Pakka Punjabi Restaurant

This is not pakka Punjabi it's joota Punjabi, they don't know how to prepare Punjabi food, we ordered roti and paneer butter masala through Zomato, roti was soo hard that you can't even chew it and paneer butter they just dipped paneer and sent it, if you want to try Punjabi food never opt this restaurant.

Never order through swiggy, for half portion they will send you quarter only. Looters. Pakka moonjiru

If you are looking for some good combo options like platters then this is the best place. I'm a frequent visitor and the dish I always order is the 260 rupees platter along with some butter nan and the hot and sour soup.

Waste of money. Don't buy any food item from this hotel expecially through swiggy and other online platform. They are also not resposible for our concerns. So dont waste your hardly earning money.

Really bad food experience. Ordered tandoori and butter chicken through zomato. Delivery took so long and food was terrible. Butter chicken was high in water content and chicken wasn’t cooked properly. Tandoori naan was hard. Wasted money on this worthless order. Never gonna order again.

With very high expectations we ordered food from here.being a North Indian we do know what the food is like.

Ordered: Malai kofta, Dal butter fry.

One of the worst malai kofta curry ever seen. A potato kofta dipped in white curry sauce.
Please this is not malai kofta. I have never seen a white malai kofta curry.

Coming to Dal fry. Not at all a restuarant quality dal fry. Ur competitor restuarants have been serving proper dal fry.
Normal dal is what I recieved.

Sorry to say never ordering from here back.

I ordered food from here twice and the taste was so bad. Should not be serving such poor dishes.

Very bad food and old food they serve. Don't eat this kind of food by spending money and make your health bad.

Only few covers. The entry into the restaurant is a bit confusing. Had roti and hyderabadi chicken. Food was decently good, but nothing awesome.

Worst shawarma i ever had. Waste of money. @pakkapunjabi If you can't give better quality shawarma then stop selling it. Zero point from my side.

Highly expensive menu…taste wise it’s Gud but over expensive I would say…it’s clean and a/c facilitated…but it ur choice after all

An average restaurant, don't think any greatness on their offerings, taste and services. It's very expensive too compared to.other hotels in Kottayam. Still it can be an option while traveling through Kottayam town

The place is untidy. The food is ok but they are not providing exact North Indian Dish. Very few customers for dine in.

Firstly about the price. It's very reasonable and affordable. The restaurant has a good vibe and ambience. I really really really loved the food. They also serve in a very good quantity. We ordered a 'tandoori chicken platter'. It was a combo meal. It was more than sufficient for 2. I will definitely recommend this one

They are not very keen to follow order notes and they are very stingy in terms of providing sufficient quantity of food. The food is otherwise tasty but what is the use if they refuse to give enough quantity of food.

Good punjabi dish, chicken tikka masala but unfair trade practice.
Ordered for roasted papad but was served leftover fried papad which is complimentary with biryani, served couple of pieces of onions with few juliens of carrot which is part of punjabi dishes and charged for veg salad. Ridiculous.

The only relationship between Punjabi cuisine and the hotel is the name Pakka Punjabi.
Otherthan that they don't know what is punjabi cuisine and the preparation of it.

I ordered a butter chicken. The butter chicken is full of onions and a little bit tomato. I think it is a fusion of kerala chicken masala and butter chicken. They don't know about the makhani gravy and runs a restaurant named PAKKA PUNJABI

Okai the it was a good experience didn't satisfy my expectations. The biriyani was good but less rice. And also i ordered aloo paratha along with paneer butter masal which i am not all satisfied with taste. Over all its a okai kinda hotel with wide range of food. Its on a little bit expensive side of hotel.

Don't go for negative reviews those are given by mallus who never experienced north indian food before, Honestly this is the best & the only restaurant with more than 100's of North Indian cuisines am not claiming you get the exact taste of Punjabi food but far better than other restaurants in Kottayam. Must try atleast once you go Kottayam.

I have ordered Chicken Kuzhimanthi Biriyani which tastes like cat or dog food. The rice do have a burner or smoke flavour.which is disgusting. The chicken is cooked only with pepper and salt.which is not at all good for a Kuzhimanthi. For a traditional Kuzhimanthi the rice and chicken should taste and smell different. And the piece of chicken which I get is not good for consumption because while eating the piece I heard a cracking sound from my mouth.which I found was many pieces of iron.may be from their barbeque grill or their cooking tray. Not Recommended. Don't Eat Chicken Kuzhimanthi Biriyani from Pakka Punjabi.
