Pandari's biriyani, Kakkanad

Tried the veg and chicken biriyanis at Pandaris, the pickle they serve is one of my favourites.
The biriyani is for the weaker hearts as the spice level is too low and the price is also on the higher side compared to the hotels nearby

Very tasty biriyani with very smooth & cooked chicken. The salads & pickles are filling unlimited. A decent quantity can fill up a normal hungry stomach.

Every biryani is fantastic, reasonably priced. The date pickle was delicious, and the staff's friendly demeanor was noteworthy.

Biriyani is ok kinda. Not so wow. Quantity is enough. Price is bit higher. Biriyani is not spicy. Not recommended for those who love spicy food.

Don't try prawn biryani, other items are ok.
Beef biryani is my recommendation.

We visited kakkanad restaurant for taking parcel, felt bad and left due to the behavior of the elderly man in the counter such an arrogant man doesn't
how to talk with customer.

Definitely Not a Spicy Biriyani!
The rice is very long and soft it is tasty.
Chicken is soft and juicy (again not spicy at all)
Very mild masala
The quantity is bit lesser than usual biriyani we get and Overpriced
Overall an okay biriyani, nothing wrong in it.
But didn't feel like eating it again.
But to be fair, it was good biriyani (different from what we usually eat in and around kakkand).
Worth a try.

Pandari's Biryani in Kakkanad offers suitably spiced food with friendly service and a clean ambiance. The quantity of biryani is slightly smaller than usual, but the flavorful pickle and generous serving of salad make up for it.

The chicken biryani has a decent rice quantity and quality, while the dates pickle is a standout. Overall, it provides a satisfying experience. Located along the main road, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly.

Roadside parking is available, and the restaurant accepts various modes of payment.

Quantity was less to other restaurants and the cost is also to much. Very less Masala and small chicken. Not worth trying again. Alakapuri is better.

Today, I tried mutton biryani from this hotel. The food was really good, and I really liked it. However, one aspect that could be improved is the limited payment options available.

I asked them for a UPI payment option. But they said cash or cards are accepted.
It was by chance that I had taken my wallet with me. I wasn't particularly taken with that one thing.

Food is ok but the cashier attitude towards payment is worse, I try to make payment he looked into my purse and giving orders to pay with change, the change I have kept is for other purpose. It is a shame for such a establishment tht have no googge pay and dont have money to return to customers and tht attitude!

Since I am not from Kerala, I may not be the right person to say of this is an authentic biryani or not. But, I can surely say that if you don't like spicy biryanis and looking for something mild, then this is definetly worth a try.

Mutton biriyani was awesome.cashier behaviour little bad. Otherwise over-all good.

Very small place. Biriyani is superb, especially mutton. Chicken Biriyani is the preference of my family and they love that too. Coz of the pandemic, we order now a days

Biriyani is not delicious here, I couldn't see any thick gravy with the Beef Biriyani here. Only good thing is that the portion is good enough with an affordable price. Also the guy who serves the food is good in customer services. This restaurant is located near to Kakkanad Civil Station and not crowded so you can simply walk-in anytime. There are enough parking spaces just opposite the road.

I tried chiken biryani and Its worst biryani I ever had no spicy no gravy also chiken pieces are not properly cooked also der is something smelly in that chiken bones. I vl never recommend to anyone.

Average place.not cosy at all to sit.beef biriyani was average and chicken biriyani was below average.the chicken was too hard to chew.beef was soft though.and waiter was very polite.other staffs are not friendly.overall very dissapointed

Pandaris biriyani near Civil Station Kakkanad is an amazing restaurant to have best biriyani in town. With a reasonable price and good quantity. Biriyani comes with good enough quantity, and remarkable condiment is the Date Pickle served along with the Biriyani.

Clean tables and Good Services are value additions. Must try place at Kakkanad.

Booked Biriyani from there via Online. It tastes very badly. Not upto a level what i expected. Taste was not good. Very bad

Have you tried our Malabar chicken Biriyani in long-grain rice? If No, Pandari's is the ultimate destination for it.

Pandari's was there in my wish list for long and finally, I got a chance to try their biriyani. I must say that Kochi is a one-stop destination to indulge in different types of biriyani. This eatery opens at 11: 30 am on every day it goes till 10.30 pm with a short break after 3.30. I reached this place at around 4.30 pm. The restaurant was open and luckily I was able to grab a plate of chicken biriyani. Normally the restaurant will not be operative post 3: 30 pm till 6: 30 pm. They will start functioning officially after 6: 30 pm for their dinner preparations. If anything cooked for the lunch is left they will provide to the customers who come after 3.30 pm. Its purely depending on the availability of the food items.

They don't have a wide range of items in their Menu Card. The eatery mainly emphasizes on their unique style biriyani popularly known as the Pandari's biriyani. Their menu card is as follows:

╫ Atmosphere:

There is nothing much to say about the ambiance. It's a small eatery shop which has got 4-5 tables (not sure exactly though). The place was quiet when I made the visit as I was the only guest at that time.

The service was good and quick.

╫ Food:

I opted for Chicken Biriyani as that was the only item left at that time. The biriyani was served along with salad and dates pickle as its accompaniments. The quantity of the biriyani was decent and it can easily fil one's tummy. The biriyani tasted like our normal Malabar biriyani and it contained 2 decent pieces of chicken in it. The highlight of the biriyani is that they would be using long grain rice. The amount of masala in it was also adequate and the taste was not that hot. The chicken pieces were well cooked and tendered. Overall I liked the biriyani.

One of the good options in Kochi to indulge in a different style of Biriyani. We can hardly find shops in Kochi that use long grain rice to cook Malabar Biriyani. This eatery was worth trying for me. This eatery is located near to Infopark and it would be a good option for those who are looking to have a quick biriyani for their lunch.

Had a fish biriyani from here. To say this might be the only dum fish biriyani @kochi i guess. The rice, and dum fish pieces were well cooked. And this could create that intense juicy taste for this dish. The sides like the date pickle they gave was also the best i could have. Overall i loved this for the price

Food is okay but not as delicious as it was before. They never prefer digital payment. Always in cash and they would say that the machine is not working. It's high time that you have it working.

Clean and quiet place. I had chicken biriyani (Rs-160). Its an okay biriyani. Why felt okay because the masala is not enough, also chicken is fried. Then the rice quantity and quality is good. Loved the dates pickle. Also they gave extra salad when asked and they provide boiled water too. One of the place where you will get good biriyani in Kakkanad.

Tasty biriyani and friendly staffs. Being a regular customer the taste of the biriyani have came down when compared at the beginning of the restaurant.

Theirs is one of my favourite biriyanis. The place is clean and air conditioned. Service is usually fast. Not everyone will like their style of biriyani because its not as spicy as some people like. They use long grain rice which is perfectly cooked and feels very fluffy. Meat is tender. One thing I have felt is that their biriyani is easy on the stomach, it won't make you feel bloated.

One of the best biryanis available in town. Mainly beef mutton, chicken are their varieties. Special dates of pickle is really tasty. Once you have it, you will love it for sure.

We had mutton biriyani & chicken biriyani.first thing i have to say is about their service.service is as good as d biriyani itself- very polite & tey seem genuinely interested in serving u.biriyani was delicious.rice was long as in kabsa rice & very flavourful.mutton was nicely cooked & tender.bt chicken was over cooked.bt still tasty.tey serve it along with sweet dates pickle & salad.i absolutely loved.will go again soon to try their beef biriyani.rate is also moderate- quantity can easily fill an average male.

Nice and tasty biriyani at affordable rates. The restaurant won't be accommodate more than 15 people at a time. Parking also a concern.

But the shop is not AC and can cater to up to 20 to 24 people at a time.

I loved the biriyani here. Tasty and yummy. And the dates pickle is so good. Small parking area is available infront of the shop.

They provide very good quality chicken, mutton and beef biriyani served with onion salad and dates pulinkari. Biriyani lovers will definitely love it.

One of the best beef biriyani joint in cochin. Very tender meat and quality rice. Less oily and mild spicing. People expecting biriyani with large quantities of masala may not like it.

I have tried Chicken, fish and egg biriyani. Very well cooked rice was the highlight.i just loved the rice.and chicken and fish also very tenderly cooked an? Flavoured along with the rice. Nothing special about egg. Same rice with egg and masala. But the dates pickle was awesome.
