The place is filled with dogs, can't even run or walk properly, those creatures are gonna mess with you.

Only place for kottayam guys to exercise, poorly maintained and poorly lit. Better to go after 5: 30 am

Need more attention from the side of the municipality. The stadium is in poor condition during the rainy season.

This might be the worst maintained stadium in Kerala and in India as well. To enter the stadium you have to wade through dirt and weeds that reach upto your waist. The track area is turned into a muddy pool. There are snakes and other harmful insects in the stadium. Shame on Kottayam Municipality! What do you guys do all day?

Sports stadium for Kottayam. 400m running track, volleyball, basketball ball, football and cricket training courts. Nice gallery and jogging facilities.

Good playground with lots of potential for development, but no facilities to use and maintenance not done.

The stadium is not maintained properly. Giving the stadium on rent for religious propagation function is not correct. After 7pm the whole staium, Kurian uthup road, private bus stand dosent have lights. Public nuesance aganist the society is very active after 9pm. Kottaym municilpal chaieman, commissioner, muncicipal councillers are not bothered about Nagampadam bus stand& stadium.

Nehru Stadium, Kottayam

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kottayam, Kerala. The ground is mostly used for athletics and football. It is one of the Indian stadiums named after Jawaharlal Nehru.

The ground has capacity of 18,000 person was established in 1972. The stadium has hosted cricket matches from 1972 to 1993 which in five first-class matches and two List A matches. The stadium went for renovation in 2014 with a swimming pool, synthetic track, basketball & tennis courts etc.

Nehru stadium is located at the heart of the town. It has good accessibility by bus and by rail. Both bus stand and railway station are situated nearby. There are shops given for rent, which is built around the stadium structure. But due to poor maintenance the condition of this stadium is worse now. During rains this stadium is flooded due to improper drainage system. This stadium is a low lying area in that locality which is the main reason for water to stagnate in the ground.

Its not clean and well mantaind spoil stadium my humble req to municipality please clean update pleasee

On of the heart place in the city. But caring and maintenance very poor. More than 100 of people coming in the morning for practice sports games and jogging. Please maintain as much as better

A stadium for the name sake. Dilapidated gallery and pavilion. No decent facility for conducting any sports meet. Stadium badly need renovation.

Very little sports events organized in a stadium admist heart of the city. This is the lack of capacity of authorities except for political rally's.

It was good stadium but nowadays it's not preserving or not giving proper care.

This is an ideal example of how a world-class stadium can be run to the ground due to government apathy and general disinterest towards sport. The seating capacity is huge, but the ground is badly maintained. Come the rains and the ground will be flooded. I have lost hopes about this place.

Very popular and vast stadium which can be used for sport games. Actually the name is generated from JAWAHARLAL NEHRU. In memory of him this stadium was builted by the authorities. As soon it became a seperate home for the sport persons

The stadium is inside the city but it has been poorly managed over the years. Loos are filthy and can never use it. Ground and field is poor quality. Another agonising fact is that when it rains the stadium turns in to a reservoir for weeks. The stadium needs to improve the quality by miles.

Different sports competion were held here. Many functions did held here. It is located near by bus stand and railway station.

Situated in the heart of kottayam town and is nearly 2 km away from kottayam railway station and hardly 500 meter away from kottayam private bus stand. It has a non-synthetic track and football court is not in good condition.

Really good place for a stadium to be. Near the heart of the city but the actual stadium is far from being good. It needs a major overhaul and the officials are not even bothering to properly clean up the place. Just wasted potential.
