Absolutely stunning views and the resort in middle of cardamom plantation. Well maintained rooms and very friendly staffs. Food was brilliant and they had variety of options. Kudos to the team for making our stay a wonderful experience.

This stay is located in between a 10 acre cardamom plantation and beautifully designed. Our stay was very memorable. I would suggest that you spend 1 day just exploring the place - cardamom plantation, sunset trail, cave within the property, take a dip in the water streams right next to the bridge. The next day you can visit chinnakanal waterfalls, Sita Devi lake & gap road from here which is close by. The approach to this stay from the main road is a little tricky but they can arrange Jeep pickup/drop from the main road for Rs 300 one-side. We stayed in the pepper cottage rooms and thhe room was spacious with a beautiful balcony. The food is excellent here and a good spread for breakfast. Loved the coffee! Please note that getting out of here might be tricky and hence would recommend having all your meals at the resort at least for the day where you plan to explore the property itself and not step out. If there are more people there is only buffet options which is good and if there are less folks, ala carte option is provided. The owner - Suja and the manager - Akhil were very kind and damn helpful and arranged a jeep at 7pm for pickup since we got delayed due to a landslide on the way. They also helped with late check-out on our request. Would definitely recommend this place in Munnar. Must visit! Value for money! Top notch service!

Had a good adventures experience with this resort. They showed cave & some view points. Really loved it. Especially Room service is good & food is really tasty. This adventures gives some peaceful life.

The service at this place is amazing. The resort team with Akhil, Abee and Amal are amazing. The property is really good.

The property is deep in a jungle where you hear only birds chirp and the whistle of malabar thrush. The cottages are very spacious cosy and comfortable. A very safe and secluded place and we can enjoy the serenity. The food served in the restaurant is so tasty and room service is excellent. I planned to stay there at least thrice a year.

Amazing place. The en route to the property made me think about skipping the trip. But once reached this place gives a serene vibe. Service is excellent and the staff is very professional and friendly. Mr. Akhil helped us in many ways and made sure the stay was pleasant.

Hi, we booked this property from Agoda for our 2 days stay in Munnar and made full advance payment. But due to some emergency, we were unable to reach there. Thanks to Mr Suja Arun, he understood our situation and helped us to get refund from Agoda without deducting any amount. Looking forward to stay here in future.

Best experience i ever had in munnar, only we had some difficulties on the way to here, make sure you have a off road vehicle. The staffs are so friendly and rooms are clean. Will visit again for sure.

I had travelled with my family to the property, Reaching the property, the road access is little complicated, but you will not regret, Its situated in the mids of cardamom plantation, the vibe is totally different, a places for relaxing and revitalizing.
The rooms are specious, clean and neat.you have a balcony were you can relax.
Few thing which were missed out was, there was no telephones to connect to the reception, we need to call the manager on his mobile or go to the reception area to inform.as the phone signals were weak at times.
No WIFI in room, you get only WIFI in the reception. No hair dryers or television.
Staffs were friendly and helpful, the Owner of the property is very helpful.
Had a pleasant stay. Must try property.

The travel from entrance to resort to room location is adventurous, need a good car with power engine.

This was our first outing to Munnar, stayed here from 5th Oct to 08th Oct (4 Adults and 2 kids) and I must admit was a great experience at Neelakurunji. Our initial plan was for 3 nights and after reaching we had extended for another night as all of us fell in love instantly with the property. Some of the highlights from our stay

• Excellent location with beautiful and serene atmosphere, truly one of the best resorts that have ever stayed.
• We enjoyed the drive every time I took my car out in the road leading to the resort
• A bug Kudos to their entire crew for the amazing hospitality
• We travelled with two 4-year-old kids, and it was a home away from home experience. They thoroughly enjoyed playing in spacious living room, dining areas and balconies
• Food was very hygiene and delicious, a special mention to their breakfast menu and they serve the best Vada
• A beautiful stream that you can take bath and caves within makes this a unique property

And above all, a huge thanks to Ajeesh and Akhil for everything that they have done during our stay to make it a memorable trip. I can't deny Suja has the best men on the job and they would never disappoint you.

They say "Heaven is little bit closer in the mountains". If you want to enjoy and live in amidst of nature this is the right place near Munnar. We enjoyed the 2 days. People are very friendly and food was good but i feel it is slightly expensive. Inside the resort itself you have plantation walk and trekking where you can enjoy the Mist, Sunset etc. If you wanna go out and explore other areas take your own vehicle. You may not find very good restaurant nearby probably you have to travel Rajakad town. I Highly recommend the place if you are a nature lover you will have an amazing experience.

Location- Excellent. Right in the middle of the plantation. A bit difficult to get there through narrow roads, but totally worth it!
Property- As it is inside a plantation, there are a lot of interesting natural elements in. There is a small waterfall and another small water stream where one can take a bath. Water is very fresh. There is also a cave in the property.
Rooms- Luxury rooms. All of them have a view to the plantation. There is a common area where there are games, common sitting area and TV.
Food- Food quality is good, but not perfect for North Indian and vegetarian taste.
Hospitality- Excellent. Mr. Ajesh was always available on call and looked after every detail of our trip. Other staff members were also helpful all the time.

The journey to this property was quite an adventure as it lies nestled deep down the forest but trust me, it was so worth it. A beautiful property situated amidst the backdrop of hills and cardamom plantations.
With stone clad rooms opening to lush greenery and misty hills, this plantation home is built complimenting the nature around. It truly felt like a world of its own and is definitely a great escape from the heat of plains. And not to forget about the wonderful food and hospitality. I’d totally recommend it

The location is beautiful. It’s between the foggy nature. Staff is very kind and responsive & Food is delicious. We loved the silence, the streams, bird’s humming etc.
No WIFI provided in cottages & it’s negative. Overall experience is Excellent.

Beautiful resort inside the plantation. Wonderful and dedicated service staff available on call to help. Tasty limited food options. The valley/ Cliff near the resort is very scenic and a must go place. Very steep roads en route to the resort, you will have a thrilling driving experience.

-property needs some lighting
-the switches are not marked, so you keep guessing
-the door hinges need some oiling
-The property also needs some furniture like chairs and tables in the living room.
-the water geyser in one of the rooms was not working
-the toilet rolls were missing and not replenished
-the towels are low in quantity, you end up reusing dirty towels.
-the spa room is worthless. It’s dark, dingy, lonely and cold. Does not have carpet. Smells of oil in the room. The oil used for massage smells cheap. Oil was warm and nice but the room was Very very cold. I was shivering by the end of it. The towels were reused. I was okay, because it was my family only. The side door was opening again and again due to wind, making it colder.

It's a hidden gem in the valleys of Munnar. Beautiful location, picturesque all around, Serene, calm and amazing place.

Here are the pros and cons of the place.

Pros: Location, ambience, Serene environment, humble and friendly staff,

Cons: Approach road is very bad (last 5 km), no room service, no/poor network connectivity, rooms aren't great, no television in the rooms, food is just ok (not great).

But, overall it is a must visit place.

The resort is best with their cottages and bunglows. The food here is also good. The location of the resort is like outside the munnar but the location is best as we get relaxing home for some days as there are only fee cottages and bunglows which are like on some distance that no one will get any disturbance.
Just one issue not an issue but like the last 1 to 2 km stretch of road is very ups and downs with lots of mud in rainy season so small cars may get some issue so be carefull but the resort helps in that situation so much thankfull to them.

Very bad experience, room costs Rs. 5000/-, but worth for only 2000/. There are no basic facilities like iron box, oven, TV, fridge etc. It seems like they are charging Rs. 3000 for the mist. Room has got a fowl smell which is unbearable. It is really hard to reach the place and if we are going by evening, its not possible for us to check for other options as going back is very risky as the area is covered with mist.

The place is good.serene and silent. A bit hard to reach with small cars. But the rooms and the surrounding ambience is great. But it's Really expensive.the food and the stay is Not worth the price.

Neelakurinji is an amazing resort to spend a calm vacation with your loved ones. The property is placed in a quiet and serene spot in Chinnakanal. Almost 2 kms of road leading to the resort would be thrilling to drive if you have a vehicle with decent ground clearance. The cottages are well set up and neat and tidy to every corner. This resort has the best hospitality staff I have ever experienced in Kerala resorts. Anything you need is immediately sorted out. Hats off to the courteos staff and resort owner as well for putting toghether a great experience for my family.

Excellent Hospitality and wonderful place
We had amazing stay in neelakurinji resort. The place is amazing and beautiful. We went there with our little kids and staff always made us very much comfortable. They always came with a smile snd Special thanks to Mr. Emil, head of the team.
We stayed in cardomem and it was spacious, clean and beautifully build. Food was tasty and well served. The ride to neelakurinji through the off road path was also total fun.

Major problem with this resort is, road to their resort.

If I had to ever visit Munnar, I’d undoubtedly go back to stay here! The hosts as well as the manager was really warm and loving. Their food too is exceptional. The rooms are really well done! One of the best airbnb properties I’ve lived at so far. Recommend to book it directly by calling. Airbnb can be expensive.

This is a superb location for larger groups. As others have mentioned, the access road (last 2-3 Kms) is bad, however, not completely inaccessible. You need a skilled driver at the wheel and it should be fine!
The rooms are extremely spacious and have beautiful views (cardamom plantation mostly!) The staff is extremely hospitable - a special mention for Emil. He was really forthcoming with all the information on the property, very helpful, always courteous and ever ready to serve with a smile! The food is delicious - homely and flavorful. Overall, you pay for the property, access to a private stream, the extremely clean and hygienic rooms and the chance to get away from the hustle-bustle of everyday life. Perfect getaway in Munnar, away from the crowds in the lap of mother nature! Highly recommended and worth every penny you spend - great for families with children, although the inclines and uphills may not be well suited for the elderly.

Neelakurunji provided an awesome experience for our entire family. We travelled as 7 members. With elders and a kid of 2 years. This proved to be an ideal getaway for the entire family post COVID. This resort is serene and is located away from the hustle and bustle. Ideal for nature lovers, couples and even for families with elders or kids. This place offers a getaway in the lap of nature.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food served by the resort. The entire support staff were very helpful throughout. Especially as we travelled with a kid, they helped with specific food requirments too.

The place offers good trekking trails, hiking and other activities where we can enjoy nature at its purest form. The support team will also arrange for short visits to the nearby areas. The morning and evening walks with singing birds and a waterfall flowing inside the resort is once in a lifetime experience.

They also provide campfire and organize events for family on request.

We also saw a few folks who were doing work from this resort to add little splendor to their work days.

Neelakurunji as the name suggest is a best of it kind and is rare to find a blissful place like this.

Best retreat during this Covid situation. Wonderful staffs with awesome home cooked food. Stay Inside the nature around.
