Olive Downtown

We had gone for lunch yesterday and the chicken biryani was bad, the chicken pieces in the biryani had bad smell. The rest of the dishes including starters were satisfactory. I'm giving 2 stars for this reason because we paid quite a lot for biryani and the quality was really bad. The staff was excellent in service.

The service provided was great! The staff are very helpful and always on their toes. The staff made our stay memorable.

Ok hotel in the center of Cochin
The rooms are a bit small and there is no ventilation other than the air conditioner
Sound insulation is good even though it is in the city center and close to the metro line
Breakfast is average

Hotel in the city easy local transport easily accessible.
Good service and overall good hotel for short stays when visiting kochi.

Had hosted a lunch for 10 in the cafeteria a month back. Staff was extremely helpful, and were flexible with creating a customized menu for the lunch. The food was delicious and the staff, friendly and courteous. Special mention to Aiswarya and Jibin for helping us with everything on the day.

The hotel is in the town which will give you accessibility in all other locations using public transport itself.

The worst food i have ever had from a star hotel. Zero taste, too much salt in mutton biryani worth Rs. 700, accompanying pickle was bad! Water melon juice was nothing but water with some red colour.chappathi was too dry& tasteless. Not to mention the other dishes we ordered. Simply pathetic.will never visit this place. Pathetic. Dont know how a star hotel will survive with such low quality. Worst

A cool Five star Hotel/Resort placed in Kadavanthara, which offers a Nice restaurant and a Gym and have a swimming pool on the rooftop which owns the great view of the whole city. One of the standard and class five star hotels I've ever been to.

Nice vibes. A great place to hangout if you are looking for a chilled out place without much rush. The staff is pretty good as well.

Rooms are ok, toilets are not very clean. Choice of food and taste is good. Needs better room service and housekeeping.

Extremely bad Room service. Staff don't even understand English language. Overall, food quality is less than average for any 4 star Hotel.

I was there for my daughter marriage on Jan last week. We are from banglore almost 7 rooms we booked they give their best service to us. Special thanks to janee & vishnu & resturant people also give the good service
All over stay was good

Visited Arena cafe. A typical high end coffee shop where you can spend ample time for discussions. No disturbance from serving staff.
4 stars for this.

However, the quality (taste) of filter coffee was terrible. I can get much better filter coffee from any Tamil veg hotel and that too at one-fifth the price.

May be, I should have tried cappuccino. Next time, will try and post the feedback.

Good Hotel, superb ambience, staffs are ok, actually some managers act smart. Moreover good.food is very costly.

Jovial mood for a bar. Regular glassmates and bartenders are like family. Noisy at weekends and but peaceful other days. And a whole lot of offers often coming up

I had gone to the Cafe of the Hotel. Had to wait 30 minutes and finally chase the waiter in order to get my order taken.

Had a 2 day weekend stay in Olive Downtown. It is located in the heart of the city and is close to the upcoming metro station. Luxurious and spacious rooms, good food and nice variety in buffet. Excellent service by the staff, really took care of us.

There is a rooftop pool and restaurant, gym and spa available. All in all, had a good stay. Recommended for a business traveler and there only for a day or 2.

It's a good three star hotel but very expensive and not economic. I attended meeting there but not a great one for that price.

Good place, nice food, due to metro work entry/exit a bit dicey. Good service.

Completely taking down this review after my second visit today.
Took half hour to serve the liquor I ordered. No response from the waiter. We were made to sit for more than an hour for any kind of service.

Being a five star hotel, they don’t have a steam iron box to provide to guest. Even managers are bluntly refusing and saying we don’t keep steam iron box

Okay service, but buffet breakfast left a lot to be desired, upgraded me to suite on day 1 but got downgraded the next day

Comfortable room, food was good and bfast had good variety. But the staff was very courteous right from doorman to the managers. No wonder Kerala is so famous for hospitality.

Good location but overpriced. Comparatively, Avenue Center just a mile away is definitely value for money—the buffet there is the best in its class for many miles around. Okay there's no bar there and there's one here. But then again, Cochin Palace—a furlong down the road—has one that has about the same ambience and is priced at half the rates in Olive (₹200 for a two-ounce shot of whisky).

Very nice hotel, club mahindra affiliated. Multi cuisine restaurant and all day dining cafe, swimming pool etc.

Love their cafe. Strategically located at a busy junction, great place to get together with friends.

Rooms and restaurant is good.the hotel is right at the heart of the city.can have awesome city view from top and the room window.
Cant use the pool after 6pm as they are using pool deck for seafood restaurant.

A street food stall has better service than this so called 5-star hotel. Don't me started on the menu. The food is too expensive and none of the dishes, even a roti, is unendurable. Worst experience ever.

Promised a good dine for 8 people with a pre-arranged menu and all we got was a sea food platter which was terrible and 5 complimentary over burned roti's. There was no one around to serve us. Only time I saw a waiter was to bring that dish to table. I hope you do well with our 4K.

Very bad experience. We had visisted this place last day and they provided seafood platters which tasted nasty. Also, their service was not up to the mark. They didn't attend us because there was another team sitting near to the pool. They took a lot of time for the food delivery and their roti was very bad. I asked them to parcel one item from the platter and they provided it without a kit. The packing was very poor and it shattered in my bag. I will never visit this place.

Luxury hotel. Good location. Good food. Good ambience. Good for business meetings and personal gatherings. Very near to Kadavanthara metro station. Really heart of the city.

Olive Downtown is one of best star hotels with very good customer service, many companies opt to conduct meetings, gatherings, celebrations, events at the this location. There is ample parking space, easy to locate, exactly located at Kadavanthara Junction. Very good food or we should say very tasty food they provide. Olive Downtown is the best option when you think about location. Have a great day.

Nice hotel to stay beside Kadavanthra, beside MG road. Front space is some how less as in the middle of the town but once inside you will get a nice relaxing atmosphere. Hotel staffs are very decent and good. Rooms are somehow small but sufficient. On top there is a small swimming pool. Restaurant on 2nd floor is good and there is a open space also where you can have natural feeling. Foods i don't liked at all as they kept beef bowl just beside chicken so avoided going in Nonveg sections. Even typical fish recipes were also missing in buffet. So i will advise not to go with MAP plan. Rest everything was good and you will enjoy staying here.

Olive Downtown is in the middle of the city and it so construted is a small area but the hotel is good and the ambience is very nic.

Ambience is ok. Friendly staff. Exhaustive menu. Price may seem to be on the higher side, but the quantity of dishes are quite large.
