I had chicken biryani which was good, the mixed fried rice was also good, but the seekh kebab was disappointing, didn't have any taste and it was cold also and chutney was also not up to the mark, the Nan was soft and tasty, but for the price, please make sure to serve your food hot
Came here today, first the milk used in the was spoiled, they changed it. Then the worst chicken tikka masala i ever had. Really disappointed with the food and service.
Yum yum yummy They have some unique collection of flavours. We (me and wifey) likes exploring and every trip to Oriental Spice has been rewarding. I liked the dragon chicken, beef bulgogi, and (can't remember names, yikes). A must try if you like oriental flavours. A couple's dinner costs ~700-1k, that's all. Nice ambience too. Pls be patient though. Food takes time. Saw a ton of Swiggy/Zomato orders served while I waited: '- (
We recently dined at Oriental Spice, being vegetarians, the choice was limited Paneer (3) and 1 dish in Mushroom. I was shocked. Outside Kerala, you can get a host of vegetarian food menus - using cauliflower, broccoli, baby corn etc etc.and the list is endless. We had ordered "butter" naan which didn't have any butter. The hotel never mentioned it was supposed to be self-service, one had to ask for glasses, tissues, and spoons. The service could definitely have been better. Expected much more.
Tried their Hokein noodles and Chilli garlic noodles. The Hokein noodles was saucy and of moderate spicy. Chilli garlic was bland unlike expecting a spicy garlic touch.
Ambience is good. Some Chinese music playing in the background. Good for family, friends and couples. Seating arrangements make it good too. Dishes were good. Waiting is not too long but had to wait at least 20 minutes for every dishes and even bill (️). Tables are neat and tidy, but not sanitizing them after customer left. Price was comparatively high. The chikken tikka was very sour due to excess of tomato sauce (ya, i didn't like it).
I am changing my review from 5 * to 1 * due to a very bad experience. Went with a lot of expectation for the second time and the plan shattered miserably. Got cold Hakka noodles heated up in Oven and when i complained they brought another cup of noodles with same heated up and with watery taste. Ridiculous!
I was happy that I found one really good Thai restaurant, but sad to remove Oriental Spice out of my list.
My all-time favourite place in Trivandrum for Chinese and Southeast Asian Cuisine. The one main factor differentiating Oriental Spice from other (may be a bit) high-end restaurants is that they maintain consistent quality in their food and service. I have been going to the place for the last 6 years now. Everytime, the food has been exceptional. It's not just the quality but the quantity as well. For instance, if you order fried rice, it can be easily shared between two people. Their Chicken Supreme Chilli Oyster is a must try!
Awesome food and good service. A bit pricey but worth the quality. Road parking available and can be a bit difficult depending on the time of day. Awesome service, great attitude to customers.
Update: Tried the falooda today and it was great. Multiple layers and great taste. One of the best falooda in town.
Went there on Saturday with family and had dinner there. After completing the food I ordered for lemon tea and paid the bill and kept waiting there for a while. My wife and kid went downstairs supreme bakery for a small purchase as I was waiting there for around 15minutes for my lemon tea.
After 30minutes I asked them to cancel the order and asked them to give my money back. But they refused that and told that I had to take lemon tea parcel and again wait there for more than 10minutes.i refused it and went out from there. Poor and pathetic Customer service and no ethics.
The restaurant serves the best North Indian food in the city. Keeping it classy, they have really upped the game. The thallis (platter) they provide is worth a try. I tried their Kebab Thalli. Quantity sufficed but the prices are bit high. Also, their thick milkshakes are talken about. Just cannot leave without giving it a go. Ambience is okay. Not very great, since it is relatively a smaller restaurant.
Biriyani is little over priced compared to taste and other restaurant's rate. Their pizzas are really exquisite and tasty. Even more tastier than Dominos.
Food quality and presentation is good. Place known for biriyani. I had a burger n it was okay for the amount paid. Try thali they r good. Even chicken platters are good.
Great sit out and great variety in the menu. It is also a part of a famous Bakery chain in Kerala. Supreme Bakers. There is little parking space as it's right on the main road
Went there with my two toddlers. Nobody attend to us for a good 10 minutes. Reminded the guy at the counter. Nobody came for another 10 minutes. Morons. Typical classless management.
I would like to thank the people out there for helping us and acting promptly when my 5 yo son vomit inside the restaurant. They were very much concerned about him and was trying to pacify and comfort us. One elder person in the staff came and offered lime juice for my son. Thank you alll
Nice cafe. It's almost in the centre of city. The best part is such a quiet place. You don't have to wait long hours for your favourite foods. Parking space is also available. Affordable price.
Went there after a gap of almost 5 years, one good thing i found there they didnt increase the price too much when compared with other restaurants in trivandrum city. Neat and clean food, no negatives about the food and service. Some of the waiters are not aware of all the dishes mentioned in the menu, restaurant management has to take care of this as it is very important. Parking is bit difficult.
The best Thai cuisine available in town. Excellent quality of customer service with delicious food and the Thai styled ambience makes oriental spice by the supreme group one of the best
The only place in Trivandrum where you get authentic Chinese and Thai food exclusively. The quantity of noodles and fried rice is very good and it is hard for one person to finish an entire fried rice/noodles. Some of the curries can be a bit bland though. If you are a spicy food lover, ask for the spicy ones on the menu or else you will be disappointed. Overall the food quality is pretty good and the restaurant is always filled with people. Must try if you haven't been here yet!
This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Trivandrum. They are consistent over the last many years and that's a feat not many can match. God Speed
A great place to dine with your friends. The ambience is superb. Quantity and quality of the food is really impressive. Service is mind blowing so are the rates. I visited them many times and even ordered home delivery. Good luck team. You guys are awesome
The quantity of rice and noodles they serve in uncomparable to other restaurants in the city. I had to ask for a doggy bag most of the time. Decently priced, but deprived of much vegetarian options. Ambience is nice and they play some chineese/mandarin music most of the time.
Good varieties of Chinese dishes available. Neat and clean. Cooperative Staff. Air conditioner was not working well and the music being played is horrible most of the time.
Rice and noodles have good variety and tasty too. But the fish main courses almost everything has tomato sauce added. They can reduce the number of thoe items.
I would not rate it very high, yes comparatively it may be a good Chinese restaurant in Trivandrum, that's because Trivandrum hardly has any good Chinese restaurant except the one in Taj Vivanta, which is a 5star restaurant. I had ordered for a dish through Swiggy, where it was written Chinese chopsuey. And when I got it it was nowhere near chopsuey! These mishaps are not acceptable.
Cozy and upscale place. The staff is very polite and allows custom alterations to the food if you need it (no ghee, no coconut shavings etc). Also 1 portion will be enough for two.
Real tasty food. A bit expensive but the quality and quantity are worth the price.the menu is a bit hard to understand because of all the unfamiliar names of dishes. But the staff is always helpful. Good ambiance too.
I go often when ever there is an urge for Chinese orientatal cusine! Curries normally are saucy yep thet is the waybit should be right.fried rice and noodles are the best in town.they have very big portions, one bowl of friedrice fits for 2 perfectly, same with curries too, soups here are good too.if you are with family or friends it is a nice place to sit and enjoy the food
Love the food. Great service and ambience. Very cooperative staff. Would definitely suggest this place for a family outing. Best for Thai and Chinese cuisine lover
