Olam. on the lake

My husband and I went to 'Olam on the lake' for a kayaking session based on good reviews. The place is in Panangad and has a beautiful vibe with mesmerising views.

After a 45 minute drive, we reached the place. Only after reaching there, we came to know that it is a non guided tour. Also, the kayaks do not have any water proof bags to carry mobile phones. We were asked to leave our mobile phone on the shore/property.

The waters looked slightly rough and since there was no other group for kayaking, I was concerned about safety.

I raised my concern regarding safety measures in case of an emergency/accident while kayaking. There was no satisfactory response.

Due to my concerns regarding safety, we returned without kayaking. Most other kayaking service providers in Ernakulam provide guided sessions and water proof bags.

Note: Please check beforehand whether the session will be guided, based on your preferences. Also, make arrangements for carrying mobile phones.
