We ordered kuttanadan chicken curry (Rs. 270) and mutton (Rs. 380). Both were tasty ofcourse. But the mutton was over cooked and chicken was semi cooked. Mutton pieces were very less and lacked flush. Both of the dishes were filled up with 50% of gravy only which was wasted. To enjoy the taste of a food, it should have enough pieces rather than thick gravy.
Palaaram stands out as the quintessential destination for authentic Kerala cuisine. The culinary offerings excel not only in taste but also in generous portions. Personal highlights include the delectable Kappa and fish curry, complemented by the exquisite Karimeen Pollichathu. The drinks selection is equally noteworthy. The restaurant has ample seating, accompanied by commendable service. There is a small snack shop on the ground floor. There is no designated parking space for the restaurant but it is easy to find a parking space along the roadside.
Love the ambience, the amazing food. Pleasantly surprised to see the combos on the menu which are quite easy on the pocket. Loved the apple based dessert, the name of which slips my mind at the moment. Definitely a place to take your family or anybody else you are entertaining for the evening. And the waiters are not over-indulgent either!
A great place to enjoy a family meal. The menu was eclectic but we had Kerala cuisine. The variety dishes offered was extensive, food was yummy & very reasonably priced and service was also good.
We had Kuttanadan Duck Curry, Thalassery Chicken curry, Chicken Fry and Egg Roast with appam, chappathi and pathiri. Mint Lime was a bit too mint-y, but the Passion Fruit Mojito was very delicious.
Adequate seating are available in two floors. Good parking space available opposite the restaurant.
Try everything else apart from Biriyani.we were a group of 30 ppl.ordered 15 beef biriyani & 15 chicken biriyani but not worth it. We've had parotta and beef previously and it was really good.
One of the best restaurants I tried in Ernakulam. Malabar Delight (Dessert) is a must try. You will also get authentic dishes like Kozhipidi there. Price is also very affordable. Would be visiting again.
Great food. Could be better if the level of spices in North Indian vegetarian dishes are a bit controlled. The taste was good, I would not give excellent for the vegetarian spread. I was told by my family who accompanied me that the non vegetarian spread was excellent and was a class apart. One star less because I can surely not say the same about the vegetarian dish I had.
The food here is very good Would recommend indian and kerala cuisine They have few special items which is must try The service is really bad would recommend to take takeaway or delivery The dine in experience is not upto the mark Good seating area Moderate price Ample parking area Good location Clean and spacious
Went today for the First time, and it made me sure that its my last visit.reached at 9: 10 pm and ordered a chicken clear soup and chicken kondattam as starters and ordered 3 fried rice, muttan varatiyathu, beef mulakitathu, and fish roast.chicken clear soup came at 9: 30 and kondattam at 9: 45.still waited till 10: 05 to get the main dishes.waiting for so long we asked them and they told the excuse that rice was overcooked, so it was delayed.hm.then mutton was full of bone pieces.and beef mulakitathu was not properly cooked.really wasted more than 1 and half hours.really bad experience.service is also not proper.
We went there to have breakfast, the food is very tasty and the ambience and the restaurants neatness is very good but still it too so much time to get the food to the table when we ordered. Service in this hotel is very poor we have waited almost 30 mins to get tea from there
Ambience is awesome. Spacious dining area. Food is a bit expensive. Their food menu is very exhaustive. Every kind of traditional food items available here.
They served wrong item, they could have ben made a call and be honest about the unavailability but instead the chose to cheat their honest customer. Good luck with this kind of service.
Delicious dishes and good environment. But had a bad experience from one of the front office staff. They were treating the delivery staffs rudely. Afterall, food items were good
Come on guys, in a bowl of curry, 1/4 is oil. Am not asking to make healthy food, but at least have some mercy with the amount of oil you guys serve with one portion of curry.
Ambience and services are good.but am not satisfied with the food served.not about taste, taste okay but About the chicken quality.some of bone parts were seen dark in colour.don't know why
Good food and also good quality service from the waiter, but not happy with the attitude showed upon by the lady at reception area.anyway satisfied with the taste and quality of the food.
Great place for food lovers. The Chicken platter is must try item. The place is neat and has car parking facility. They serve many authentic traditional non vegetarian cuisines of Kerala. They have good range of deserts as well.
Palaaram, the northern kerala style of pronouncing 'പലഹാരം'. As the name suggests, the restaurant offers a wide variety of northern Kerala snacks and dishes as well as other cuisine.
Though most of us prefer to have biriyani, my personal favorite is പത്തിരി തേങ്ങ പാല് മുക്കിയത് (pathiri dipped in coconut milk) and കോഴി മുളക് ഇട്ടത് (chicken dipped in chilli) പാല് സർബത്ത് (milk sarbath). That was my first trial from Palaaram, Seaport airport road and still it remains as my personal favorite. I strongly recommend this dish of Palaaram.
The also offers a wide variety of combos such as neychoru beef etc.
Enough seating and they have a new parking space opposite to the restaurant which resolves the only drawback of less parking space, I noticed earlier.
Serves Authentic Malabar Cusine with a wide range of inhouse specialities. Some Middle eastern options are also available.
Tried their Beef Kunji Pathiri and Perunnaal chor. Kunji pathiri was very tasty. Perunnal Choru included ghee rice, chicken fry and curry, beef ularthu, salad and pickle which was not up to the mark.
Have been here quite a few times and they never disappoint. Authentic Malabar cuisine. Some dishes that you can't find elsewhere. Like pidi and kunzhipathiri. They have added some new items to the list like chatti beef and beef pollichathu that were amazing. Ample seating, cordial service and great food. Sufficient parking opp the restaurant
Delicious. Super Ambience. Tried Tippu Sulthan and Beef Dum curry, fruit falooda and brownie sizzler. No complaints about any of them.all equally good.
Food is just okay. Sevice is not up to the mark. There was delay taking orders even it was not rush time. Parking space is too small can accommodate 2 cars maximum.
The most recent and the biggest restaurant from Palaaram. Only visited recently although I'm their regular customer at other two restaurants. This one is the best in terms of space parking ambience and what not. Food is always the trademark Palaaram style. Delicious, traditional as well as other cuisines as well.
Yesterday I had dinner from palaram. Thier kitchen was closed and only this available was pathiri with nadan chicken curry. It was really bad experience. They charged 220 for curry. And that was terrible. Hadn't sufficient quantity. 3 small pieces which doesn't had flesh. To be frank had pathiri with gravy. It was sad had an experience like that from palaram.
If you are in mood for some traditional, this is the place you want to be. No usual chineese stuff although they provide some grilled stuffs. The two items which you are tired off seeing in every menu.their specials are worth a try.
Had turkish alfaham from palaaram's new outlet, it was simply superb. Chicken was juicy and well marinated. Highly recommended! Their ambience is nice. Service also good.
Their quality of service has gone down a lot. Food is also below par from when they started. Received wrong item twice but never bothered to even acknowledge their mistake. #badcustomerservice
It's a beautiful place with authentic cuisines and a warm ambience. Their Molten lava cake is one of the best in town. Tipu Sultan chicken fry is one of the most memorable dishes I've ever had. Chicken Biriyani is on the drier side but still enjoyable. Cost is above average.
The three stars is only for the ambience and coffee. The food was too salty, served cold and overly priced. The butter chicken didn't even taste like butter chicken, I don't know if they are following some malabari style. Didn't like it what so ever.
Good ambiance.good food.good variety in menu.especially try the starters.worth the price. Still the order of service can be done better, especially when it comes to big groups like we visited. Heart content food!
The second outlet of the chain in Kochi. Ambience is good. There's ample parking available and some of their dishes are very good. The footfall seems to surge during weekends, esp Sunday afternoon and orders take up to 30 mins to get ready. Their Kovai biryani which sells like hot cakes on weekends is must try. They have ample seating on ground and first floor and also a banquet hall. The pidi (steamed rice buttons with curry) and patthiri (think rice rotis with coconut milk) are traditional dishes that are a must try
Good ambience. Delicious food. Only one thing I felt off is that the music is loud. A soft low volume music will be appreciated. We want to spend time and talk with our dear ones. But the music is a distraction which makes it hard to converse.
Beautiful ambience. Very friendly staff and yummy food. Easy on the pocket compared to other eateries. Their bakery section is also amazing. The pickles and other snacks are fresh and tasty. Definitely coming here again.

Paal pathiri was an undeniable delight, the whole texture changed from dry to semi dry with a vague coconut milk taste, gave me a flash back where Ichaapi acknowledging Paal pathiri and beef (PARAVA). Thalassery chicken had a subtle taste, every time when you taste it, you'll feel like the flavour trying to flee off, but the chicken was disappointing. Kunji pathiri and beef was a variety, pathiri having sweet sensation and the undercooked beef really ruined the whole dish.
Omg! What should I say. You guys are just extra ordinary.
This was my third experience with your restaurant (the Kakkanad one). On that first day, I had no idea what to order, so I asked your staff, which one is your most moving item. They said "Kunjipathiri with beef". I ordered it and omg, it was yummy like hell?
And since I go out and eat only once in a while, I've this habbit of craving for that one best dish I ordered with a restaurant. So, on an another day, when I craved for it, I suddenly ordered the same thing via Swiggy and had it at home.
Same way, this time also, when I reached there, when everyone was looking into the menu, I had nothing to check for. I had already decided what I'm gonna order. I sat there and blindly ordered the same thing. But this time, we were 7 people in total with me. Two of them were my friends M's friends, who were in Kerala for the first time. They wanted to try authentic Keralite dishes. And, everybody ordered a different different dish. So got to eat many things.
And we loved them all. ️️️️️
Here's a list of all that we ate: 1. Kunjipathiri with beef (obviously) 2. Chemmeen pori choru 3. Irachi choru 4. Kozhi pidi 5. Chemmeen pollichathu 6. Chemmeen dry fry 7. Duck roast 8. Chappathi etc.
Desserts: 1. Brownie with icecream
Drinks: 1. Passion fruit drink 2. Narunandi (herbal taste)
I loved all of them, except Kozhi pidi, since it didn't reach my expectations of childhood food memories. All the rest were extra ordinary. I can't stop myself from saying all this to the public. Omg
And another best part is.just all of them, for 7 people, in just 3000 ruppees.
Food was excellent, portions great. We ordered Kappayum Irachiyum, spicy and Kozhi pidi. I loved Kozhi pidi. The desert Malabari delight was very good. The ambiance is great, but to go to washroom, be prepared to climb few steps. I couldn't, so I rushed back to my hotel. Value for the we paid, very fairly priced.
It's an interesting spot located in Jawahar Nagar, near KK road. A sufficiently spaces, beautifully decorated interior; efficient and friendly staff. Coming to the food, they have an exotic selection of traditional food and drinks, you can loose yourself exploring the menu card. Pathiries are really awesome! They also have a nice bakery section and a nice collection of puddings. WE loved almost all the items that we ordered. Almost because, few curries were ordinary. But, overall great experience.
