Munro Island , Ambu Lal Boating

Excellent Boating experience in the beautiful waters of Munroe islands. Thanks to Ambulalji and the boatman Rajan.

This is the best thing to happen to kerala. Not even kidding. From the boat uncle to the snack time. Loved it.

I went to Ambulal boating while staying in Varkala and it turned out very beautiful. The people are very nice and welcoming and the views are incredible. Recommend for a nice day trip experience while staying in Varkala or Monroe islands.

Beautiful place. The owner was really warm and welcoming. It’s definitely a must-do experience if you’re in the area.

Absolutely loved the boating. Came by 4: 30 in the evening. Ended by 6: 30. It was breathtaking view and it worth every penny.

It was great experience. We had opertunity to swim in between mangrove where ever it was safe and our care taker was really good, thought us how to how to ride manual boat

Mr. Ambulal was very accommodating and we went on a 2hr boat ride around the island on one of his boats. The island view was beautiful and serene. The boatman was really kind and also made us helped us learn rowing on the boat. He also served us tea from his home which was very refreshing. He got home made food for us (see picture). The food was delicious.among the best food we have had on this trip.
Post which we went for the boat ride where our boatman sukumar was very friendly.he took several pictures.

I was planning for one daytrip with my family and trying to find a boating service in kollam. Luckily I found Ambulal Boating. First I thought that these 5 star reviews could be fake, then I fixed it since I couldn't find a better one in kollam.

Really Ambulal's service is one of a hidden gem in whole Kerala. His hospitality and service was exceptionally outstanding. He is strict to his employees in giving the best service to the guests. The food we had from there is valuable than the price we paid. I discussed him about this and from his words, I found a person who is very passionate in providing the best service at a lowest price without any greed.

I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a boating and homely food with affordable prices.

Also the boat men were very friendly and helped us to take nice pictures. The food they made was purely homemade, and the taste was awesome. I really appreciate him taking this much effort to make the guests happy. The food not just fills our stomach but also our heart. You won't get this worth of food in entire Kerala, that is for sure.

Tips: Only expect natural ambiance, Book his service at least one day before. Boating has many options which can be customized based on your spending capacity. Karimen Fry, Prawns Fry, Crab, Mussels, etc can be arranged by him if you book early. You can create the dish you want, rather choosing it. Whatever you order he will prepare it with utmost care, taste and on time. Never miss this person and his service, both are invaluable.

It was an amazing journey, once in a life time experience. The scenaries where extraordinary. The boatmen and other staff were very friendly and co-operative. We also got a chance to jump into the water with all safety. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing, mesmerising and peaceful boat ride, above all, very nominal rates.

Very good experience! A 3 hrs of boating trip is worth the expense! The staff stops and made sure we had good time, clicks some beautiful pictures on the way. Ultimately a good experience.

It was crazy experience, we came during full rainy season. The ride was completely safe, adventurous and good one.

We arrived at approx 1pm having called prior to make lunch arrangements. We had super tasty fried fish (pearl spot/karimeen), rested the afternoon and then left for canoe boating at 4: 30pm so we could catch the sunset as well. The views are absolutely breathtaking. A must visit.
