Salim hotel was once famous for their mutton cuisines, but now may b because of their cooks style, the old taste of mutton is not felt.it costs around Rs. 295/- for 3 Orottis and a plate of Mutton roast.normal rates!

Chicken fry is very crispy and pieces were very good in quantity as well as quality. It's not a spicy kind of fry.

Food is always good from here. Parotta, mutton chops being the all time hit. But be aware that the salt is always low in the chops. The chicken fry, biriyani etc are competent as well. Ambience is great in the separated ac cabin. Normal area is loud and conversations are impossible here.

A craving for the famed mouthwatering mutton delights of Salim hotel led me there on a weekend night. I had never stepped here after the renovation. I liked how they had retained the layout. Although what disappointed me was the food. Mutton curry was mostly full of bones than meat. I had to cleave off the little meat I could get off the bones. And the surprise. It wasn't the same mutton curry I used to relish with hot vellayappam years back. The taste had turned bland. It's missing what made it famous in the first place. And priced at Rs 240/-, I felt I was taken for a ride.

The service was good though despite being a busy evening. And topped it off with a coffee which was pretty good.

I definitely won't be returning here. Grow up. Just investing in renovation doesn't count. The food matters. Consistency matters.

P. S-A note to anyone planning to visit here. Keep cash ready for payment. Even though they sport a UPI QR code, the grumpy grandpa at the cash counter wasn't welcoming of it.

Good Biriyani with not that much spicy masala. Short rice biriyani. Too much crowded in peak time.

Chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani was good. But the normal veg Meals was bad. Also they don't promote gpay or card payment. So take solid cash with you.

Very famous for its Appam and Mutton curry combo, also must try item is chicken fry.

It's a medium level hotel mainly famous for its mouth watering biryani. Got the golden opportunity to visit the hotel and ordered chicken biryani. We visited the place at noon at the peak time. The had a busy business, but we got our seats. The treatment is good and worth mentioning. They took the order fast and also gave us the food fast. The plate had a good quantity of biryani rice, nice pieces of chicken and a boiled egg. They had given a good food at a reasonable price. They also have the system of giving the parcel food. The hotel lacks a little bit cleanliness. It's one of the best hotel at andammukku.

It's nonveg restaurant. Not suitable for families. Fish, egg, mutton, chicken, etc are available. Convient for private buses pickup point mostly in night time.

One of the best hotel in the midst of Kollam town. Mutton biryani is the most famous food. Great food. Great taste.

We went for the classic porotta -₹8/ and mutton (nalli) curry-₹160.with no gst. Everything made is natural.no extra adding Coloring mutton.tastes okkay

Recently visited salim hotel. It was a rush day as it is friday. Ordered chicken biriyani. Salim is known for mutton but Chicken biriyani also find very tasty. The pieces were fried and tasty. The rice with masala was awesome.

സലീം ഹോട്ടലിലെ എല്ലാ ആഹാരവും അസാദ്യ രുചിയുള്ളതാണ്. ടോയ്ലറ്റിന്റെ വൃത്തിയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ കൂടെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ 5 സ്റ്റാറും നൽകാമായിരുന്നു.

Though the food and restaurant are traditional, pricing is too high compared to the new gen restaurants.

It was so good that i have been having good there for like past 1 week.
My favourite one was Chicken Fried with Curry leaves.

I tried Briyani. Nice.no parking available. They should improve their cleaning and hygiene. Its old building. Mutton curry was tasty. Always crowded.

The taste of the food is above average and the price is bit high. The cleanliness is average. Very Rush during peak hours. Quality of the food is above average

Nice porotta mutton curry, also mutton biryani, in chinnakada Beach road, very famous and very old shop. Nice fresh food

If you eat this biriyani you become sleepy after a while, I don't know what they are adding in these biriyani. If you eat less like only 3 porotta and an egg curry the suppliers will look at you in a ferocious way like you are coming there to cheat and exploit them. Bathroom is just pathetic don't enter you will certainly puke. All the suppliers are migrators from Tamilnadu, north indians, north east indians. Mutton curry, chicken curry, even egg curry everything contains synthetic red colour like in an East man colour movie.

Opened in 1947, Salim Hotel is one of the best spots for mutton biriyani in Kollam District. I think it need some renovation works. It has parking issues and servicecan be slightly improved.

Worst hotel at Kollam. Prices for food here are exhorbiant. And what do they give you for the price? Unhealthy and unclean food, dirty plates and glasses, and unclean water. I dont think they ever clean this place. Full of dirt and flies. You can gwt better and healthy food, clean food, for lesser prices at Kollam

Very popular and one among the oldest non veg hotel famous for Mutton curry, quantity is very less per plate compared to the pricing
