Mainly it focuses on tea farms. The time we visited we saw Misty atmosphere and climate changes with time to time. Kesavan mala and seetharkund both are good
Tea estates are major attractions here, Local tribes, suicide points, and many more. Stay will be difficult here, Plan your trip timing must be important. Visit time 6am _6pm Nelliyampathy is believed to have derived its name from the gooseberry trees (nelli in Malayalam) that are found abundantly in this area. Another version is that the place owes its name to the Kadar tribes who lived in a hamlet (pathy) near Nellikulam. Nelliyampathy, lying adjacent to Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, comes under the Nemmara Forest division and forms the southern boundary of the Palakkad gap that facilitates communication between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
The Nelliampathy Forest Reserve is a truly beautiful destination. The area includes the stunning Seethargund Viewpoint and the captivating Kesavanpara Viewpoint. The landscape features charming tea, coffee, and cardamom plantations that stretch across the region. The climate here is exceptionally pleasant during both the morning and evening hours. For those seeking a convenient and comprehensive experience, there's a fantastic K. S. R. T. C.tourist package available, covering the journey from Palakkad to Nelliampathy and all the must-visit spots in between. This reasonably priced package also includes meals, making it an even more appealing choice for travelers
One of the best place to find birds. Mammals like dhols, elephants, deers, bears and leopards can be seen. Nice stays are available. The 21 kms upward climbing road is a great road to drive. Generally cold climate. But in summer will be very hot in the day time. Photographers can spend good time here and Nelliyampathy will not make them disappointed.
One of the beautiful hill stations in Kerala, Best place for trekking, visitors can have a a fantastic view of the valley. Nice place for photographers, climate is cool
Nelliyampathi forest trip, and the small trekking is really interesting. The forest starts from 'Pothundi' dam. Then hairpin road starts. On this way you can see forest, rubber plantation, coffee plantation, and finally on the top, tea plantation. Trekking (It can't be called as a trekking, actually it is a walk) through the tea plantation to the viewpoint is also interesting. The difference of this viewpoint is, usually viewpoint will be one spot and we can't go ahead, instead here, we can walk through the top of the mountain. Else we can call it a view line instead of view point. Rh money, which are not afraid of human are another attraction of this place. If you are going to this place on evening it is possible to see wild elephant near or on the road.
Help to create good vibes, nice place for riders, good place to explore and hang out with friends, nice place to enjoy nature. More than that the view point calms your mind.
It's a beautiful place in palakkad district kerala.more beautiful in rainy seasons.there is an off road route available at the top.less hotel facilities there. There is a hanging bridge across the river.in summer time not much attractive views.most rated spot is a suicide point in a private property.there is chance for watching wild animals there.

The harder the climb, the sweeter the prize. This holds truest in the case of the Nelliyampathy Hills. The drive that starts from the town of Nenmara has about 10 hairpin bends that one must negotiate to reach the destination but the view more than makes up for it. The Pothundy Dam that lies on this path also provides for a great family picnic spot. One gets a beautiful view of the entire of Palakkad district on this route and it is a trip that must be made at all costs.
Super place. Nelliyampathy is famous in our district malappuram. But we can clearly say it is a forest reserve. If you expect more like tourist place this place won't do like that. It is just my personal opinion. Amazing views. We saw so many common monkeys in there. Sadly so many tourists are feeding them. The forest department must place some boards to defend that kind of behaviours.
Just 52 miles away from Palakkad, Nelliampathy is one of the best hill stations in India you would never want to skip out of your itinerary. Evergreen jungles, lemon, tea, java and cardamom farms rich with awesome valleys and misty mountains makes Nelliampathy a fascinating place to visit and enjoy and this is one of the must see kerala places to visit in june as this place is fampus for peacocks who dance in monsoons. The awesome environment and the nature’s miracle improve the whole encounter. Nelliampathy, often known as as ‘Poor man’s Ooty’ is also popular for the hiking paths and adventure experiences it offers. Take a drive through those thrilling hairpin turns and experience the wealth of characteristics at Nelliampathy.
This is called as poor man's Ooty in Kerala. For very low budget you can enjoy the beauty of Nelliyampathy forests. Also you can visit tea garden estate. On the way to Sitharkunda you get a perfect view of whole Palakkad district from top of the hills. It's just magnificent and breathtaking view. Also you can visit a garden in the town on top. A must see place for all if you happen to visit Palakkad.
It is some of the less visited tourist places in Kerala because it's not that famous but the place is really good the only problem is you will find stay but not decent once because the tourism here has to be developed a lot more and find decent food is also a problem you can contact local Jeep drivers for trucking and stay including food which is much better and yes you can find plantation resorts here but make sure you have confirmed it before reaching because second option may be tough to find.
