful in assisting us to decide the rooms, explaining on the preparation of food, the features of the property.

The trekking guide, Ms. Abhirami was very helpful and cheerful, guided me to the top of Cheengeri hills. She was always around the property and whenever we passed by, she would enquire as to how our stay was and if we are enjoying our stay, always with a smile.

The guy at the reception,   Mr Jithin was very helpful in checking us in, explaining the features of the rooms and property, advising us on the nearby activities and places to visit.

The restaurant manager, Mr. Renjith helped us choose from a very extensive menu, ensured us with regards to the safety and hygiene in food preparation. He and his entire team served us cordially and we were always made to feel at home.

Dinner is made to order as per our choice from the extensive menu they provide. Special recommendation to Eri pori chicken fry, chicken kondattam, ghee rice, mutton stew, mutton Rogan josh, herbal mutton soup, appam and porota. Flaky crispy porota,   and very good appam. The prices maybe a little high, but rest assured the quality provided will trump the prices.

We loved the overall experience,   the landscaping work is impeccable. The way the property is maintained along with the gardening works, water proof speakers installed everywhere on the property that plays very soothing music, it's green everywhere with both naturally grown wild plants/trees and their own wide variety of plants.

Special recommendation to try out the phantom rock cave, a room made out from an actual rock cave with a small structural modification, there is a small artificial water fall within this room, with water coming out from the rocks, it's so beautiful to fall asleep listening to a water fall, very peaceful and mentally relaxing.

I have stayed at 3 properties (in wayanad including the big names) and the attention to detail here is commendable and this is undoubtedly the best resort in wayanad for overall performance and experience.

Suggestions:

1. Please include an espresso machine so that you can provide a proper coffee.

2. Please include copper tub for hot water soak.

We spent our first anniversary here. Staff were so sweet and helpful. Food was good as we are vegetarians we felt we have less options compared to non vegetarians anyway it's tasty and we loved what we ordered. Rooms, view, activities everything is top notch.

The property is amazing. And of course those views and services come with a huge price! What I liked the most was the preference to quality over quantity at this resort. They have just 14 rooms but they maintain the tranquility and beauty of this place very well.
The rooms are spacious and airy.
The food is not bad either.
It’s away from the hustle bustle of the city and hence it’s better to take your own vehicle there. Cabs could be quite costly. (They charge 2k per day for an outing)
The staff is amazing- very polite and accommodating. They’d organise a special dinner or occasion for you if you request them.
It is definitely one of most beautiful places to stay in kerala.
