Highly recommended! I had a class with Nimi in July 2023. Nimi made sure to ask me before what my food preferences were and suggested some dishes accordingly. She was an excellent teacher - great English, full of knowledge, clear explanations, and very patient to answer every question. I learnt a lot, thank you:)

Taking one of Nimi’s classes is an absolute must if you are in Munnar. Nimi is a wonderful teacher, the food that is created is insanely delicious and it’s a brilliant way to learn more about Kerala through cooking. One of the top highlights of our trip in India. Highly recommend.

This is a must do for anyone visiting Kerala/India! Nimi is an absolute legend, a real Annapurni! So very knowledgeable, kind and a great teacher. We learnt about the basics of Indian cuisine and specifically Kerala cuisine, the spices and alternatives we could get at home and got to cook hands on in her lovely riverside kitchen. With her café Annapurni, her cooking books and classes she aims to keep the local recipes alive and support local (female) farmers. Truly a culinary but also a cultural and emotional experience. Such great cooking class. Nimi is so knowledgeable and passionate about the spices and ingredients used in Kerala. The food we prepared was very good. I had a good time and learnt lots. Thank you, would recommend to all!

Starting with the basics (the spices) we cooked 6 dishes for over 5 hours. All under nimi guidance. She really has a strong personality. To conclude the class was probably the most enjoyable experience we had in Kerala.

It’s the third time over the last six years I have come back to learn more from Nimi. Nimi is amazing! She is professional, patient, very knowledgeable - an excellent communicator / teacher. All the rest of those on my course thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Nimi caters for all diets. The cookbook she gives us is in my opinion (I am a professional chef) a classic.

What an incredible introduction to Kerala cooking. This hands on experience is perfect to give you the must knows and how tos for cooking dishes from the region.
Nimi is generous with her knowledge and shares it readily. We started off with some time discussing spices and then got into chopping and prepping before cooking the most delicious meal.
I recommend you spending an afternoon with Nimi when you are in the area.
