New York City Toddy Shop

It's not your regular restaurant. It's a family toddy shop and the food and service here is exceptional. Loved the squid fry, fish curry and Karimeen fry. The prawns fry was a bit dry and overcooked.

But overall, awesome.

It was really good and I do like the food a lot i have been there 4 times and on all 4 times the taste and quality of the food served was almost same

Their best dish is the beef fry, which pairs perfectly with the hot, crispy, and flaky porotta. Don't forget to try the kallappam; it's a must-try. The ambience is very pleasing, although the seating arrangements are only average.

Food was okay. Don’t expect hygiene and cleanliness here, as they sell toddy here.

Fish is very costly. I don’t recommend karimeen fry for the price of 700₹, they charge. Not at all worthy.
In Alapuzha, fishes are less cost dues to the backwaters. Many of the good shops in Alapuzha charges only 150₹-200₹ for the same fish fry.

The service was prompt.

Ambience is cool because the entire place is surrounded by water.

Families do visit here, so it is safe place for dine in during day time.

The ambience of "New York City" was cozy and welcoming, with comfortable seating which is divided into different parts naming Washington DC, Georgia, Florida which is a unique concept and a laid-back vibe that added to the overall experience. The staff provided exceptional service, always attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.

The quality of the food was outstanding (squid fry is a must), with a wide range of delicious traditional dishes that left our taste buds delighted. And the toddy, a specialty of the region, was exceptional, perfectly complementing the meal. Overall, my visit to "New York City" was a memorable and delightful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect blend of nature, family, and great food.

Firstly, the view here is nearly superb. This Newyork city is surrounded by paddy fields and that gives a unique experience.

Food has the authentic Kerala flavour with a perfect blend of spices. I went with my family and cousins and all were really happy with the food. The main attractions are Varaal (Snake head fish) fry, Kaari (catfish) fry, Koonthal (squid) fry, kakka fry, Kappa (tapioca) with fish curry and Appam.

The service is good and the people are really friendly here. It was a very good experience and I will definitely say a good to go Toddy shop.

I have been to this amazing place more than a couple of times. The food is always the best, the Kallu is really fresh. Must try, the softest appam, Koonthal. Ohh just cant make a list as everything is delicious.
The ambience is cozy and every hut is private and neat and perfect for a family or group.we have even arranged a work meeting here and the service was top notch.
We went by the reviews and recommendations from few of our friends. Believe me I cant stop reference and recommending the place to anyone and everyone.

Located in centre to a paddy field and one side small waterway that makes its nice toody with good enough ambience to chill out with friends and family. They have got all the food menus from fish, chicken, duck, meat.etc.

Service was not good. My sister and I went to eat food today and the food was not good. Super. But avasanan bill ethrayannu chpichappoo avru calculate cheyth bill paranjuu. Oru bill njangak didn't get.the money they said.sister paid the bill.when I asked what the bill was, they said they didn't give the bill. We went back.you have to pay the bill.food is not safe.but service was not good for me.

The food and toddy are so worse compared to the one they used to serve before 2 years. Don't keep an expectation if you have a gap of 2 years.

The atmosphere was very beautiful and very quiet
But the food was very boring. Not much as we expected.
The price was also very high.
Price not a problem but the food price not acceptable when compare with taste.
