Pandhal Cake Shop

I visited a week back and the staff was in such a hurry to shut the shop that he was like can you take parcel, pls don’t from here and pay in cash.
I mean it was just 9 pm - if you are going to behave like this with your customer, then I doubt how you would succeed.
And the brownie was terrible- he didn’t even heat it properly.
Pandhal used to be a brand to go to since childhood but now it sucks.

The place was awesome and cakes were tasty! We've been buying from this particular store in Vazhakkala since they opened it.

One star review is because lately they are giving out cakes that have started going bad. We've been noticing it for some time but didn't think so much into it. Day before yesterday we bought a whole cake for my Father's birthday through Zomato. And the cake had already started to go bad. It was dry AF.

We had to buy another cake from other shop. Don't know why they are doing this! Not going there again! Sad it has come to this!

BTW the cake was praline!

Almost all products are good in quality and taste. I used to purchase their mattancherry plum every year, but this time the taste was pathetic. Highly recommended.

I called repeatedly (5-6 times) to order a cake. I then got in touch with another Pandhal outlet and requested them to get in touch with Vazhakkala outlet, to get back to me on the missed calls. I’ve always wanted to try the cake, because of its brand value.

I got the call back “half an hour later” and was approached by the most disinterested staff. It felt as if they were doing me a favour! That’s a first time for me, considering the brand value.

Based on the horrible customer service from this outlet, I am giving this a 1 star review.

I did not order/buy the cake and will not recommend it either, based purely on the customer service.

One of the best cafes in Kochi. Kudos to Jobin working there. He goes beyond the call of his duty to serve his customers there

Tried a few delicacies and was really impressed with the taste ️. The donuts were really soft and delicious. The non veg delicacies were also flavoursome.

Generally this shop has some standard. But today, I bought and ate something named Chicken sausage cream cheese. It didn't have any chicken, let alone sausage. Got some bits of onion.

Quality of food stuffs where awesome, Thanks for that. But worst customer experience in store. Sales people where so arrogant. They treated people like as if they are buying stuff for free

Happened to me on 9/August/2021 Monday

I've been a loyal customer at Pandhal for years now, Every cake I've ever ordered is from Pandhal. And honestly I used to think they were the best Cake shop in all of Kerala until today. Today I ordered a birthday cake, asked them to write Happy birthday on top and add chocolate chips to their butterscotch cake. I ordered the cake on the 30th July so that there was no mishaps. Today on August the second I went to go collect the cake and there was nothing, it was a plain butterscotch cake, no birthday lettering or chocolate chips. When I asked why this happened they said they don't know and gave discount, I wasn't even bothered about the money I paid, it's the fact that they gave a plain cake that was disappointing. Never expected this.

A small place that gives you high quality products. Trusted for quality and service. A little expensive but overall a very good place.

I purchased an 1kg Red Velvet Cake on 19th. I had specifically asked if it was cream cheese frosting for which the reply was affirmative. The cake tasted very bland and flavourless. Not even the slightest hint of creamcheese. There was this mix of chocolate frosting shabbily done somewhere in the second layer. I opted Pandhal on a very special occasion considering the reviews I have heard and it turned abt to be very disappointing.

Hazelnut bar was super awesome.but chocolate pastry and butter scotch pastry were just average.

Cheese cakes are top notch!

Also the Plump Cake with rum soaked raisins during Xmas is awesome.

On my birthday bought a cake from here but due to lack of freshness returned it back but they refunded the money.so will buy again in future to see whether there is improvement

Great place to have delicious cakes, cookies and pastries. They also have Festive cakes. Snacks and sandwiches are also tasty.

Good cakes and cookies. Except on one occasion, the cakes and the chocolate brownies were exceptional.

Delicious cakes, good customer service and on time delivery. Variety of cakes but limited selections at weekend. One bad thing I noticed (at Kakkanadu shop) is that, they are taking GST without specifying the GST Number on Bill. One customer (me also) had a hard talk with the salespersons about this, but they are helpless

Wonderful bakery shop. The quality of cakes are so good. Though seems a like costly, its money for quality.

This order was highly disappointing, spending such a huge amount money for a cake that let us down completely for the gathering. The cake did not had a single piece or raspberry in it, not even the essence. On top of that it was covered with a pathetic amount of button like hard while chocolate (can't image how disgusting and messed-up this idea was) which completely destroyed the feel of having a piece of cake. I will never recommend this shop to any one.
