OYO 15554 Hotel Al Saj Trivandrum

Once a good restaurant, the present Alsaj is dirty. Neatness not maintained. Wash Basins and Toilets were dirty. Not maintained well. In the dining hall, flies and worms are seen. Service is poor. Lot of Waiting Time. Force to use bottled water in the dining table. Charges are very high. Highly artificial expressions and faking of waitors. But lot of visitors only due to a large parking area

Food & drinks: Not up to the mark

Chicken curry not fresh for sure. Will try not to visit here in the near future. Dining hall was stinky

Recently the Biriyani here was not upto the mark. But this time it was very tasty the quality is improved also the price is increased to Rs200/. The quantity is not sufficient for an average person. Ovrrall it's good

I don't know about staycation we went for lunch.we faced worst experience.food srevice cleanliness very bad we ordered tandoori chicken.that was undercooked.

Half Chicken tandoor prize is 220rs but the quantity is very very low. They are providing high rates with low quantity food.

Nice ambience and portion of food served. Love to go again. Best for families as there are privacy huts to get together.

Chicken biriyani cost 190. But it was only for 60 rs. Low quantity. Ambient spave for parking is the only positive thing.

Visited only the dining facility. Arrogant suppliers, they "throw" the dishes on the table and disappear. Dining room lacking proper cleaning, chairs are shabby; needs thorugh cleaning or refurbishing. Washing area including the floor is full of water and dirty.

Food is not that tasty, chicken served was rough, atleast two days old.

Ample parking facilities. It seems the whole facility is lacking staff.

If there was an option for zero, I should have given that. Very pathetic service. May be due to lack of staff. Mangement has to look into that!

Good food. Good service, nice spread of food, the biriyani is good. Poratta and chicken is good combination.

Due to the over rush on lunch time some kind of glitches caused to me. The food which served was not sorted correctly. That means I ordered biriyani with my friend. He got full of chicken and I got rice. Finally we managed to share the food. It was not up to the mark in deed. Nice parking area. Thanks

There is only quantity, no taste. Most dishes are over cooked. Its sad dat a reputation created over years is spoiled.

Good. Big restaurant but looks not clean now a days. This may be due to lockdown closures. Make it well. Food items all good. Parking area fine.

We went there at the time of night curfew. It was almost closing time but the waiter waited for us to finish the dish without any hesitation.

The experience was very bad.service level and the atmosphere is very warm. But the food was very very bad.

Good place to dine, have small huts to rest and have food also with ample space for parking. Great location on the Roadside.

Bad experience.
Chicken pirattu was served as a loose gravy.
Beef ularthu had 2 different meat in it. One type of meat was not even half cooked. As hard as a rock.
Porotta was superhot and crisp.
The staff did not give ear to our complaint showing the condition of the uncooked beef.

ഇന്ന് സമയം 11: 30 ക് ബ്രേക്ക്‌ fast കഴിക്കാൻ Al Sajil എത്തിയ ഞങ്ങൾ പൊറോട്ടയും ബീഫും ഓർഡർ ചെയ്ത്, കഴിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ തന്നെ നല്ല പുളിപ്പും, പഴക്കവും അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട ഞങ്ങൾ staff നോട് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ, അത് എടുത്തു തിരികെ കൊണ്ട് പോയി, ഫ്രഷ് ആയിട്ടുള്ളത് ചിക്കനും, മട്ടനും മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളൂ എന്നാണ് അറിയിച്ചത് ആയതിനാൽ മാനസികമായി മടുത്ത ഞങ്ങൾ കട്ടൻ കട്ടൻ ചായ കുടിച്ച് അവിടിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി, manger ടുത്തു report ചെയ്തു.
എറണാകുളത്തു നിന്നും പുറപ്പെട്ട ഞങ്ങൾ Al വളരെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ ആണ് Al സാജിൽ എത്തിയത്. പക്ഷെ നിരാശജനകമായ പ്രതികരണമാണ് അവിടുന്നുണ്ടായതു

I have ordered meals from Al saj Kazhakkoottam via swiggy. What i have recieved is chicken bone in Avial. Not a bone with flesh. It is just waste in the curry

I don't think that this restaurant is a good choice because the hospitality, quality and taste of food are seldom.which means you have to wait a lot there, it doesn't overwhelming the patience you put there

Poor quality service they are charging GST 18 percent when they are not entitled to collect. They create their own Bill and looking to charge more

Ok I didn't get a chance to stay but I took some take away. Order chicken noodles, fried rice and porotta with butter chicken. I was mainly concentrating on noodles and fried rice. Definitely was a bad idea. I mean why do they even serve these dishes if they don't know how to make it. The worst chineese dishes ever. Never try noodles or fried rice. Better go for the Kerala style food. Which happens to be better. And once again. Worst noodles and fried rice but no compromise on the price. Keep up the good job.

We went to this through a friend of mine. Located at a very prominent area and lits of space. But Very unprofessional management. No housekeeping commitment, none to attend call, 20 year old bed linen, insects in the room, loosely connected plug points and to top it all, they have no invoice to provide. We stayed at Room 302 amid week end lockdown.

We can say that this hotel's food in one word "awesome". Yeah they have good tasty food and we will love their food. They give funny naughty names in every dishes in their menus. We get our owns cabin or free space to relax and enjoy food. Good parking area. Moderate expensive foods. It's more famous in thiruvananthapuram city. Al saj.this name everyone knows. Any way I love this place and I suggest only order non-veg foods. They poor in vegetarian dishes. They offer low ambience in this place. Any way I consider it has best

Decent cheap place to stay in kazhakkottom. Restaurant is very famous and offers wide range of cuisine.

Loved this place. Nice palce to go with family. Frequent visitor. Ample car parking facility is there.

It is one of the oldest hotel in Kazhakuttom still running successfully with hard competitions from many new restaurants in and around Kazhakuttom. It used to be a busy restaurant mostly visited by the expatriates returning from gulf countries. Fish and chicken dishes are the most liked food. The mutton and beef dishes were just average taste. Porotta, fried rice and biriyani are also very good. Fresh juices and icecream are available. They have huge seating capacity to accommodate customers without any hassle. They have hut type dining rooms to accommodate 1 or 2 families based on the size of the hut room available.
The prices of food are reasonable. They accept both cash and card payments. They have a very large dedicated parking space within the restaurant campus. The service offered by the staff is fast but upon ordering we have to wait for 10-20 minutes for the food to reach the table fresh and hot. The staff are polite and well behaved.

It has been my favourite restaurant for years. But the last experience was quite bitter. Ordered meals and fish curry. King fish was not fresh. The person taking order was so arrogant.

The beef ordered for Breakfast the worst. Salty. Oops. Too salty. May be yesterday's left over. Reported to the waiter and he kept a closed lips till we left. Arrogance.

Very bad buying one product the rate printed and the billing is different. In printed media there is no gst but when the bill is given gst is added. Very cheating for customer

The OYO rooms at Al Saj hotel is decent. Room is spacious with good lighting, and there's a good bit of space outside the room as well. Huge place for parking is also available. The property is clean and tidy. One thing I did not like was the bed, they're not the soft ones which we usually find at hotels.

There was not much of a 'Crowd' when I went there. Although that was a weekday and it's a hotel on the side of the highway and it was early night (around 7-7.15). But the taste of all kind of meats were exceptional. Sea food is a bit expensive as usual. It lacked a private cozy ambiance though.

I had food from the restaurant it was good no complaints. I have eaten at this place 15 - 18 years ago when we used to travel to Trivandrum via road, it was just a restaurant then. Thinks have changed we now have a good variety of food to choose from, dishes that have funky names and all non Malayalee staff

After the OYO face, they have upgraded all the facilities. Nice ambiance in the dining hall. Pleasent staff, Good food. Well done team.

Food is expensive and tasty. The ambience in the individual cabins they have is great for families and friends. The cabins ensure privacy and gives a feeling of luxury. Ample parking space, the hotel is located just near the national highway.b

Very good option for dining. Located beside the highway as well as the large parking area, makes it convenient for travelers. Almost all variety of food is available. Tasty too. Got small huts for small groups. Toilets are also neat and tidy. The ambience at the main restaurant hall could have been improved though.

I only had food there. Parotta and beef ularthiyathu is my favourite there. When ever I travel to TVM, al saj is my first choice.

Bad service. Unclean rooms. Broken toilet seats. Broken and non-working phones. Only one staff and he asks you to adjust when you ask for towels. Laundry is delivered after 5days! The furniture is loaded with termites and the cottages are really dark with no light outside to guide you in the dark. Not a good place to stay.

Ordered Chicken biriyani via Uber eats. What I received was a mediocre portion with one chicken piece - that too 30% meat and rest bone. Called up the restaurant to report this and not even an apology from their side. Not sure if they pack Uber eats orders separately considering the offer price. If that's the case, why advertise the biriyani as costing 150-160Rs. Better to have the listing in Uber eats as Half Biriyani if this is what they are packing for customers who are paying money and not requesting anything for free. Never buying again from here even if all the other nearby options are closed.

The room was spacious but doesn't look tidy. The bed was not comfortable and linens were not clean. The a/c was making lot noise and tv was not receiving signal. Restaurant is good and served tasty food. There is very good parking space available.

One best place to stay for a group of friends. Book 3 to 4 cottages and have a great time. We were only 2 so took only 1 cottage.

Superb! Have been going their since i was a kid, great food better service! Should visit atleast once if you are in trivandrum, its worth it!

Booked through OYO rooms, rooms are good and clean. The place is also good. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that the restaurant there is very costly.

All time accessible drive in restaurant. Can always think of alsaj for standard meals while around at kazhakoottam any day during noon. A large hall styled restaurant is quite spacy and convenient. Fish fries are priced high, but of big quantity. The meal curries always felt fresh and up to mark.

Ordered Fish curry meals. It was very disappointing.
The fish curry was not good at all and the number of curries was less.
