Paloma Backwater Resorts / Novotel Kochi Infopark

Paloma is one of the best resorts which I have visited in Alappuzha. We got to stay 2 days there. The view from the resort is just amazing. One can witness mind blowing views both in suset and sunset. The resort offers complimentary activities like shikara ride, kayaking and fishing. They serve wide range of delicious kerala cusine. Especially their praws ghee roast and karimeen pollichath was a must try. The staffs were so friendly and helpful. The view we had from their for sipping tea is unforgettable and one of the best.

One of the finest resorts in Alleppey. With a beautiful backwater view. We really enjoyed our visit.

I had one of the best experiences in this resort, excellent location, the journey towards this resort itself is beautiful. I had opted for a private pool villa, clean private pool, hygienic bathroom and room, since the resort is kind of way from the city we ate our food from the resort itself, they provided us with delicious homely food. One of the most notable feature is their service, staffs were polite and friendly, provided our requests without delay. Looking forward to our next stay

Location excellent.
Cleanliness is great.
Food is average.

But completely unprofessional staffs.

Had the worst time during the stay.

Purpose was to work from there as they say they provide the space and wifi.

Staffs have no politeness while speaking, it was as though I was at their mercy when I requested to change the boating timing because they could not stick to the specified timing!
Staffs have no idea what is DND.

It was unasked for, that the staff came in to my room to make me talk to the manager, when I raised a request for early checkout because of these experiences.

It was also weird the way the service phone kept ringing frequently.
Service is for the customer call to their desk, It felt as if I stayed their to answer their doorbells and phone calls!

I arranged an autorickshaw and checked out on day 1 itself, in the night.
To top it all, the worst comment any woman traveller can ever face came from the manager himself - That in Today’s world if a female is staying alone, it is out “duty” to call you and if calls are unanswered we will send the staff to check on!

I would like to publicly put it out again that it felt completely Uncomfortable and Intruded, and not safe by such unprofessional behaviour and comments!

They also had earlier suggested that despite paying for room facility, I should rather go sit at their reception area if I want work so that he can provide a mobile hotspot.

This is the first time I experienced such an awful time as a solo female traveller.

Great property and hospitality with a scenic backwater location. Room was adequate - neither exceeded nor missed my expectations. Food was good. Hospitality was the best part - prompt service and courteous staff.

Wonderful resort ever stayed in life. Constructed in country side on a small narrow road but after reaching it’s unimaginable. Lots of love to Kerala.

Location is key highlight of this premise. Service was fine, pool was kind of Ok Ok.overall upkeep was good.
The price of food is little on the higher side, so we expected more, but it was also not that great, but fine. Bcs we don't have any option to go out and eat, nearby restaurants are little far away.
Mosquitos and insects will bug you alot, but we must understand the fact that it is alappy, so we have to live with it. Boat services, house boats etc are available, they will hook you up.
Got alot of potential, hope they will make the max out of it

Well the location of the property is just ultimate.also manish was kind.but the main problem was food for us.we took MAP plan and literally there was less staff due to which we had to suffer and food served was less.in fact roti and daal did not came.management should look into this seriously.we really lost our mind coz of food.although food was superb in taste.rest everything is just awesome.rooms and ambience is aimply amazing

Best back water resort in alleppey.

What a location it was and best hotel staff and best food and everything too good.

Even once enter into premises u cant go outside bcz of all services are available at hotel and Coming to rooms and back water excellent.

They were provide Boat riding and there is a Conference rooms and swimming pool for refreshing our self.

The resort is located approximately 25 mins away from the town of Alleppey but the road leading to the resort is a wide road until you reach the last 3 kms which will be a narrow lane!

Nevertheless, once you reach the resort you are greeted by Manish who will see to every request is adhered and he makes it a point that your stay is worthwhile there in Paloma Resorts.

The food was good and the portions were sumptuous!

Please refrain from oredering core Chinese starters as it seems to look like these are different in different places in Kerala!

The Allupuzha fish curry was ️ do try the fresh fish spread in their menu!

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view Lake and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. As soon as you come out of the resort, we see the village, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of resort is Lake view and you can book a shikara boat and speed boat also available here some boat house also available. Overall good location and best resort.

Alleppey Paloma Backwater resort available on 2 nd October. Private pool villa also available. Very good scenery and all basic amenities available there.

This was a very good property. Magnificent beauty. Nice swimming pool. Due to Covid there is a less staff now so you may face delay in service. Water bottles allowed 2 per room per day. You may take it from outside. Butter chicken was tasty. Mumbai peope will face food taste issues in kerala. However, Butter chicken here was delicious. No hot water in shower as that system here works on solar energy and the climate wasn't supportive when we visited. Rooms are good and it's recommendable property. We got a room in 4000/- but the charges may vary.

Very nice place to spend weekend with family. Overall was good with few limitations like swimming pool was not well maintained, wifi connection is very weak in room. Food is quite costly.

The property is very welcoming and good for relaxation with family members.
They should improve:
1.24/7 reception/any other service available. Cz I needed water bottle after 10 pm, bt there was nobody to pick up the phone.
2. Swimming pool is not at all maintained. The water was greenish due to marine growth.
3. I complained about the wifi as it was not working, nobody cared.

As it is a very nice and a bit costly place in that location, resort authority should improve upon their service so that customers can get money worthy satisfaction.

Nice place, good ambience, good place for relax, chill.

Only concern i had is food is bit costly and non availability of food as no much rooms occupied when I visited (i think covid impact).
My stay was end of Mar 2021.
But overall good experience.

Between rice fields and backwaters, paloma backwater resort is a little paradise. Staff is really kind and helpful, food is good (except coffee ; (). It's peaceful, beautiful place surrounded by nature and if u are an early bird, u won't be alone as many species of birds are observable just from room balcony.

Great experience, friendly staff, mosquitoes all around the resort, so be careful while opening the room doors, never keep it open. Location is amazing, good privacy, very quiet area. No issues from the local people. Bit far from the main road but so many restaurants nearby. Cost of food in the resort restaurant is very expensive but taste is just average. We enjoyed with our family for 1 day it was a great experience.

Nice place with good view, very friendly staff.
Only problem is the mosquitoes and flies in the night, don't keep the room doors open.
You can even try their boat ride during sunset, 750/- per hour.

Awesome.resort is worth the money.but drawback is they could have hired a better receptionist. That guy seemed so arrogant.

Need to write a really big review to tell you how hospitable and amazing this place is. The food, view, rooms, staff - just A class. Have been to many luxury places, but this superceded my expectations like no one has.

Do try their boat ride!

It's a beautiful resort, a perfect place for vacations, ambience was too good, all the necessary facilities were available, breakfast was delicious, the view from cottages was mesmorizing.

Resort is in a great location with some good views from the cottages. Service was slightly sub par during the initial 2 days of our stay but was better towards the end once the occupancy had reduced. Good place for a laid back vacation

The place was so nicely maintained, clean and friendly staff. A quiet atmosphere to relax. The morning buffet was amazing. The only issue is no restaurants nearby therefore u have to order a-la-carte from the hotel and it was a little on the expensive side. Apart from that, nothing else to complain

A good place to Hangout, I must say that it was a Wonderful Experience. There is a Good Ambiance and a Good View of back backwater. They have a good customer service. The rooms are elegant and the view from the pool is Beautiful. I recommend this hotel for business travelers and leisure travelers.
