Old Coffee House

We had dinner from here recently. There was a slight waiting time. We tried the Chef Special Chicken Stew, Appam, Gobi Manchurian and Chicken Fried Rice & Tea.
The food was decent. The chef special wasn't that special. Price is slightly on the higher side. It is the view that stands out. The ambiance is pretty decent. They accept card, cash n UPI.

Perfect place to spend your evening. The cafe has a great sea view. The food is really good. Coffee and chicken cutlet tastes much better.

After seeing many negative reviews I was doubtful to visit here. But the food was good, evening vibes in a beach side made a feel good factor. Service and ambience was ok. There is no parking facility near the restaurant.

Desserts are good and so are the beverages.
Looks like they've renewed the menu. Steak is available. On my wishlist.
Pro-Tip: Brownie with icecream beside the sea is a feeling for itself!

I think, like the building, food at old coffee house is old sometimes. I went there yesterday, had chef special chicken stew. I had fever the whole day today. Sitting infront of WC and vomiting now. I can feel the taste of chicken still! Please take care that it doesn't happen again.

Rightly priced food in such a location is a dream. No extra money for such an awesome location right by the beach. Only concern I want to raise is to increase the cleanliness as possible.

Very cheap service and bad experience that I never felt even in road side hotel.
Servants and all are decid the customer by the way getting tip and they won't even to serve a glass of water

The place with good ambience and vibe place also. The sea breeze can be get from here. The over rated gst bill is there for because of the sea breeze.the grape juice is too good. More pulp added to it.

Not bad not great.you can enjoy good sea breeze and relax and have food.the rates are not too bad.would recommend the place to beach visitors.

Pretty decent pricing of the delicacies. Awesome sea facing ambience. Food is ok ok not that lip smacking. Mutton and chicken culet are hot cakes here.

Very worst food, chicken is really rotten and it smells lik hell plz don't visit, don't go for ambience over there.plz don't eat food.

It's a beautiful and well-designed sea-facing restaurant. Ordered parotta, beef curry, and mixed fried rice, which was pretty decent. Staff assistance could have been better. I recommend everyone visiting Sanghumugham beach to definitely come to this restaurant. Make sure you have coffee here because it's the best.

Best restaurant near to shangumugham Beach. The restaurant is sea facing and its situated exactly in the same property where the Indian Coffee House was situated years ago.

Best place to spent evening with family witnessing the beautiful sunset and the enjoying the breeze with some mouth watering dishes.

The resort is in a Splendid Ambience, although except for that, it is the least worth place to be in. These are the food we brought and we got soup first instead of a starter.

Worst food I have ever had. Prices are too high as per the quality, quantity and taste. It is like "Naam bade darshan chote". I have expected north Indian food with quality, quantity and taste. Even central India's street food is five times better than this. Two places in same city i.e trivandrum central railway station vegetarian restaurant and another is old coffee house. At railway station of trivandrum, I get meals and biryani at total of 80/- + gst, which is perfect in taste, quantity and quality. Another is this restaurant. WORST WORST WORST

From the moment I walked in the door, I had a bad feeling. The restaurant was full, it was incredibly loud. We all had to shout to be heard. Begin the only food joint in the beach area, there will be no other choice but to visit the place to satisfy a starving stomach. The ambience of the place is amazing beach viewing open place with beautiful lighting. The food served is just okay.
The waiters was rude from the start. They provided us with no service from the beginning itself. We had to find our ways to the empty table. We waited for almost 25mins to get the menu. We had to go and call a waiter to take our order.

Good restaurant and beach view from there along with a cup of tea and cutlet is a great experience.

Their Tandoor is really good. A few hot tikkas, clubbed with piping hot appams and kulikki sarbat; alongside the beautiful beach sunset at Shankumugham. Simply wah! Go for it.

Old Coffee House was a chance stop for us while on the way from Poovar to Varkala. But it is a gem of a place at an awesome location.
Close to the Thiruvananthapuram Domestic Airport is this beautiful cafe, overlooking the Arabian Sea and a well laid promenade for casual relaxing strolls.
The best on the menu are the fruit shakes and most importantly, the tender coconut shake. A must try for everyone.

Food is only average.and a lil highly priced. Too oily kind. The location and views are awesome.right at the Shangumukham beach.that's the only plus for this hotel. Could have organized this hotel better. Evenings and week ends are more busy here. Well you don have any other good options around too.

Behaviour of staff was not good.after 7.00pm they will give only dinner.you can not take coffee, tea, shakes or sandwich.behaviour was very rude.
