Mainly it focuses on tea farms. The time we visited we saw Misty atmosphere and climate changes with time to time. Kesavan mala and seetharkund both are good

Good place for tourism.simple.but forest view is not enough.vehicle should have no horn.no animal is found.

Nice place to have an one-day hangout. Visit with zero expectations to enjoy the place and journey. Recommended to schedule your trip in rainy season.

Nelliyambathi is nice, visit here June to December. You will get a nice experience.
January to May is low chances for mist.

Nelliyampathy is believed to have derived its name from the gooseberry trees (nelli in Malayalam) that are found abundantly in this area. Another version is that the place owes its name to the Kadar tribes who lived in a hamlet (pathy) near Nellikulam.
Nelliyampathy, lying adjacent to Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, comes under the Nemmara Forest division and forms the southern boundary of the Palakkad gap that facilitates communication between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Mammals like dhols, elephants, deers, bears and leopards can be seen.

The 21 kms upward climbing road is a great road to drive.
Generally cold climate. But in summer will be very hot in the day time.
Photographers can spend good time here and Nelliyampathy will not make them disappointed.

Fully dried during my visit in May 20, no water and full hot. I would suggest to go during rainy season for enjoyment.

Nelliyampathi forest trip, and the small trekking is really interesting. The forest starts from 'Pothundi' dam. Then hairpin road starts. On this way you can see forest, rubber plantation, coffee plantation, and finally on the top, tea plantation. Trekking (It can't be called as a trekking, actually it is a walk) through the tea plantation to the viewpoint is also interesting. The difference of this viewpoint is, usually viewpoint will be one spot and we can't go ahead, instead here, we can walk through the top of the mountain. Else we can call it a view line instead of view point. Rh money, which are not afraid of human are another attraction of this place. If you are going to this place on evening it is possible to see wild elephant near or on the road.

We have to reach this forest using a ghat road. There's pothundi dam at the base. Do visit it. We can find some peacocks in this area.

Had a great time with family. But dismayed that such a beautiful land has been usurped and owned by private businesses and it's not natural forest.

Help to create good vibes, nice place for riders, good place to explore and hang out with friends, nice place to enjoy nature. More than that the view point calms your mind.

It's a beautiful place in palakkad district kerala.more beautiful in rainy seasons.there is an off road route available at the top.less hotel facilities there. There is a hanging bridge across the river.in summer time not much attractive views.most rated spot is a suicide point in a private property.there is chance for watching wild animals there.

The harder the climb, the sweeter the prize. This holds truest in the case of the Nelliyampathy Hills. The drive that starts from the town of Nenmara has about 10 hairpin bends that one must negotiate to reach the destination but the view more than makes up for it. The Pothundy Dam that lies on this path also provides for a great family picnic spot. One gets a beautiful view of the entire of Palakkad district on this route and it is a trip that must be made at all costs.

Super place. Nelliyampathy is famous in our district malappuram. But we can clearly say it is a forest reserve. If you expect more like tourist place this place won't do like that. It is just my personal opinion. Amazing views. We saw so many common monkeys in there. Sadly so many tourists are feeding them. The forest department must place some boards to defend that kind of behaviours.

On the way to Sitharkunda you get a perfect view of whole Palakkad district from top of the hills. It's just magnificent and breathtaking view. Also you can visit a garden in the town on top. A must see place for all if you happen to visit Palakkad.

It is some of the less visited tourist places in Kerala because it's not that famous but the place is really good the only problem is you will find stay but not decent once because the tourism here has to be developed a lot more and find decent food is also a problem you can contact local Jeep drivers for trucking and stay including food which is much better and yes you can find plantation resorts here but make sure you have confirmed it before reaching because second option may be tough to find.
